    SNEmulDS 0.5 alpha released

    Robert
    By Robert,

    SNES emulator for the DS

This time, after sound and CPU, the big update is on graphics side! The graphics engine has been entirely rewritten and should offer a much better look for most games (especially RPG like Chrono Trigger)!

This alpha version also integrate a new configuration file, that allow you to choose the best options for each game.

    * New GFX engine that support tile address alteration (For RPG games and others)

    * Faster HDMA (Makes games like Chrono Trigger faster)

    * Much better line by line engine, which is now the default (Old tile mode is nearly broken in this alpha)

    * Better transparency support

    * Other GFX updates: Moved sprites 1 pixel up, Background color alteration by scanlines, fixed 16px tiles flip, better mode 5, better scrolling, new squish method…

    * Added configuration file support snemul.cfg (no saving support yet in this alpha) that allow specific configuration for each game.

    * And Thanks to Lestat for making the nice SNEmulDS Icon!

As usual you have to patch it, i already did it for R4DS/M3Simply.

Please take a look in the configuration file, you can change the ROMs directory and other interesting stuff.

On a side note, welcome to a new developer in the SNEmulDS team : thk!

    SSF 0.08 alpha R8 released

    Robert
    By Robert,

    Saturn emulator

    * The LFO processing of SCSP was corrected.

    * The dynamic recompiling processing of SCU-DSP was mounted.

    * The Sleep order of SH2 was corrected.

    * The dynamic recompiling processing of SH2 was corrected.

    * Because it could accelerate SCU-DSP, it deletes DSP thread option. After all, because the one which processed with the main thread same period you take…

    * Version of the state saving data changed.

    * It tried to be able to record sound. Key allotment is the Sound Record = F9 key. It is low, because file output is done with the retention thread of priority, when there is no room in machine power, perhaps it does not operate well. When recording sound, please do not insert check in Scanline Base Timing and Always Running option. Furthermore, while being close, because it is the schedule which modifies the resampling processing of PCM, perhaps now the sound quality changes delicately.
