Hell yes Transporter OST. Fighting man - baddass.
-
I used to go to a forum where this WAS stickied.

You're this forums resident Pokemon expert? Also announcing these games now... youre a bit late. Just try the Magic Box for any info you need. Id play them except.. well... screw the DS.
-
No. Its a totally different exploit. Just install the eLoader and itll run without needing GTA. That said, its compatibility with homebrew is much much lower than the GTA exploit was. Barely 1 in 10 things I tried actually worked with eLoader 0.9.9.
-
Are you using the second version of HEN B ? It is updated to work with the 1.1 of the tiff exploit sdk... so runs jsut as often as eLoader. Plus you can just do it once and then sleep the PSP.
-
Im confused as to what part of using DevHook needs to be faster... and the chance of bricking, remote as it may be, doesnt seem worth the risk. Is there anything you cant do without flashing?
-
I've never had the chance to use DevHook before, so no. Since most homebrew allows you to set the clock speed, it didn't occur to me that DevHook was capping everything at 222. eLoaders never imposed this cap, so I thought there was some bug with the emulation or something. I'm just stoked that this PSP is now 1.50 compatible with everything.
-
Well, no, they dont. Master Systerm, Game boy Colour etc *maybe* Dgen and Snes9xTYL DEFINATELY DO NOT run close to full speed. It is very noticable and disappointing- PSPGenesis in the 2.71 eLoader runs faster than it does on emulated 1.5. The trade off is that hardly anything works with the eLoader, but EVERYthing works on 1.5 this way. EDIT- This is NOT true. The reason is when emulating you are locking the clock to 222mhz. If you specificy 333/166 under cpu clock in Devhook when emulating, everything runs fine. Mega drive and SNES are FULL SPEED!!! I just found this out now on another forum XD. I dont know however what consequences there are for running Devhook at the higher clock apart from the obvious lessening of battery life.
-
Well its for 2.71 PSPs if you have one- lets you emulate 1.5 on it. First download the Homebrew Enabler [Revision B] (hen_b.rar) from that link and copy it to your PSP. Then goto the Photo Menu and run HEN like you would with any of the recent TIFF exploits. If it works, the screen will turn blue, then green, then the PSP will reboot. Afterward, copy Devhook (devlauncher271.rar) onto the memory stick and get the decrypted 1.5 files from somewhere (if you need them PM me). Place them in ms:\dh\150\ Then all you need to do is go to the Game menu on the XMB and run Devhook 4.X for 2.71. It should open and then you can just choose 1.5 or any other firmware to run and itl stay that way till you reboot, just like the old Devhook. On a side note, since 1.5 is being emulated, the 9mb or so firmware that resides in ram steals the memory from other stuff. Iv found PSPgenesis and other emulators actually run *faster* using the eLoader for 2.71. However, it is still a real copy of 1.5 for all intents and purposes, and ALL homebrew runs on it. Compatibility is far and away better than any eLoader out now.

http://dax.lan.st/ Get the files there. No posts up on PSPupdates or PSP-Hacks yet. The readmes say enough. Basically using this technique you can emulate a 1.5 firmware (and all the wonders that go along with it) on a 2.71 PSP. Hell yes.

I use this lyrics plugin. It works with whatever player you use- I just got it from here because I still like all the bells and whistles of WMP despite everyone else using winamp. It searches for and displays the lyrics to whatever youre playing as a visualisation. http://www.wmplugins.com/ItemDetail.aspx?ItemID=916

via PSPUpdates.QJ.net Holy crap. Hopefully this exploit method would allow homebrew to have the same compatibility as 1.5. If so then... just... holy crap.

eLoader “Marzenbier” v0.9.9 Released
BlackKnight replied to Mooney's topic in PSP and Vita Hacks [/psp]
Cheers for that- I got PSPGenesis up and working.. pretty good speeds, despite being dead for more than a year, just has a lot of screen tearing issues even with vsync on. By the way Mooney, how well does Snes9xTYL 0.42 work for you? It turns up shocking framerates even at 333mhz and Im not sure if thats because of it being on 2.70, the eloader, or if its just a slow emu all round? -

Aye indeed. Hahaha I've waited a long time for this. Shame no version of Dgen seems to work... Maybe Im just doing something wrong. Still new to PSP homebrew atm so its kinda likely. -
Fastest Possible Video Card on this PC?
BlackKnight replied to Shibathedog's topic in Nerd's Chatter [/nerds]
I was in a similar situation a while back.. AGP and a low power situation. I got a Leadtek 6600GT. No regrets about that. I would have gone for a vanilla 6800 except that power requirements for that would have been pushing it. -

The Entertainment Pack is out already... buts ame price as the Value Pack used to be- just this time comes with a 1GB Memory Stick. Which is OK value. As for a price drop before Christmas... not sure. No official announcements as yet. Its probably a 50/50 proposition. Either way dont crack and get the Core pack, and you coupon would probably be a greater discount than a price drop would be anyway.

Bear in mind though that many fighting game purists will denounce X-arcade sticks as being too stiff and American or whatever... has to do with the bat style stick. They'll direct you towards Hori, a Jap peripherals company, but shipping and such makes this option not that worthwhile in my book. Just thought you should know X-arcade gets mixed reviews.

Firstly I was boggled in 1999 that I could run Mega Drive games almost perfectly on the comp. Amazing. Never really took arcade games to be as easy to emulate (didnt know any better) since MAME ran badly for me.. and the only thing I played was MK2 which is on some bitchy hardware even today. I entered the 'Emu scene' in early '03 coz I wanted to play 3rd Strike. No PAL release on any console I owned. FBA is the first arcade emu I every used and galdarnit I love it. Amazing.. fast- this was before it played NeoGeo btw. Loved playing Alphas and MvC and such, but was curious as hell why CPS3 was so different to the others and so hard to crack... The next thrill was when SvC came out, and the wave of Kawaks / Nebula builds for playing all the new romsets like that MS5... Kof2003. I was also on dialup so dling NeoRageX sets at 40+mb a pop was a pain Ill never forget. Anyway years on now nothing much happens.. all the NeoGeo games are out and in official MAME builds... Chankast hasnt been updated for ages... Now Im just a casual flaneur here but will probably descend like a tonne of bricks if something (cough CPS3 cough) were to happen.. likely or not... Ill get into the whole PSP thing though when eloader for 2.70 (dont ask) gets released sooner or later.

Wii playing Gamecube or not ?!

I also can confirm it does, just cbf getting links. -
Believe it or not: ChanKast too fast!
BlackKnight replied to Xeron's topic in DreamCast & Saturn Emulators [/pc/dc+saturn]
Thats very interesting. I had hoped my 3.06 P4 and 6600GT would be able to handle this when I upgraded a while back... apparently not.
