    retroguru.com reports that ThunderMAME32jp, the MAME variant compiled by *Unzu, has been updated to version 0.68_X (12/19). Below is a translation of the release notes about this version.

     

    MAME32JP base. -I686 the compiling VER.0.68_X' (2005.12.19) it is additional correction edition. In the problem which has indication additional correspondence. It adds KOF96 evolution and the like.

    PotatoMulti WIP News

    AEP Emulation Page reports that PotatoMulti, the Java-based multi-system/console emulator, has had some work done on it. Below are the release notes about the work-in-progress news.

     

    NES Emulation Improvements

    - After a big struggle on emulating properly PPU timing and other timing-related stuff, we finally managed to get it right (well at least, less wrong that our previous attempt Wink. This has enabled a new batch of games to run properly.

    - Mapper 1 mirroring support also fixes buggy scrolling on most Mapper 1 games

    - Moreover, Mapper 4 irq timing (was one scanline delayed) fixed Super Mario Bros 3. The so-marketed "biggest videogame ever made" is now playable (minor graphic bugs to fix).

     

    Enjoy some nice shots and stay tuned for PotatoMulti 0.0.4 release next week. This release will be supported under Windows and Linux systems.

    GP2Xengine v1.0 Beta Released

    PDRoms reports that GP2Xengine, a PC-Engine emulator for the GP2x, has been released. Below are the release notes for version 1.0 beta.

    SSF v0.07 Beta R1 Released

    The Emulation64 Network reports that version 0.07 beta R1 of SSF, the Japanese Sega Saturn emulator, has been released. There aren't details on what's been updated, but the percentage of what's emulated has risen, below are the details.

     

    SH2 emulator - 100%

    68000 emulator - 100%

    VDP1 block - 100%

    VDP2 block - 90%

    SCU block - 100%

    SMPC block - 100%

    SCSP block - 90%

    CD block - 85%
