i'm still getting a problem adding the init for mslug or rotd, says: src/burn/neogeo/d_neogeo.cpp: In function `int mslug4Init()': src/burn/neogeo/d_neogeo.cpp:7121: `nPCM2Value' undeclared (first use this function) src/burn/neogeo/d_neogeo.cpp:7121: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once for each function it appears in.) make: *** [d_neogeo.o] Error 1

btw, iq_132 has found a way to get sound from encrypted sets of rotd and mslug4 so if it works well for me, expect the next version to include those encrypted rom drivers UPDATE: ok iq_132's sound fix works on fba for pc but when i try to add it to fba-xxx i get errors i posted a reply to gogo's forum and waiting to see if he woud look at it but for anyone else here willing to try to compile the fix heres the info: http://www.freepgs.com/iq_132/pages/games/neopcm2.htm Update 2: ok, it seems the problem is with the src (cannot open or find the following: fba.h, progress.h, musicmanager.cpp, and xlmenu.cpp) i have already compiled the original fba-x src with iq_132's sound fix so i just need fba-xxx to work with me minor note, i tried using the 5-10 release of fba-xxx with the fix and got bad gfx using any encrypted rom but when i tried using the original fba-x src compiled with the fix it works great with a minor gfx flaw in mslug4 warning screen.

nice job man gonna test it out later with fba-xxx
-
you need a special version of fba-x in order to play kof2003 and other 2002+ roms btw, i'm gonna work on the new src later today so expect the newsgroup post around the afternoon or so

i got an sb audigy and i get the crackling sound but its only with mk2-3's and wwf wrestlemania. last time i checked, mame still needs to work on the dcs sound system which was used in those arcades. not 100% on that but thats what i read not to long ago in some thread.
-
yup did some good fixes so expect another of my specials soon
-
chances are namco will do the tekken force thing again which isn't a bad idea but the controlling of them sucked
-
not sure what you heard but i watched the live vid and the man (reggie) said it will be out the end of this year worldwide ebgames and gamestop are taking pre-orders right now for $199 (rumored to be $149) and have an unofficial date of november 29th 2004 both stores did say if the price changes, you will get the changed price.
-
ds plays gba games (i assume older gbc/gb games as well but they didn't mention it) so yes it will replace gba
-
yes it sold damn well and got great reviews. i hope the next one does it even better. doa3 has no real say in fighting games cuz that game was nothing more then to show off the xbox and team ninja knows that. now vf4 is definite gold in my eye but what still bothers me right now is sega keep redoing the same game. vf4 evo i can understand but now theres a fine tuned edition, enough already and make vf5 i gotta say tekken 5 looks promising being totally redone and a new engine to boot. can't wait for the japanese version for ps2 to come out
-
lol emsley sammaz was offering it to me lastnight but quit irc as i just finished setting up the ftp
-
for the mk2-3's i do
-
well i don't care what they think cuz it up to me or you to really judge the game. mk3 i didn't really like at the arcades but it was fun for a while. i do agree that the consoles ports were poor but that was the best they can do for 16-bit consoles (i even remember that genesis and snes umk3's had missing characters just to fit the game) but ps1 did get a decent port of mk3 tho it sucked for shang sung tranformations but pretty damn good. best version of all console wise to me was umk3 for saturn. mk4 was blah and it had decent ports to consoles and then with dc's version even beating the arcade still didn't help the game itself. as for the other console only mk games, they sucked. right now my biggest hope is that midway treasures vol.2 (ps2/xbox) will have perfect ports of mk1-3. mame i love but hate the crackling sound.

thread is also poll so its fine

nice to see vampire chronicles also being ported since it was only on dc. but man, dmc series is something to see along with gt4 nintendo will always have zelda and i wouldn't doubt it would be great but i'm sure that square-enix has something planned

http://www.tekken-official.jp nice pics but no vid

ok, game gear was great but there was big problem dealing with battery life and that was one of the main reasons why it and nomad failed. psp on the other hand is better in specs and has nice battery life and like its big brother has more uses then just games unlike ds. i wouldn't doubt that there will be a nice portable console war but i see sony winning this one
-
minor note, psp is coming out the end of this year for japan and march 2005 for usa
-
