    QuickPlay v3.8.1 Released

    Emu#dreams reports that QuickPlay has been updated. QuickPlay is a front-end with many unique options. Below are the changes in version 3.8.1.

     

    * New Features :

    --- Run Random ROM thats never been played.

    --- Power Scheme Changing when running ROM. This is both a global option and you can override on a per-emulator basis.

    --- Temp uncompressing folder setting. This is both a global option and you can override on a per-emulator basis.

    --- Ability to change whether Quickplay fully expands all folders on startup, or just first level folders, or no folders.

     

    * Bug Fixes :

    --- Run Random fails if the ROM has no linked emulator.

    --- Using GoodMerge mode Quickplay would scan EVERY file on folder load.

    --- MAME Merge Scan Not working.

    --- Main ROM listing scrolls across when clicking on long roms.

    --- Upgrade to new version of Virtual Treeview component.

    Ville Linde MAME WIP News

    December 7, 2005 I'm slowly starting to understand how the custom Konami 3D chipset works. Now I'm getting some simple polygon stuff showing, the most complex one being the Konami logo in Operation Thunder Hurricane.

    DeSmuME 3D Updated

    AEP Emulation Page reports that DeSmuME 3D has been updated today. DeSmuME 3D is a Nintendo DS emulator for Windows. Below are the release notes (in French, but understandable).

    Sterm v0.1 Released

    PDRoms reports that Sterm has been released. Sterm is a terminal emulation program by Jochang (evidentally BASH-based). Sterm includes a virtual keyboard. Below are the release notes.
