    GameEx 6.60 released

    By Robert,

    Front End

    25th August, 2006 - GameEx 6.60

    * Various code changes, optimisations and caching implemented which should normally mean much quicker startup and returning from games

    * Loading radio stations in the background is now optional

    * GameEx can now load the emulator lists and databases in the background on a thread. This is turned on by default, and should be fine for HT or dual core PC's, but if you have an older system you might need to turn it off. I'm not sure as I'm only able to test on high end equipment at the moment

    * Emulators with databases should now load quicker.

    * I think anyone who has ever been ticked off with loading or return times is gonna absolutely love this release. Enjoy the weekend folks.

I didn't remove the hi-score folder options with this release because they might be coming back.

    New In This Version

    (For M.A.M.E. version 0.108)

    * Fixed a bug that prevented cheats from showing up. This was caused by a change to the format of cheat.dat.

    * Fixed an issue where some checkboxes would be blacked-out in the Maintenance screen if using the MClassic.exe.manifest file. This was caused by the major changes made in version 4.0.0.

    * Removed the Artwork option and added the View option to accommodate M.A.M.E. 0.108.

    * Removed the Output Device options to accommodate M.A.M.E. 0.108.

    24-08-2006 - Both NPlayers/NPlayers32 for MAME/MAME32 0.108 are available.
