It is possible but it is extremely hard and don't expect to do it on you first (or second, or hell even third) runthough of the game.

X-Arcade XXL Mame Control Panel for $99.95!
BlackKnight replied to Alpha's topic in Gaming and Tech News [/gtech]
Apart from anything else the shipping alone to where I'm at would ruin any perceptions of this being a good deal. -
Wise words. All take heed.

Sonic CD is not the best. Its gameplay is loose and unrefined when compared to either Sonic 1 or 2. Controls are less responsive. Its visual style is incoherent. Level design is just plain bad, and for a series like Sonic its boss encounters seem like they were conceived over lunch. The most interesting part was the time traveling mechanic, but even it really was just a gimmick and didn't go anywhere or affect much of anything. The soundtrack was a redeeming feature but with all the ports and emulation I can't even remember which region's it was that I liked. In all Sonic CD was hyped up then and even now simply because it was a Mega CD game. Not many people had played it back then, and now people still talk it up into something it isn't for its relative rarity alone. Where Sonic 2 and 3 are tight evolutions of Sonic 1, Sonic CD just feels like it took the first game, raped it in the ass, and then whacked itself straight onto the disc. For years I wondered what I had missed out on. Now I wish I had left this game unplayed. That way there's still be some mysterious appeal to it. Now I just pretend it didn't exist.

New trailer for Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII for the PSP. Who knows how indulgent or off the wall this game will end up being. One thing is for sure though- this is mighty impressive stuff visually for a PSP, 333mhz clock or not.

It was still pretty bad man... Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic 3 & Knuckles FTW.

Gamepark Holdings is planning on releasing an update to their homebrew handheld in the form of a GP2X F-200 this October. The features are as follows; This new system is white, has a touchscreen and stylus ala the DS, an apparently far improved d-pad and comes with Cave Story built in! Will it be any more desirable a handheld than its dismal current iteration? Time will tell. Source: Play-Asia.

Bioshock not coming to the Playstation 3!
BlackKnight replied to Alpha's topic in Gaming and Tech News [/gtech]
I would like to get a PS3 but right now there arent a whole lot of reasons for me to get one. Id just like my decision to be made easier either way- if the 360 became an obvious choice then Id be happy about it. Id still like the PS3 to pick up its game though. Either way I wouldn't be buying Bioshock on a console so this doesnt affect my decision much. -
Best Wireless GameCube Controllers?
BlackKnight replied to Alpha's topic in Wii & GameCube Emulators [/pc/wii+gc]
Not sure about rumble- I figure most wouldn't because it kills the battery time. The Wavebird is untouched in quality on all other fronts though. I doubt you would find one anywhere near as good, with rumbling or not. -

Metal Gear Solid 4 LGC07 Boss Trailer
BlackKnight replied to BlackKnight's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
I know. And they're still alive as well. CONSPIRACY THEORY! I get to see Raven in female form. The horror. Methinks you are mistaking him for The Sorrow. MGS3 villains had cool names, nothing more. None were as interesting or deep as the original MGS's Foxhound unit. -
Metal Gear Solid 4 LGC07 Boss Trailer
BlackKnight replied to BlackKnight's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
Also the fat dude on roller blades. Oh btw - a scan with the names; . Screaming Mantis, Raging Raven, Laughing Octopus, and Crying Wolf eh? Vaguely reminiscent... all that's missing is a Snake and an Ocelot . Since these cyborg creations were all originally human, would anyone like to entertain the idea along with me that these are mechanical reincarnations of our beloved fallen Foxhound members? They don't use weapons anymore, so their first names have been dropped. But think about it... the new titles kind of fit the personality of those old characters as well, if you wanted to look that deep into it. I reckon the fact that he said they're all female is an elaborate ruse . -
The new trailer for Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots for the PlayStation 3 was revealed a few hours ago in Germany and contains some of the game's new bosses! Admittedly no new 'Metal Gear' units per se were shown, these new cyborg freaks are interesting designs and just plain scary enough to make you wonder what legendary boss battles MGS4 has in store for us already. Just one thing though; yelling 'rage' while flying down the streets? A bit too much there, Hideo. You can also get the latest interview here. Source: Joystiq.

Pandora's Battery - PSP Unbricker
BlackKnight replied to Mooney's topic in Hacking and Homebrew News [/hax]
Oh. Hmm well that blows :S. What I want to know is what happens to the battery- when they say you can't use it normally anymore, what does that mean? How do you charge it? Isn't it still powering the PSP after you install 1.50 and boot up for the first time? -
PS2 Modchip Coming in Memory Card Form
BlackKnight replied to JKKDARK's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
You know this (or at least the VAST one) will allow you to boot from the HDD as well? For those of us using the Independence Exploit to use HDL atm, this will save us having to use a PSX disc and avoid even more lens wear. -

TV tuners, S-Video, VGA, and Laptops: how do i connect them?
BlackKnight replied to nsuka's topic in Nerd's Chatter [/nerds]
nsuka- to keep it simple: You can buy a TV tuner PCMCIA or whatever the new standard is called, as Reaper said, or get one built in. You can use the VGA port to connect to a HDTV, but probably not a normal TV. You can use the S-video port to connect to a Tv and watch TV, and use the VGA / DVI port to connect an LCD monitor for your apps and use both at the same time. I'm bad at comprehension- does this cover everything? -
I didn't have to give up any of my cards to take down the Ultima Weapon- one well placed Lion Heart limit was enough to do that. The holy wars were needed for Omega though so I just saved beforehand.

Too late. BlackKnight attacked Reaper man with a Pimp Slap (1 str) and took off 30! Reaper man has 0 HP left! Reaper man is now dead, therefore cannot counterattack!!!! You gain 1 frag(s) (0 stolen). Finally someone I can 1-hit KO with a pimp slap. Welcome Reaper!

Sorry I can't help- If you want to copy the saves themselves off your PS2 Memory Cards, run something on the PS2 like uLaunchELF or ExecFTPS (your machine will need to be modded or exploited). uLaunchELF is a filebrowser that will let you copy files to / from memory cards / usb mass devices / network locations. ExecFTPs just sets up the PS2 as an FTP server that you can connect to via FlashFXP or what have you. That is the easy part. The only problem is then getting them onto your PS3 in a usable format.
-
That isn't possible. You wouldn't want to be connecting the systems through USB cables though anyway- networking them would be better. In theory mind you. The problem is that while it would technically be possible, it isn't allowed by Sony simply because the want to make some $ from their own throwaway-adapter. As far as I know there aren't any homebrew methods available to copy over saves although I may be wrong.
