You guys are making this harder than it's supposed to be. To be honest I just renamed the roms with Windows itself. Right click'd on each rom and renamed it. This is how it would work.. Originally all roms start like this: svc_ .rom or svc- .rom Rename It: svc_ .rom and svc- .rom TO 269- .bin Example: svc-m1.rom Rename It To: 269-m1.bin Then you do that for all the roms and zip them all up back to svcplus.zip and run it in James's MAME. There was actually a mistake in that code that I just fixed (I fixed it in both posts). Also I forgot tell you, you have to rename the rom files in the zip before you paste it. Since the roms are under the mame names. 269-m1.bin --> svc-m1.rom 269-p1.bin --> svc_p1.rom 269-s1.bin --> svc_s1.rom

It will be able to work for Nebula and WinKawaks as well currently. http://svcnebula.cjb.net http://svckawaks.cjb.net As for your MAME problem you also to rename your roms within the svcplus.zip you downloaded from kofchile. They have to be MAME compatible names. Basically you will have to unzip the rom, and rename all files that start with "svc- .rom" TO "269- .bin". Then zip the rom backup and it should detect the rom via James MAME32 version that can be downloaded from http://svcmame.cjb.net

The M1 Rom fixes music. Which music, I'm not sure. I don't know about sound bytes or something like that however. The P1 rom usually fixes that.

Your the first person to have a complaint about this. If it messed up the sound of the rom, then it was your fault for not having a backup copy. So basically, sorry to say, you have to download it again. As for the problems you faced, patching the files, you most likely used the wrong patches together. Your not really supposed to use all of them, only the ones appropriate for you.

Alrighty http://svcnebula.cjb.net has been updated! Big Credits to Weirdanzeige for this new package released that unlocks all games as well as sVc Chaos! Enjoy folks.

Well good news, were having a sVc Chaos Tournament! There can only be a max of 15 people online at once. That should be enough though since not that many people play on Kaillera. The emulator we picked is KAWAKS. Also it may not work if your playing someone who has a "FIXED" version of the game. Basically if they updated some files or something within the rom to fix sound or something. However it still may work, try it out. Also this ain't a advertisement, we just seem to be the only people having a tournament for it !! All information can be found here! All Information Here PS: It's also ok if you want to play your friends with Nebula or another emulator, but the default one is KAWAKS.

Just make a new file called: kof2002.dat and stick in the DAT contents within it. Then paste the file in the ROMDATA folder.

Hehe.. that's great you got it on Linux! I'm going to install Linux soon myself. And since the platform now is Linux with ElecByte, you get a lot more updates and stuff.
