  1. That really sucks. I have no idea what the fees are like, but I would definitely say get to a doctor as soon as. One of the few good things about living in my country is Medicare- all doctors visits are pretty much government paid for. I could not imagine what it's like being in your position
  2. A machine at a kiosk at GDC this week actually suffered a Red Ring Of Death on the showfloor; I'm from the 360 camp but I gotta admit this is hilarious.
  3. Yeh they are. I guarantee once you play through the first 2 cases of the first game you'll be kicking yourself for not getting them sooner.
  4. Nope, no cross-platform play in Turok. How does it compare to the old ones? Well, I think the gameplay is basically that same thing only heavily refined, while the setup is completely different. The bow and knife kick way more ass than they ever have before, but if you were expecting a real bare-shirted tribal in'jun hero then you'll miss that. This new Turok is basically a marines vs aliens shooter where the aliens just so happen to be dinosaurs and with a slight stealth / hunting element thrown in. To summarise; its a great game IMO but very different to the older Turoks.
  5. ...in English, baby! Sorry, I felt compelled to make this thread. Buy or not; http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-ba-49-en-70-2hbc.html
  6. Ah well I'll to play wiht you when I get back then. I am really liking this game. Can't wait to get some decently pinged multiplayer
  7. For those games the US version works on NTSC-U and PAL machines. I'll PM you Sorry Bambi- those 3 games you mentioned are NTSC-J locked on the 360.
  8. What were the games? You can always google around but at least its not certain that they WON'T work.
  9. Can I have them LSD?? Bambi- It depends on both the game and the console region. Some games like this NTSC-J Lost Odyssey will work on a PAL 360. Check up the game on Play-Asia- it says there which consoles each version of the game will work on. Eg LO; http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-dw-77-...ey-70-2iys.html
  10. It's getting quite funny now... Konami / Bemani are getting screwed out of all the ideas they came up with first, but never took off overseas. Harmonix, Red Octane and Activision must be laughing their heads off.
  11. What makes you say that? Please explain. Tilting of the head is the only one I've ever noticed in that situation.
  12. It's evening here. Plus I'll get a few chances to check the internet at work. But gah only by the end of the week? I'm going on holidays this Saturday :/.
  13. Yeh- there's also CTF and a mode like Assault from UT.
  14. Who wants to play some Turok on Live? Maybe some small FFA or co-op?
  15. SvC too. This thread just keeps coming up hey?
  16. Umm... maybe you should have thought of a way to get the driver back, and not everyone else on the bus. You owned a bunch of innocent people, and yourself as well- you got set back all that time too.
  17. Why? HD. HD resolutions are a waste of processing power. I'd much rather see more polygons pushed at better framerates in 480p, looking absolutely groundbreaking, than decent HD graphics that don't really blow you away at all.
  18. Nice work. Can't believe how long its taking me to get a decent Gamerscore.
  19. Its not all bad. You don't play games to win prizes or anything unless you're heaps pro but the Gamerscore does give you a way to show off to your friends if you manage to do somethng really cool in game.
  20. They've always been overrated by it wasn't until DMC4 that the hype really hit that wall. I was expecting something completely revolutionary for the way this game was talked up.
  21. Release window: Late July in Japan http://au.gamespot.com/news/6186201.html Also why the 360 version of VF5 looks better; it was in development for longer, and the the 360 is easier to develop for. Who cares if it has a different brand of GPU... it still owns the PS3. In the butt, as it were . Seriously ^ I don't know why. I think that's one for the PS3 camp to answer.
  22. My vote is for Live. I'm sure there are ways you can do both, but assuming you don't want the risk of whatever, stay legit and go Live. With Live you get online play for all games with a great matchmaking service. Even if you don't pay for Live and go with a Silver membership, you still get friends, XBL Arcade games, DLC for games, patches, multimedia and system updates. That's a lot to be giving up. Assuming you don't want to whore out a backup of every 360 game released, it might not be worth it in the long run. Also what do you mean when you say a Dashboard update that will render CFW useless? The Dashboard does get some pretty hefty updates now and again (Divx / Xvid support being one of the big draws of the most recent update) and as far as I can tell you be sacrificing the ability to update without a Live connection. May be wrong, but I don't think Microsoft offers ISO-based firmware updates online anymore. PS. Isn't it only the DVD-ROM drives firmware that gets flashed... not the whole system's? Forgive me if I'm confused on that matter. PPS. And yeh, with no Live, no SSF2HDR for you!
