PDRoms reports that Easywrite2x has been released. This is only a demo version, but Easywrite2x is a new text editor for the GP2x. Reports are that it doesn't work on hardware yet. You can find out more information here.

PDRoms has reported that Florin updated his port of Spout (old Japanese computer game) for the GP2x. It's a very abstract "shooter". Below are the changes in this release.

 

- joypad now works better (the diagonals too count as rotation)

Emu#dreams reports that beta 3 of 64th Note version 1.1 has been released. 64th Note is a USF (Nintendo64 music format) plug-in for Winamp. Below are the changes in this version.

 

- reg caching reenabled (was disabled in beta 2, it caused problems which are now fixed), better speed

- implemented method for register access via exception handler that works with new memory allocation, needed for several games, also allows Animal Forest to run under interpreter

PDRoms has reported that Woogal has released the first version of his Duke Nukem 3D port for the GP2x. Duke2x is an open source port of Duke Nukem 3d. You can obtain it here.
