Wow, what a thread. Just read it from beginning to end. A few points I'd like to leave in this thread ... 1) Internet flame wars go no where. If you think you can change someones beliefs and actions by a piece of text, you are surely mistaken. It takes more than you can imagine to change the root of a tree. 2) I'm definitely surprised by Drake's (aka AkihiroZi) inflammatory remarks. I'll agree that they were a bit uncalled for and maybe Gouken did instigate the negative response (perhaps unintentionally). Nevertheless, we all must be kind to each other here and remain in control of our emotions. 3) This is 1Emulation, not just any community, but one that has a family of active members that have known each other for a long time. We have mostly always treated each other with respect and we should lead by example to our new and returned members. We know better than that. And yes, we have class. 4) One word: Respect.

I uploaded two YouTube videos last night of Naomi emulation with nullDC v1.0.3: Guilty Gear XX #Reload: YouTube URL: Capcom vs SNK Millenium Fight 2000 Pro: YouTube URL: Notes: Watch the high quality versions if you can by clicking on the YouTube URL's, since the video is much better. Also, the first few seconds may appear glitchy only because of YouTube video compression, which also makes the gameplay speed appear slower than it truly is.

What don't you like exactly about the picture gallery?

I've been testing out nullDC v1.0.3 Naomi Version since last night. Street Fighter Zero 3 Upper seems to have an issue with coin inputs, so you can't play the game, but it's emulatable. Mobile Suit Gundam: Federation VS Zeon DX gives me a "Caution 51: Game assignments are incorrect. Set correctly in system assignments of test mode." from the Naomi Bios. I tried going into the test menu (F2, F3, F4, F5) and messed around with the system assignments, but nothing would work.

[screenshot of Guilty Gear XX #Reload] It's official folks. The nullDC v1.0.3 (Naomi Version) is now available for download. It now includes documentation, which should help you get the games running. Remember, you'll need good dumps of the games, and you may need to use the accompanied "gdrom2rom.exe" file to create a proper decrypted rom. Also, the current gdrom2rom.exe will not work with roms dumped with just a single "bin" file. You'll need at least a 1GB track03.iso or track03.bin to use gdrom2rom.exe correctly, until the next release. Same changelog from nullDC v1.0.3 (DreamCast Version). -------------------------------------------------------- Videos (NEW!): - Guilty Gear XX #Reload Watch: - Capcom vs SNK Millenium Fight 2000 Pro Watch: --------------------------------------------------------- Screenshots: - Guilty Gear XX http://1emulation.mypictur.es/-nulldc-v-1-.../guilty-gear-xx - Guilty Gear XX #Reload http://1emulation.mypictur.es/-nulldc-v-1-...-gear-xx-reload - Capcom vs SNK Millenium Fight 2000 Pro http://1emulation.mypictur.es/-nulldc-v-1-...llenium-fight-2 - Capcom VS SNK 2: Millionare Fighting http://1emulation.mypictur.es/-nulldc-v-1-...millionaire-fig - Street Fighter Zero 3: Upper (Unplayable, but emulatable) http://1emulation.mypictur.es/-nulldc-v-1-...er-zero-3-upper --------------------------------------------------------- »» Download Now! »» Official Website --> nullDC v1.0.3 (DreamCast Version)

Are you downloading from our link (1emulation.myfil.es) or their link (emudev.org)? EDIT: Either way, it should take a few seconds to download. The file is less than 500 KB. -
nullDC v1.0.3 (DreamCast Version) Released!
Alpha replied to Alpha's topic in Emulator Releases [/emu]
I removed the link to the official website. That's the pre-release version without documentation. Trust me, you're going to need the documentation, so it'll be no use to anyone until its announced and released as well. -
[Naomi version of nullDC will be released in a few hours] The DreamCast version of nullDC has been updated! It now also includes support for VMU's as well. More games are now compatible with increased speed performance. Check out the screenshot of nullDC emulating with VMU support: The official changes: There are now two versions of nullDC. One version is simply for Dreamcast emulation and the second version is for Naomi emulation. They were separated so that the emulators would be more efficient and easier to program. The Naomi version currently does not have documentation and therefore has not been released yet. The Naomi version of nullDC will be released in a few hours with proper documentation. »» Download Now!

