  1. I was going to say, I really don't remember seeing PLAY magazine at my local drugstore. Then again, a lot of big bookstores have magazines from all sorts of countries that are in English. EDIT: Oh and who still visits UGO? I haven't been on their network of sites since the late 90's.
  2. Indeed! As soon as a new member makes their intro post in the other thread, I immediately start my stop watch to see when they make their next post. Only problem is, I never end up stopping the watch because they don't post again. BTW, I was thinking bgmegaman1 looked a lot like Fatal's friend that made a few posts back in the day. Now that I looked at his history, it is him! The other thing that told me it was the same guy was the nostrils. I remember them very well.
  3. PLAY magazine is available in US. I get both UK and US publication here Really? Perhaps I need to look into finding more info on their magazine then. So besides GamePro and PLAY magazine, what else is there worth reading in the bathroom?
  4. You guys do know I mentioned this was "old news I know, but should be talked about" in the description of this thread? Nevertheless, it was the best magazine around here. PLAY magazine is seldom available, as that is UK based. Plus, imports (of anything) are pretty damn expensive. And again, GamePro sucks beans. What else is left, "Tips and Tricks" magazine? Do they even make that anymore?
  5. This is an absolutely depressing news story. What a way to start the new year. Electronic Gaming Monthly has always been the most reliable and honest gaming magazine to date. After that fiasco with GamePro and fixing reviews, I never looked at them the same again. Now to see EGM close down for good is just horrific. I thought it was weird that the newsstands continued to have the January 2009 issue during mid to end January, which is usually the time the February issue hits the shelves. and the image of the last issue that will never make publication, but will be available online: Dammit.
  6. Watching that trailer was reminding me of the Rival School days. YEEEEEEEEEEEAHHH!!!!! LOL! I guesss I should order mines there too... Im a upper-mid tier gief user(to non-pros they'll think i'll a top-tier) and my job is having a tourney for SF4. I wrote down gief and everyone was laughing at me. Only one dude who wrote down ken said, "you may be the one guy I have problems with if u got the gull to pick Gief." Him saying that makes me think, "heh....so you're the one who's gonna own me." Oh yes....This will be delicious... Do you play ST too? Love to take you on on 2df. ST = ? 2df = ?
  7. Good question.... it seems like his account was deleted well over a year ago though. It would be tough to find who deleted him and why.
  8. Where is the best place to pre-order Street Fighter 4 for the best bang for the buck?
  9. It has been driving me bananas lately. I want to build a cheap media center PC that has DVI output and has a small form factor design (slim). I don't want a big regular computer for it to do the job. I have been looking at all kinds of used computers and prices for building one. I really don't want to spend more than a $150 if that is at all possible. Does anyone have any ideas as to where I should start? Thanks.
  10. I'm really not too concerned about the online play, as I probably won't use it more than a month, and I don't really have much time for XBOX Live. I am mostly interested in the multiplayer aspect and the prices of the games is not an issue.
  11. I am trying to decide between Soul Calibur 4 or between two FPS games, which are Gears of War 2 and Halo 3. For the FPS games, I want to buy the game with the better multiplayer than anything else. What do you suggest I buy? Is there a better FPS than the two I have mentioned that I should look at instead? Vote in the poll and let me know. Thanks!
  12. How do you know the people who work at those shops didn't replace your console with a banned console?
  13. Wow, no one gives a shit I guess. Moving on....
  14. I'm sure some of you have seen this already, but what the hell. The entertainment people have been saying that Philip Seymour Hoffman will be playing Penguin in the next Batman. There has been a rumored photo that has been circulating of what he perhaps will look like. Take it as a grain of salt, but the last time we saw a picture like this, it was legit, and that was the first photo of the new Joker. What do you think? 15. Sounds like a personal problem. Well, here's hoping it's not a rectal one. That would be quite a horrifying rectal problem.
  16. Let's extend this another week. It seems quite a few staff members, including myself, have not filled a ballot yet.
  17. Happy new year everyone! My dream is for this to be the year 1Emulation steps up to the plate and hits a fucking home run. Will it happen? Yada, yada, yada ... To begin in 2002 and to now be in 2009 is like a child finally turning 7 years of age. Pretty ricoculous, don't you think? Nobody gives a damn anyway!
  18. Internet Relay Chat, better known as "IRC", had a small place for 1Emulation. After four years since the birth of our IRC channel from the GameSurge servers to later EFNET, the #1emu IRC channel has officially closed its doors. Some of us had a lot of memories there that created laughter, joy, and even anger. It certainly was *the* place to be whenever we had a radio show or during a special occasion on 1Emulation. Back when I joined IRC for the first time in 2004 (pretty amazing, eh?), I visited channels such as #ngemu, #emufanatics, #emulation64, #pcsx2, #dcemu, and other popular emulation channels. I decided to create my own on the same server network they were on, which was EFNET, so we could be in close contact with emulation authors and other webmasters as well. We tried our best to keep our very own channel alive, but with the demise of the emulation scene, and with lack of excitement or will within 1Emulation, it was best to move on. Perhaps I should be the one to blame for not always being active in the channel or deciding to use EFNET, but I certainly tried my best. I would like to thank General Plot for his hard work in setting us up with a botnet for our channel during the last few years and anyone else who helped us to create and maintain it! R.I.P. #1emu @ EFNET 2004-2008
  19. Oh and did they fix all the bugs with the latest XBOX Live dashboard update? I read there were some issues with divx, etc.
  20. Thanks for the response. Can anyone else confirm this? I don't want to have to pay twice for a game.
  21. I was thinking of purchasing some games from XBOX Live with a points card. My question was if I buy a game with one XBOX 360, is it possible to redownload the game on another XBOX 360 by logging into my account?
