Technicality aside... I remember when the PSP was first out there was that rumour of a Sony authored PSP emu that could run everything full speed for dev purposes and that it was on the verge of being leaked. Guess it never happened.. shame thought but doesnt matter. Playing PSP stuff on a comp takes the novelty out of having a PSP.

Im on 1500/256... So something like 190kbs up and 28 kbs down on average.

Hah cheers for remembering. I figure it wont be long now. But all the talk of emulators not working is kinda scaring me- I thought the compatibility list would be more or less identical to that of the 2.5/6 GTA loader. I really only want this for DGEN 1.70... so fingers crossed they sort that out by the time they release the 2.7x version... and hopefully thatll be in the next day or so.

Good news but as before I really dont want to try downgrading. Im praying for Fanjita to release the eLoader for 2.70... been checking madly since last Wednesday... still nothing... the wait is killing me. If it takes too long I might just crack and give this downgrader a go... *shudder*

I have gone through a lot of PC controllers but never found any I really liked. Sidewinders have broken on me.. all adapters I find seem cheapish and eventually fail, and lagged slightly even when they did work. Right now Im using a Nostromo ng45 which is utterly painful to hold and play with. Anyway since the Xbox360 controller has been getting a lot of good reviews design-wise and features a USB port out of the box, I figure I might as well get one. However I hear that there are calibration problems and other such with this when used on the PC that may or may not be the drivers fault. So does anyone have this / use it? and if so what do you think of it? I dont care about software to map game imputs or save profiles- I want a sturdy decent controller that will just work. Any ideas?

The figure I heard was 85, but whatever. Gaming.. meh it won't lift the cpu bottleneck up all that much- that's still a vid card thing. Same load times except replace vid card with hdd / ram clocks. Also I don't know about video editing- I use Avid Mediacomposer on a P4 3.06, 1GB ram and I don't have any issues at all- I work with HD video mostly. Realtime rendering is always turned on- I suppose bouncing down at the end might be faster but I wouldn't upgrade just for that. That's just me though- I got excited when you mentioned that's what you were buying it for. I suppose if you used AfterEffects extensively or were transcoding large chunks of footage a lot then this would be useful.

Makesure you get a Taxi if you're going to be walking with a PS3 or Wii in your hands as you walk home later this year. I was so close to being mugged when I was waiting for a bus while holding my PS2 a good 5 or 6 years ago... why catching a bus? Long story- But yeh EB Games in Sydney are all dodgy as hell. I use a select few eBay stores, the owners of which I know, and since I got a PSP, play-asia.

Now see the Doom film very nearly looked like a Doom film. I could have tolerated it being a cheesy B movie... but whyd the unnecessarily have to go and molest the basic premise of Doom entirely?

Im one of those anti-Halo people so take what I say with a grain of salt... But I DUNNO short filmmakers can just as likely crack when they have to make a feature. Especially one with a dodgy premise. Thats my obligatory doomsaying, but otherwise lets wait and see. Im not enthused thus far in any case.

Thats true but too simple. It doesnt account for all the other intricacies of such a relationship... .. of course Im not going to be man enough to put forward a more complete one. Mostly because I dont have a firm idea of what I think it is. Im struggling with the notion that love isnt so much a symbiotic equal two-way relationship as it is a relationship of two people just using each other for whatever it is they need at the same time. That is depressing but, hell, Im still young. Hopefully Ill be turned around on this sooner or later.

Ladder is cool. There is at least to some extent a value to items and duelling can be fun at low levels (<50) still. Ladder is good mostly because the armour I'm needing can only be made by the Enigma runeword which is a ladder only combination. There are items invaluable to almost every build that can only be found or made in Ladder games.

There's never an absolute good and evil. However, anyone who would try to justify hijacking planes and killing civilians with the pale rhetoric that 'one man's freedom fighter is another man's terrorist' should be shot on sight.

Try signing up at http://tekken.pspeeps.com/. They have 'ghost sharing packs' for each version of the game that are pretty basic to lay down. After you get the right one on your stick, you can just paste ghosts into the folder and everything will work smoothly.

Yeh the bad or good thing about the Tekken 5 series, depending on who you are, is the juggling system. Get tossed, and youre screwed. My characters have juggles which do roughly 50% if you pull them off... which is ridiculous however you look at it. On ghosts... my Bruce is now Tekken Lord.. 2 more to go , and I have a Dragunov at Lone Wolf. I'll post them when they're both Divine Fists.

Started playing this again. First time since 2003. For a pure lack of anything better to do. Does anyone play now, or does anyone want to start playing ladder? No one I know plays still.

Each character has a number associated with them. My Bruce is PLAYER25.GHO For example Bruce is 25, Dragunov is 32. I don't know the others though- you'll have to experiment or look for a list.

Okay I've had the game for more or less one day and my broken hands are still having trouble getting things 100%. So this ghost is pretty nasty, but hey what the hell- I'll update it when its half decent. DragonKeeper_Bruce.zip

Curious LSD- you have a non-English version right? How is Dojo mode- lots of Jap text?
