SquidgeSNES v0.31 Released
retroguru.com reports that SquidgeSNES, the Super NES emulator for GP2x, has been updated to version 0.31. Below are the changes in this version (preceeded by the changes in version 0.3, which I was late posting).
Just released. New features contain command line support and menu. Get it now by using the menu to your right.
Added some stuff to the settings menu:
- Full screen scaling (uses the gp2x hardware, so no performance loss)
- FPS counter now optional
- Ability to use the “standard” absolute rom path /roms/snes rather than the relative path “roms”
- Option to swap around the action buttons so that it matches a snes controller
You can visit the official homepage here, or simply download it here.

DECO MLC system - added sprite buffering, fixed tile banking, fixed clear colour, added sprite clipping (used to good effect for pseudo viewport effects in Skull Fang), ARM interrupt bug fix and preliminary raster support. The end result is that Skull Fang and Hoops are now properly playable. About the only thing left to do in this driver is full raster support for the playfield in Stadium Hero 96.
You can visit his MAME WIP page here for screenshots and more.
