You mean they run smoothly on the Ouya or through cloud gaming? On the original xbox, I couldn't think of any emulator that could really benefit from it. Ah, I see what you're saying. I forgot where this thread was posted ... I don't see how this wouldn't be possible on the original XBOX. But who would implement or allow it? I figure if the XBOX can output video, it should be able to do this, but I can't imagine it happening in the near future. XBOX homebrew is pretty much in its dying stages. PS3 homebrew on the other hand -- that's a possibility because now we can output 1080P video.

So I played some MAME on the latest MAMEUI64 0.149u1 today and I am still surprised at how many games lack full or proper emulation. Some games are understandable as no one has actually properly emulated them -- but games like Street Fighter EX2 Plus, which runs almost perfectly using the Zinc emulator for years now, but doesn't on the latest version of MAME, makes no sense to me. Why is this? I then look at a game like Marvel vs. Capcom 2, which is a NAOMI game, and that was pretty much fully emulated using nullDC years ago. This also includes Capcom vs. SNK 2000. Running these games will give you this big red warning box: Of course, the game will run in MAME (couldn't get past the first screen with Capcom vs SNK 2000), but will be very laggy, and totally borked up. At the same time, you can load any of those Naomi games in nullDC, and bada bing bada boom, it works GREAT. The video from 1Emulation's own youtube channel a few years ago: Why is this?

I just e-mailed the uploader from Archive.org to hopefully get some answers. This may change the emulation scene forever if suddenly MAME ROMs and CHDs have been deemed legal by U.S. law. I'll keep you guys updated.yeah, have a ROM section again Hahaha... well, I am linking to the goodies from archive.org in the original post. I just get the wild feeling they know something we don't about the legalities. Don't forget though, this is only MAME we're talking about here.

I'm seeing it on the front page of all the major tech magazines now for months. For $25, you get your little own linux box, and the possibilities are endless. But realistically, what are you going to do with it? http://www.raspberrypi.org/ If this thing came out 7 years ago, I could see it really getting a lot more usage, but now it seems we've adapted to run everything we already want on handheld devices (our phones... ? lol) with HDMI outputs and laptops. Hell, I would even add old XBOX's with XBMC, hacked PS3s, PSPes, DSes, etc. as more reasons why I never would need a Rasberry Pi for homebrew, Linux, and running miscellaneous software. All the hoo-ra seems rather pointless to me. If anything, it's eliminated the need for products like the GP2X (a million years ago ), as this thing is smaller, cheaper, and more efficient (just without the built in gamepad and little screen). What are your thoughts?

Wow, I just watched this. Honestly, I've never been a big fan of the cloud now with all these privacy issues online, but cloud gaming looks fantastic! This pretty much kills the need to ever pay for a super expensive graphics card ever again. All you need is the right amount of internet bandwith to enjoy any game you want, while nVidia's GPUs/server's are pumping out the grunt work thousands of miles away. In many ways, I am shocked that the PS4 and/or XBOX One didn't take this route. Maybe we'll see Wii U in the future incorporating this to match and compete against the graphics that ONE and PS4 will soon have. Speechless.

A few days ago, Rogero (a legend amongst PS3 hackers), released his latest custom firmware for the PS3. Anyone who wants to play homebrew on their PS3 knows you first need to install a custom firmware on it. This is arguably one of the best available today. Have you tried a different connection? Try using DVI-D or VGA instead of HDMI and see if it works. Other than that, Jitway's answer makes the most sense to me.

Just noticed one of the most reputable sites in the world is now hosting the full MAME roms set, including all the CHDs. It's archive.org ("Internet Archive") -- a.k.a. the Internet Encyclopedia. Dont get me wrong, I need music to do cardio, I just dont watch videos while I work out is all. Agreed. The music video thing caught me off guard as well .... unless you have a TV in front of a treadmill or go to a gym that allow you to play DVDs, I find the concept quite confusing.
