I think the real question is how can someone feel 'dirty' from owning a handheld? I smell rabid fanboyism behind this antagonistic post but I'll bite. Games that hold little interest? Seems someone either does not know what they like playing, or just can't pick a good game to save themselves. Off the top of my head, I think of Street Fighter Alpha3 Max and Tekken Dark Resurrection - most people here have at least a passing interest in fighting games - which are both top games, that both play up to the portability and short-burst-gameplay that handhelds like the PSP should focus on. My question is, what is your problem? Is your quip that these are console ports or something? How does that make them bad games? In addition, I'd attest that SFA3 and TDR are some of the best titles I've ever played, and I am extremely pleased to be able to take them around with me - I can't think of another handheld that would let me carry perfect ports of these games in my pocket. And hey, if fighting is not your thing, what games do you even like? RPGs? Get Valkyrie Profile, Monster Hunter or Princess Crown if you can read Jap. Action? Try Megaman or Ghouls n Ghosts. Any genre you can name will have good games for it. Puzzle games? Puyo Puyo, Lumines, Capcom Puzzle World. Driving? Ridge Racer, Wipeout. Music / rhythm? DJMAX Portable, Audition. If you somehow are so picky that you don't like anything on offer for the PSP, then you shouldn't feel dirty, but moronic for buying the thing in the first place. If you are here to biatch on about the PSP not competing against the DS, take your sh.t elsewhere. Either way, the PSP and its games are interesting to members here, and about 43 million others around the world, so if you feel 'dirty' for owning one, then it just makes me think we should have some sort of validation system to screen out the retards before they sign up here. I don't know how you can be so critical of Sony considering, if nothing else, their hardware is top stuff - and I mean both the PS3 and PSP. But more importantly, hasn't the PS1 both been the best selling console of all time with the largest library ever, only to be surpassed by the PS2? They far from 'bombed' the last 2 generations, even if they bomb now, and I still say that its more of a slow start than a bomb this time.

I think Greg Kasavin is a dick. Do you agree? If you don't know who he is, then just vote yes anyway. First off, he was an incredibly preachy, pompous and arrogant writer and speaker. At least, this was during his years at Gamespot. Now he magically works at EALA as a producer on C&C3 and is the most obsequious, ass-kissing son of a b.tch you'll ever meet. If I hear him mention how grateful he is for the opportunity one more time, I will seriously consider flying over to the States and busting this dickhead myself. I wouldn't be surprised if he spends his days giving head to each member of the sh.tty EA management that hired him. Anyway... I have spent the years avoiding his reviews and interviews just 'coz the guy is annoying - but had nothing that personal against him. C&C3 had its problems at launch but was eventually fixed up nice and tight by a month-and-a-half overdue patch that was really masterfully put together, if a bit late, and that significantly changed the game for the better. Greg Kasavin is supposedly the producer behind the direction and management of the patch, even if he didn't architect the balance changes himself, and fields a lot of the praise for its success. Now this is bullsh.t. If you read any of the interviews or forum posts over at www.commandandconquer.com, you'd realise this halfwit couldn't balance his way out of a paper bag, let alone orchestrate a major patch without someone else holding his d.ck for him every step of the way. Further, whenever he talks about it, his remarks are so emphatically vague, I'm surprised more people haven't got the impression that he doesn't know wtf he is talking about at all. And again, every second comment is how happy he is to be working with an A+++ dev team or how it is a dream come true. This balding fat loser sh.ts me to tears. I will die a happy man knowing even one other person on this board shares my hatred of the king of f.ckwits, Greg Kasavin. He may be a big fan of Neo-Geo (he reckons so), but I maintain this guy knows f.ck all about games, about making games, about their history, or really about anything to qualify him for the jobs he's had over the years. If he crossed the street in front of me, I wouldn't brake. Would you? P.S. I am aware that this is blatantly libelous, but this is the spam forum, isn't it?

I'd put money on that not being the case. Most likely one of those new-age punks who thinks its cool to openly disrespect religion, particularly Christianity.

Warned. I understand that your problem may not have been solved, but please do not post so many times in a row. Bump. Can anyone help dudeface here?

When I use ElSemi's emu my sound is distorted and there are still graphical errors. If you use any Mame at 116u2c, most everything is emulated properly, and I dont have any speed issues with it.

CPS-3 Roundup Post! + eXclusive 1Emulation Video
BlackKnight replied to Alpha's topic in Emulator Releases [/emu]
I suppose for the same reason there are clones... different sets of romsets representing the different versions out there. In this CPS-3 games can apparently be run off disc, or not. Here's my question. The flash is loaded and decrypted from the CD when the system boots up... Does running in 'No-CD' mode imply that there are kits for these games that didn't come with CDs at all, or just that the flash has already been loaded? EDIT: Guess James answered my question. These No CD roms are hacks then :/ -
Basically, but I find it works better and has more options.

And pick a name that is less nonsensically sacrilegious.

Oro and Sean are from Street Fighter III New Generation and Thanos is from Marvel Super Heroes. And wtf are 'Toes Chars'? lol. You fail.

I am positive they have lost money on PSP manufacture. If they don't anymore, then it has only been a recent change.

New PSP exploit opens all versions for homebrew
BlackKnight replied to Robert's topic in Hacking and Homebrew News [/hax]
As far as I know TA-086 is still the newest mobo revision. -
That is because Nintendo is making money from each DS unit sold- they charge more than the manufacturing costs. Sony is not- they take a loss on each unit and have to rely on the software to turn a profit. Thus homebrew, and by way of course, piracy, hurts Sony more than Nintendo, who can choose to turn a blind eye. Everyone picking up PSPs just for homebrew will kill the machine.

New PSP exploit opens all versions for homebrew
BlackKnight replied to Robert's topic in Hacking and Homebrew News [/hax]
I can confirm this exploit works. Also, it is a user-mode exploit that doesn't write to the PSP's flash memory. There is no chance you will accidentally brick by running this Hello World program, although any Homebrew Enablers or Downgraders released later using this exploit will carry some risk. -
I can confirm this works on PSP firmware 3.50 with a Lumines UMD code ULUS10002. Excellent work. I'll be hooking some mates up with PSP's again now.

Sony's "JigKick" unbricker battery + software revealed
BlackKnight replied to Mooney's topic in PSP and Vita Hacks [/psp]
We say 'brick' because your PSP is effectively a piece of dead weight once 'bricked'. Like a real brick in other words. -
Sony's "JigKick" unbricker battery + software revealed
BlackKnight replied to Mooney's topic in PSP and Vita Hacks [/psp]
The memory stick dump is real, as confirmed by Mathieulh, but extremely old news. The battery is fake. -
I'm generally untrusting and suspicious of people. I think the worst until proven otherwise. So screw everyone.

How to code Kaillera for mame
BlackKnight replied to DropDeadEd's topic in Arcade Emulators [/pc/arcade]
Get the MAME32 .67 Kaillera build here. Its the only one poeple play online. Or are you looking to compile your own? Since most use the older version compiling your own with netplay wouldn't make much sense.