Did you see all 6 pages worth? It's definitely better than just 6 games for CPS3. -

Here's an exclusive picture for you all (game is Soul Calibur), which now includes VMU emulation: Thanks to KyJelly via IRC for the snapshot. -
Best explanation I found: http://www.entrepreneurs-journey.com/230/what-is-a-podcast/ OR "According to the New Oxford American Dictionary, a podcast is "a digital recording of a radio broadcast or similar program, made available on the Internet for downloading to a personal audio player," but the generally accepted definition has expanded to include video as well as audio. Originally derived from a combination of "broadcasting" and "iPod ™," the word was declared "word of the year" when it was added to the dictionary at the end of 2005. Okay guys, it's time to get some sh!t done. We've been talking about doing an official 1Emulation podcast since last year. Sure, there have been live radio shows, but never a true podcast. If we do this right, we have the potential of creating a truly entertaining and enjoyable podcast that people will love to listen. What we need first is a list of people willing to be hosts on our first official podcast. Do you want be a host? Let us know in this thread. Do you want to be a guest? Let us know too. Also, how should the podcast be? Do you have suggestions as to the people we should invite on the show as guests? How about the format of the podcast? We already have the client we will be using to interact in the podcast and software to properly record it and later edit it. What topics should we discuss for the podcast? Should it only be gaming or should we perhaps even add off-topic material, such as "love and relationships"? Let us know. We're going to do it.

This is just digusting. If you're that desperate, then just stand naked at a corner of a sidewalk. I'm sure some crazy man will pick the lady up and even leave a nominal tip. People need to wake up. There's a reason why men have a refractory period and women don't. Otherwise, people would be having sex 24/7 and we'd still be in the stone age.

Special Announcement: We're still alive in 2008!
Alpha replied to Alpha's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
Hahahaha ... here you are: Cheers! -
Is there enough milk for 1Emulation? I was thinking about how the awards are going to be for 2008 and so far it seems like a pretty dry year. We haven't really had any spectacular threads or news stories. I'm starting to blame myself for the lack of activity. Everyone is patiently waiting for their eyes to be replenished by new aesthetics for the site they love to visit. It seems that the hopes and expectations I have put forth for 1Emulation and the frequent failures to accomplish these goals have made people less willing to post and contribute to the sites activity. I was looking at my last blog post in 2006 contemplating the future status of 1Emulation and really I didn't know what I was talking about. I can really picture 1Emulation still alive in 2012, 2020, 2030 (hopefully I'll still be alive), etc. All it takes is some continued juice injected in this place to keep the blood flowing. That's orange juice of course. The Anniversary of 1Emulation? So here it goes ..... 2 months late .... but what the hell .... Happy Anniversary 1Emulation! 6 years in the making. Oh and yes, I know we had a quick mention of this in spam last month, but count this as the official announcement. To all those who said we would die after we were hacked, spam attacked, threatened, and after the removal of the rom request forum: Here's to you ... no middle fingers, just the facts: Birth of EmuForums (Later known as 1Emulation): June 12th, 2002 Birth of 1Emulation.com: March 17th, 2003 Today's Date: August 20th, 2008 Cheers to all! Let's keep this place alive. I can turn a key, but if the rest of the staff don't turn their keys, then 1Emulation will be here for a long time.

The truth is that Gryph has quit 1Emulation and has instead decided to join EmuTalk and become a soon to be staff member there (under a different username). I am not at all surprised. 1Emulation seems to be dying after all, so he decided to hop on the wagon that is still moving. Can't blame him I guess ....

Ah, I missed that rather large tidbit.

What would we be publicizing exactly?

Why is this in the "Computer Speak" forum?
