  1. I've never really been into VF but I guess this is as good a time as any to get into it. Are you using that Hori VF stick? I'm somewhat tempted to give that and the game a try.
  2. Yeh. All Pros (non-Halo) and Arcades that have HDMI have it.
  3. So anyway I got a 360 recently and was compelled to pick up the famed Gears of War. Long story short, I'm a little disappointed. Sure its purdy and so on but... The story kinda sucks, there aren't enough set piece battles, and it is wayy too short. The shooting is also not that fun. I can't put my finger on why but I feel more like going back and playing Halo 1 or Unreal Championship 2, both of which I also only just got, than Gears. I'm not unhappy I bought it just... Expected more. I see what you meant now GameCop. Wonder if Halo 2 and 3 will be more fun.
  4. The only things I am missing out on with my 360 are MGS4 and Tekken 6. I couldn't give a damn about anything else the PS3 has, and who knows- MGS and Tekken may jump ship. MGS more likely than Tekken but here's hoping. In other words, I have no desire for a PS3 atm or in the foreseeable future.
  5. Fatal, don't you think the graphics of VF5 on your 360 blow this away?
  6. Congrats. I just got one as well... new 65nm board... no RRoDs to worry about Hope you enjoy it more than your Wii... I think you will.
  7. It's to do with the file system. 1.50 only supports FAT16 or something like that which only supports a maximum file size of 4gb. Give or take.
  8. Is this a joke? I can only assume this is a parody of some sort because you have described almost to the letter my argument as to why people should not buy a Wii.
  9. Basically the TOC thing... you need to have a disc with a bigger Table Of Contents than the one you're swapping to. So DVD9 games = bigger games = bigger TOCs. I agree with Cinder- this is more likely what's behind your skipping issue. Rebuilding in my opinion does nothing but here's how anyway. 1) Open ISO Buster, get your disc / ISO up, right-click the ISO tag and go; Folder tree and file information > List tree-info (in txt file) > LBA, Relative Path Save your text file to a new folder. Then select all the files in the ISO, right-click and go Extract Objects and select the same folder. 2) Open CDGENPS2, go; Advanced > Import Tree File Then go File > Save Image. There you now have a rebuilt ISO. You can burn it with Nero or whatever you like though. I don't believe it will make a difference, but hey give it a shot.
  10. But there are some things you will need that kernel for. Those things can't go past 4gb sticks.
  11. I replied to your PM. That's likely the problem. Alternatively those games require 3.52. I'm pretty sure nothing requires 3.71 yet.
  12. Get a 8GB memory stick, it will fill up fast Doesn't hombrew and stuff that requires the 1.50 kernel to run not work with the 8gb stick?
  13. OK, since you have no idea what firmware is, let me just say that there will be several arduous and risky (to your PSP) steps that you'll have to take before you can try this fullscreen stuff. In all I'd say don't bother. It's not worth it.
  14. No problem. They can go once you're done. Congrats on hacking the PSP! Try out Silent Hill Origins if you're into that kind of thing. I'm quite liking it.
  15. PS1 Emulation is mostly flawless. You don't use an emulator for that though... you just package PS1 ISOs into a PSP format. Other emulators? NES, Master System, Turbografx etc all run 100% at 222mhz. CPS1, CPS2 and NeoGeo run 100% at 333mhz. Mega Drive and SNES are close but not quite 100%. MAME... don't even go there. PSP MAMEs suck.
  16. CSOs are compressed but otherwise no difference. For a handful of games that will make make them load longer or lag but I use them anyway. For any CFW, just make a folder at the memory stick root called ISO\ and put the files in there. They'll show up under Game > Memory Stick on the XMB. From there on let the good times roll.
  17. Congratulations. Decided which CFW you're going to jump to from there?
  18. First off what firmware version is your PSP? All of the homebrew solutions out there are pretty bad... the only real way to do it would be to grab a Slim PSP and one of those TVs or AV boxes that can scale video output. That said let me know what you're running first because there are crappy things you might be able to use.
  19. I am pretty sure I heard somewhere part of the rebalancing involved giving characters new moves to help them deal with their comparative weaknesses... can someone else back me up on that?
  20. I assume this hasn't been posted yet? Check out these new sprites of cast. They are unfinished, unshaded and so forth but who cares- they look nice. Apparently leaks. Here're Cammy and Vega... coz I like Cammy and Vega. Check the source for Sagat, Bison.. etc etc. If you frequent SRK this is old news so disregard plz. Source: [NeoGAF Forums]
  21. To get to 3.71 M33 you'd first need to go to 3.52 M33 and update from there. I say just go with something like 3.51 M33 or 3.52. Its only one step from where you're at, not 2. Less flashing = less risk.
  22. Oh yeh, and keep the charger plugged in .
