    PCSX2 v0.9.7 Beta R3878 Released

    A new beta of the Playstation 2 emulator PCSX2 has been released today. Here is a list of changes in this release:

     

    • Gui work: threading, layout and stability have been improved.
    • Some of the reported .ini writing issues should be fixed now.
    • Game database: bug fixes, more entries, compatibility hints for pcsx2.
    • Automated patching enabled now: known fixes/settings for some games can be enabled automatically.
    • Emulation fixes to microVU.
    • VIF/GIF work: Slightly faster and more compatible.
    • Much work on GIFPath ordering issues. many games with previously flickering textures should work better.
    • IPU retooled and optimized: A bit faster, a bit more compatible and much more sane (no more coroutines).
    • Removed hazardous MMX/XMMregister freeze/restore. Speedup and stability is improved.
    • Savestates are now free of memory leaks.
    • Disk swapping works on a few games now (not all yet though).
    • New "fast CDVD" speedhack. Load levels as fast as possible!
    • Console logging is now configurable to be as verbose as in developer builds.
    • Commandline support.
    • A lot of other small tweaks and additions.

    Ootake v2.47 Released

    Ootake, a Japanese Turbo Grafx 16 emulator for Windows has been updated today. This release primarily introduces two fixes for the game "Mad Stalker." Here's a complete list of changes in this release:

     

    • The speed and timing were brought close to the movement of a real machine. In stage 5 of "Mad Stalker", the problem that the screen has fallen into disorder was solved.
    • The processing that decides a vertical start position on the screen has been improved. In the visual scene of "Mad Stalker", the problem that the upper part of the screen cut was solved.
    • Additionally, a detailed part has been improved and corrected.
    • The execution file for "Windows 98/Me" was opened to the public. The operation test is not done. Please see "Readme98.txt" in the ZIP file about details and notes, etc. http://www.ouma.jp/file/Ootake247-for98.zip

    Yabause Wii Unofficial R2604 Beta 14 Released

    Yabause Wii, a port of the multi-platform Sega Saturn emulator Yabause to the Nintendo Wii was updated yesterday. Yabause Wii is an unofficial project and as such it is not supported by the Yabause Team. Here is a list of changes in this release:

     

    • support saving settings
    • support configuring buttons
    • some optimizations (a little fast)
    • scroll display of long file name
    • some minor fixes and changes

    bsnes v070 Released

    bsnes, a multi-platform Super Nintendo emulator has been updated once more. One important thing to note about this release is it will use a new configuration file and as such settings will not carry over from any previous releases. Here is a complete list of changes in this release:

     

    • configuration file is now called bsnes-qt.cfg; the first run of this release will start with a clean state
    • MSU1 now supports audio looping via new PCM file format
    • disabled state load/save menu due to a serious bug in Qt 4.6.0 for Windows
    • RawInput: all keyboards merged to KB0, it should no longer be required to reconfigure the keyboard out-of-the-box
    • RawInput: fixed a bug where Xbox 360 controller states were being overwritten by DirectInput controllers
    • RawInput: fixed a device sorting bug caused by moving ruby to Unicode
    • Direct3D: fixed a pixel shader bug caused by moving ruby to Unicode
    • Linux port: fixed sudo make install target
    • Linux port: default to gcc/g++ instead of gcc-4.5/g++-4.5 for one last release
    • updated to mightymo's 2010-09-20 cheat pack
