I am just getting into it, Robbert is helping me with it right now. Once I start playing some games on it I will let you know what i think of it.

Nope.

 

I haven't used MESS since version 0.111 i think it was. I used to have a special version available called RMESS back then too. Next year i'm intending to get back to it though.

Well, it would be, i suppose, if it didn't have so many bugs.

 

Only a few systems are working 100%, and most have obvious issues.

 

If you want full functionality of a particular console, you're better off using an emulator specifically made for that system.

a little off topic i know but did you have a look at the source code for fba xxx pro.

just wondered if you would do anything with it? :)

It's very off topic, I haven't looked at it, I don't own an xbox, and I don't possess the proper compiler/libraries/sdk etc.

MESS is a convoluted mess. It would actually be worth something if the 95% of the systems it emulates interested me. Plus, standalone emulators do a far better job overall and I don't agree with MESS's weird use of certain BIOS roms, like that damned obscure SNES IPLROM no other emulator uses.

I used to collect BIOS for MESS... haven't used it in ages, tho.
