Any idea why my sound is distorted and static-y despite the game running at a good pace?

They're compressed hard disk images. Btw, the file you're missing wouldn't happen to be sf33usa.bin would it?

Yeh SFIII is mostly fine.. Warzard has a few crashes though.

I see your point. I just prefer not to tarnish the fond memories with the new thing that doesnt live up. Seriously Michael Bay directed Bad Boys... you could see Transformers being messed up a mile away.

Dissidia is going to be a hack game. It looks good, but will be all style and no substance, just like all the Square games of late. Shame, because a flashy but functional experimental fighter, with FF characters, and for the PSP, is something I could dig. I hope my cynicism is misplaced.

Not the best idea.. MUGEN is MUGEN... even if you pick the best of everything it will still come off trashy. A better idea would be for everyone to contribute original assets and characters and make a really unique game, but I cbf doing that and I can't imagine anyone else bothering either.

I dunno... I'd be pretty embarrassed telling people that I killed an HDTV with a door. Personally I can't see how anyone is stupid enough to accidentally slam a Wii remote into a TV.

I take it the only way to use this is if you know how to recompile MAME? Yah. It's not all that hard if you've got everything set up- the process is pretty thoroughly documented. Still I'm not gonna go and get all the tools all over again just for WIP stuff. The screenshots say enough. Now if it was a playable driver that was being added... that would be another story...

I'll summarise it for you. If you live in the UK and want to play Manhunt 2, you're screwed. For everywhere else, it is gonna be rated AO, which means you can't walk into K-mart and buy a copy- you will have to go some sleazy merchant and ask to see what they have 'in the back'. Bad news for Rockstar aye? Anyway screw em. They likely made it so gruesome just to ride the controversy-now it has come to bite them in the ass. Manhunt 1 wasn't even that good. I tracked down a copy amid all the bannings for nothing.

SNES Emulation on the PSP is far from perfect. I'm really dissatisfied with it, but guess there's not much you can do. I have a speed-optimised build with the latest speedhacks and such.. if you're interested PM me. Otherwise, what backup problems are you having? Thanks Mooney. Guess it has been done. They seem a tinge biased in terms of taste, but most of the direct emulator comparisons are spot on. What I gather is that the PSP wins in PSX, CPS and NeoGeo areas, while the GP2X wins everywhere else. Its a pity, but the PSP still has all the media, commercial game, and form factor advantages.
