PDRoms reports that zodttd has updated his Sony Playstation emulator for the GP2x, GP2PSX. Below are the release notes for this update.

- This release of GP2PSX version 0.10, as just mentioned, plays Final Fantasy Tactics, which uses 3D scenery.

- This is more of a "preview" version of what's to come. There is currently no alpha blending in this GPU core and there are a few bugs to be sorted out. For instance, when loading FF TACTICS the Squaresoft logo isn't shown, and instead shows a full screen fade in and out. There is also an issue or two with the ability to load textures at times.

- You should notice quite a bit of speed increase in 2D games, and the ability to play more 3D games at around 20+ FPS.

- So if you can put up with odd graphical bugs at times, this should be a good release to check out.

- All in all, this new GPU core allows the ability to play 3D games, and faster 2D game rendering.
