I was lookin for the biggass chd recently. Go to Romshare... the break a rar into 20MB parts... easier to dl for a dial up user.

Umm... you can 'trade' with those Torrent clients... BitTorrent, BitTornado... I'm still trying to find SF3 Double Impact... damn that one's hard tog et hold of.

I've also had this problem when sending the kawaks and loader to other people. You can use the loader, and the asr.dat can match perfectly, and yet when you look at the games... even 'all games' not only available game... it won't show the games from teh dat. Only the normal ones. So yeh I think I know the problem... no solution tho sorry .

Umm... since SF3 and the rest of those CPS-3 games all have DC ports, is it safe to say that the only reason to really emulate CPS-3 atm is Warzard? In which case I don't think anybody will worry about it so much now that Chankast is out.

True. I like the way, after 3 months of dev, Chankast has taken off so quickly. I can't wait till Third Strike is bug-free, and decently fast.

I'm suprised it stood up to Starcraft... the most fanboyish game ever.

Just to clear this up for me, is emulation like this being slow mostly due to CPUs or vid cards? IE having a 3.0Ghz CPU will compensate for, say, a GeForce FX 5200?

On that issue of crackling sound I think its the sound card's fault. I have a crappy SBLive 5 from Dell, and I get teh crackling, but my cousin who has an Audigy 1 doesn't.

It was a bad string of games, but it's not really the press' fault. MK3 was bad, and MK4 was horrible. That only stood out because MK 1 and 2 were so brilliant in terms of atmosphere, storyline, graphics etc etc. They couldn't really top the standards they set for themselves, and so lost the plot completely.

Unless I MUST have it (rarely) I tend to wait about a year or so till it hits half price. However this method caused nightmares when I finally tried to pick up a Time Crisis 2, Guilty Gear XX or Marvel vs Capcom 2.

FBA needs you to compile your own version yeh, I don't think it uses DATs. If you 've never done it before, don't even try... its a major hassle so you'd better be dedicated.
