Sounds like an AJAX issue with your browser. I would highly doubt it has anything to do with people posting at the same time... what are you running?

Disabled for performance mode, I believe. Viewing members profile is disabled for performance mode too.

1. Haven't made a 1emulation logo yet for the default Invision Board skin. Will do soon. 2. It's odd the forum has become slow again, even though we have it set to performance mode. At least, we're not completely down. As for scrolling -- no issues here. Please try a different browser or computer and let me know if you get the same problem. 3. Fast edit is still there.. it's just fully built in now. The way it works for me is when I click edit on a post, it immediately allows me to edit the post without loading a new page. If it doesn't work for you -- could be a browser issue. 4 & 5. Performance / limited access mode is turned on for the forums right now. See my news post. 6. I got to look at the User Admin group and see why it's doing that. 7. No idea.. will look into recycle bin settings.

If you click "Warn Status", there is an option to Alter Warn Level. If it's not there, then I need to look at the member group permissions. Not sure about RSS feeds... completely forget about those. Will look into it!

Hello 1Emuuueers! So, I forgot to *officially* mention that we have set the forums temporarily to Limited Access / Performance Mode. This basically means that many features of the forum have been disabled to keep the site alive. We are experiencing very slow speeds currently and trying to pinpoint what exactly on IPB or the server is causing it. What does limited access mean? - Disabled Search - Disabled Online User List - Disabled Recent Topics - Disabled Viewing Member Profiles and other minor things... The forums should have full access features available again soon.

And we're back online! We had to set the forums to "Performance Mode"... some features may say they are disabled (viewing member profiles, etc.). After we do some testing throughout this week, we should slowly bring the other features of the forum online. Other than that, we ain't going anywhere.

We've noticed it too... I think it's a caching issue. The more new cache files made, the faster it should get. I will try looking more into this later today. As for your avatar, IPB seized allowing GIF avatars. You're gonna have to change it if you don't like the way it's shown. Yes, I know -- it's a setback, but a minor one at best.

Nearly 10 years in the making, we bring you 1Emulation v5! Many believed the site was dead and forgotten, but I am here to say that we will be working rigorously to bring this site back to its full climatic potential. So many new things to mention - * We have upgraded the forums to the latest Invision Board (it's about time!). * The blogs are fully functional again! This is a huge deal, as they were non-functional for nearly 2 years. * Brand new dark design and logo (if you can't handle the dark, switch to IP.Board at the bottom of the site) Coming Soon * Brand new downloads section (it's going to happen this time around!) * New forums layout (for easier navigation) As the host and creator of one of the longest running emulation sites, I must say that I understand the emulation scene is "nearly dead". Many are probably saying that it's already too late to try to revive such a site as ours. However, it's NEVER too late, as we have also forgotten the rise of emulation on other platforms (i.e. PS3 and Wii), and the nearly perfected Wii/GC Emulation via Dolphin. Emulation isn't dead... there just simply isn't a website currently on the Internet that knows how to showcase it correctly (in my humble opinion). 1Emulation is here again to hopefully change that! Finally, I want to thank Miskie (for being an amazing Server Admin since 2003!), Hard Core Rikki (for entertaining me with knowledge of servers and scripts), and Lord_Snow (with tips on places to grab some cool apps to add to the site). You all are awesome... join the Facebook group... subscribe the YouTube... and let's get global, dammit! P.S. The site may seem sluggish for the first few days, but things should eventually start speeding up. Please report any bugs, errors, questions, and/or comments in this post.

I'm tired of spending hours once a month running a billion updates to try to protect Windows 7 from the latest malware. Rather use a Unix based operating system and not have to worry so much about viruses and such. That's the primary reason I'd ever consider buying a Mac.

I was looking into buying a high performance gaming desktop. I bought a roided out Desktop years ago with Dual Core AMD processors and nVidia 8600GTS and it lasted me almost forever. However, I think it's time I got an upgrade. Is this a particular good time to invest in a new desktop with new processors / graphics cards, etc. always being released? Also, slightly off topic: Emulation wise-- can the new MacBook Pro 15'' with i7 quad core processors be good enough to emulate Wii (Dolphin) / PS2 (PCSX2)? http://store.apple.com/us/configure/MD318L...uct=MD318LL%2FA

I'll be honest... I would highly prefer to upgrade our Invision Board before thinking of any conversion back to phpBB. Hell, I would go for vBulletin over phpBB any day of the week. I just don't like the idea of reverting... what I do LOVE is your new layout. I think it's really great and would suit a new 1emulation perfectly. Perhaps I could have you assist me in upgrading our Invision Board... I have already paid hundreds of dollars keeping our subscriptions alive (hence another reason why I am hesitant to move to a free forum). I appreciate all the help Cinder and I'm glad to find out you have become skilled in php/sql. We currently have a license for -> IP.Downloads * we should get this going * IP.Blog * will be fixed by an upgrade * (otherwise, all will be lost if we convert to phpBB... AFAIK) IP.Board (the forums) We can always re-install the Arcade here... I was simply unable during our last upgrade to convert all the previous stats, etc.

Got the PM & currently thinking about this...

If it happens, it will have to be early next year as I am bogged down with work. Honestly guys, all I need is a reliable soul who can help us upgrade the place. I have been paying to keep this place alive every month and have paid for the domain for years to come. I love you all, but I just don't have much time anymore. I thought of some 1Emu reboot ideas -- but it's going to be tricky. Again, I'm probably going to need miskie's help for a well coordinated upgrade. And history has told us every upgrade has been absolute hell. If we get a successful upgrade done & want this site to prosper, we got to start going in the direction of emulators on console systems rather than PCs. IMO, the main focus for any emulators on the PC should be Wii/GC/PS2 emulation. I'd probably also kill about 70% of the subforums we have and put them either in more general categories or in a closed subforum. There you have it. I'm always watching and always logging in. great post Ploggy! this is really awesome news, as I remember early in the ps3 jailbreak days there was a crappy PSX emulator available. Glad to see finally native support in action. Hopefully, we will see PS2 Backups possible soon as well?

Well said... hey buddy! I'm just hoping the Playstation 3 lives its full lifespan. It would be a shame if they suddenly stopped development for it after all this recent drama.

So guys, I'm always in and out of this place. Lately, I just have no time for anything... especially gaming! It's kind of sad because I own just about every game console/handheld, yet I hardly play any of them. Sometimes I wish I had children already so they could put these electronics into use. Anyway, what is going on in the emulation scene? Anything cool and interesting? What's the status on Wii/GameCube emulation? How about PS2? Are we emulating at full speed, graphics, and everything now? Have we emulated all the arcade systems? What is there left to emulate? And what is the top emulation site right now? Is there any? Too many questions... As always, I love you all...

Amazing pictures guys! So happy for you all... it brings joy to me to see people from 1Emulation after all these years finally meeting each other in person.
