    olaf
    By olaf,

AEP Emulation Page reports that Nestopia has been updated to version 1.23. Nestopia is an open source Nintendo Entertainment System emulator for Windows. Below is the change log for this version.

    1- Upgraded compiler.

2- Added an option in the video dialog to automatically take advantage of other

display frequencies. It´s disabled by default for compatibility reasons

but should be enabled for best performance.

    3- IDirect3DDevice9::SetDialogBoxMode() and D3DPRESENTFLAG_LOCKABLE_BACKBUFFER

are now ONLY set when a menu or window is visible in full-screen mode. Improves

    speed and vsync timing.

4- Added an option for tripple-buffering in the timing dialog.

5- Emulation is now stopped upon menubar activation.

6- The last selected file type in the launcher dialog is now remembered throughout

    the application lifetime.

7- File names that are too long to fit inside the screen message field are now

    truncated using ellipses.

    8- Minor bug fixes.

    Daemon Tools Updated

    olaf
    By olaf,

AEP Emulation Page reports that Daemon Tools has been updated. Daemon Tools is a virtual CD/DVD-ROM emulator able to emulate nearly all known copy protections on the market today. This version, 4.00, is a 64-bit version -- which can only be used on 64-bit versions of Windows. Below are the release notes for this version.

    Dear Community,

as promised, we released today the new X64-version of DaemonTools V4.

It contains only small bugfixes, apart from that, the release

notes from V4 32bit are valid here, too.

We wish our users a nice weekend and much fun with this new

    release!

Note that the 64 bit version supports 64 bit Windows only! If you use 32 bit Windows on 64 bit CPU you must use normal 32 bit Daemon Tools v4!

You can find out more information here.

    WiFi Lib Test v0.1 Released

    olaf
    By olaf,

PDRoms has reported on news from Stephen Stair and the Nintendo DS WiFi support project. Below is a quote from his page.

I've mainly been reworking some sections of code to better support IP fragmentation, I should be able to support that soon. And, the test program is coming along... version 0.1 can be found on Stephens page. - Version 0.1 only includes a "wardriving" app, capable of cataloging up to 512 access points the DS detects. More will be added before too long. I've been wasting a good deal of time lately - however, I'm getting back on track now and hopefully can manage to work on this a good deal more in the near future. Expect good things :)
