Gens32 Surreal v1.40 Released
The Emulation64 Network reports that Gens32, the multi-Sega-system emulator for Microsoft Windows, has been updated to version "Surreal" 1.40. Below are the changes in this version.
Restored- Speciel Game Fix system. With my friend Ken's help, I restored this system.
- Movie record & play system. New format, not compatible with old versions of Gens32.
New
- A new SEGA CD formats was supported. That is the ISO + Playlist + MP3. In order to help you to create the playlist when you wanna enjoy MP3s. I have write a tool with this version. You can find it in tools folder. But it is not recommend you to rename the game tracks with this tool. Especially on a FAT32 system. Write the playlist manually will be more safer.
Updates
- Optimized the codes of the sound system and the video system. Maybe works faster.
- A new technology called "dynamic float correct" was used in sound system.
Bug Fix
- Some bugs disappeared when I wanna fix them, perhaps later.
You can visit the official homepage of Gens32 here.
Mocha v1.14 Released
retroguru.com reports that Mocha, the Java-based TRS-80 Color Computer (CoCo) emulator, has been updated. Below are the changes in version 1.14.
- Cartridge bank-switching fully implemented. Works for Mindroll which may be the only CoCo 2 game that actually switches banks - other 32K cartridges seem to keep the CoCo 2 code in the first bank and CoCo 3 code (or data) in bank two.- Fix for Mindroll which turned out to be a slight graphics optimization in general.
You can visit Mocha's official homepage here to try it out.
