  1. Blizzard is MAKING MILLIONS. ROFL. Good call. Can't you ride everything under the sun except a giant pig in WoW though?
  2. Hopefully the devs will have the foresight to let you import your card library over. I wouldn't be very happy about having to start everything from scratch again, considering how long it took the first time.
  3. That is bigger than I thought it would be. Someone needs to get that kid a New.
  4. Truth. Additionally I think we should have a rule that anyone who habitually uses punctuation marks to represent letters deserves an instant ban. There are letter keys on the keyboard you elite motherflockers. Harsh but fair. Seriously though, if you can't speak English.. hmm.. maybe there's some leeway in this for you. But if you just type like a retard because you're lazy or want to stand out, then GTFO. Stream of consciousness crap has its place where people like to be flocked around ambiguous meanings- Here? Just get the point across as simply as possible. Its just common courtesy for the people who would reply and help you out. Isn't the creation of dupe accounts to circumvent posting bans also against the terms of service or whatever you have to agree to when you register?
  5. I think I'll sit this one out... but I'll just say that you can have both science and religion you know... ...and so either argument that comes up here will be really premised by naivety. Good hunting .
  6. SO in a sense, you're saying the mod/admin would have to be the judge of whether the post was worth resurrecting or not. Now you just have a base of "opinion in power" vs "opinion not in power". I think you should either allow it or dont. Me personally, i sometimes feel i have to rush my chapters when i see the 1emuadventure thread receding to the 2nd and 3rd page. But if i had to make a choice i would have to go against my karma and depict which is revival worthy and not. Because in a forum we shouldn't feel scared to comment or contribute to something just becuz its a couple months old. I just related my thoughts on the situation. Based on that, I think it would be good to have a general rule as to how old a thread is allowed to be before it is classified as 'too old to revive'. Gamecop said a while back that as long as the thread is still on the first page of any forum then it is ok and I agree. With your example though, as Robert mentioned, it is your own thread, it has a purpose, and so you should never have to feel pressured to post, especially if only a few weeks have passed. This topic came about I think because I told off a guy for resurrecting a 2-year-old MVC2 review just to say he thinks the game deserves 10/10. That really falls into the category of too little, too late if you ask me, but I guess reviews now constitute another exception. Exactly. It is pointless and draws people's attention to an old topic for no good reason. So yeh my stance is that we should designate a period, either by pages or months, after which a topic should be closed to new posts, with a few of those certain exceptions to the rule.
  7. The Jap version will be out in a couple of months, with an English version say a month or so after. The only things that will be different are the scenario (which will follow GX seasons 2 and 3) and the larger total number of cards. I think it would be worth waiting for that though.
  8. Hilarious. Great lot of difference realising this now is going to make.
  9. not if it's only open to people with 100+ posts Might open it up to spammers instead if they were aware of it? 100 posts of crap, but not strictly spam, would be easy to come up with- we've had new users here over the last month or so that racked up that many in a day or less.
  10. I think I was saying something similar all day before seeing it. I liked Dead Man's Chest too. But all the fun was gone from this one... its a real shame.
  11. The problem, I think, is that whenever a topic is revived, it is usually by a new member or someone similar and all they do is offer a single line response or anecdote that has little insight or thought to add to the existing discussion. It is annoying then to jump to a topic looking for new info only to find the only offering being some moron's opinion on the price of fish. If something worthwhile is posted in an old topic then thats good. More often than not this isn't the case. Ultimately though, if something worth saying comes up on an old topic, it could just as easily warrant a new thread itself. The bonus of this is that people don't have to wade through pages of years-old posts to get up to speed on the matter either.
  12. Elazul makes good points about playing GLA- I've never used them seriously. Still remember though that the Generals themselves are insanely imbalanced and the GLA really got the short end of the stick. As mentioned they have to capitalise on the early game, but I don't think they have the ability even then to offset their staggering later weaknesses. In short don't feel too bad about that loss. Completely agree. Think about it though.. Starcraft - Starcraft II is roughly a 10-year gap. Blizzard also is confirmed to be working on multiple projects- SC2 and D3 wouldn't necessarily compete with eachother either so I wouldn't be surprised if we saw the Diablo announcement at Blizzcon or elsewhere later this year, with a release about 8-12 months after Starcraft II.
  13. I think Naetle is a better name than Turtwig, and, thus, I think someone with that job f.cked up.
  14. Hmm for the moment you're better off buying a PSP. Not much in the way of PSP emulation as far as I know.
  15. ................................................................................ ......wtf??
  16. Carriers will be back- I'd stake everything I've got on it. Hydralisks weren't shown either, and there is no way you can have a StarCraft game without those guys. The only units that are officially retired are Protoss Dragoons and Shuttles.
  17. Hmm... really? Didn't think it was really confusing? Hope some more disagree so we can have a heated discussion about this .
  18. Its been out for a good 6 months. Wait a couple more and get the sequel .
  19. Yes. That should be all. However I would just get the normal installer (not any easy installer) just to be sure the files are correct. The flasher program does check the SHA1 etc for the DATA.DXAR, but I would just say make it yourself to be safe. The only difference between the two is that you have to get 2 Sony updates yourself with the normal installer, rename them and run the Updatemaker to get a DATA.DXAR. Its only 1 extra step, but Id say do it. Just in case.
  20. Hmm.. this is going to come and bite Dell in the arse. People could go ahead and install Linux if they wanted to anyway, and this just gives Dell's support service an extra headache.
  21. Having said that, I've experimented will all available settings and still can't get a certain game to work...
  22. That's a pretty stupid thing for you to say, considering I am one of the handful of people in Spider-Man 3 thread who said that they really enjoyed that movie. Pull your head of your ass and see the film before saying something like that.
  23. I just returned from a screening of Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End and am disappointed and then some. Not giving anything away, the plot was nonsensically convoluted, decent action scarce, and overall an anti-climactic let down. Who's with me in saying POTC3 is utter trash? And, on that point, who else thinks 2007 is a year that's so far seen sh.t 3rds of everything?
