  1. The only other shows than Attack of the Show or X-Play that are worth watching are, Ninja Warrior, and Braniac.

The point of the show, is to have random people consume abundant amounts of food, and then the people are put through rigorous amusment rides and tests to see who pukes first. I didn't know that physical tortue to humans existed today in a reality televsion show form.

  5. People who shell out the same price should get the same product. And I hate anyone who comes to a gaming board with that 'it's all about the gameplay' attitude. Graphics matter, else how the hell do you justify the price of consoles, let alone that 1Gb GX2 that is always sold out when I turn up at MSY? The PS3 and the 360 don't have much differences in multi-platform games when it comes to graphics, even if either one of the systems has better graphics with Final Fantasy XIII than the other, it isn't a major issue. The graphical gap between the PS3 and the 360 isn't as large as the PSX and the PS2, they're basically on the same path when it comes the graphics and the small graphical difference isn't worth debating over.

The game was developed by Quintlet and was published by Enix. The plot is about the restoration of the world, by a boy named Ark, while he ventures from pre-historic times, to the present, and future. Throughout the game you will be restoring vacant wastelands, back into their original counterparts consisting of modern earth like biomes and ecosystems. The game is a real time action RPG, you can freely roam around dungeons, and fight off various monsters of your selection. Ark, the main protagonist of that game, wields some type of staff that is seen to be composed of magical power. The staff acts as a staff and not much else, you have your running attack, basic strike, running jump attack, and rapid poke attack, where he rapidly pokes the staff in a sporadic motion. The running jump attack takes the most damage out of all the attacks I listed above. There are only a certain number of staffs that you can hold. In the weapon menu, there are little boxes that mark a soon to be obtained staff's postilion, you cannot hold as many staffs as you want. It's predicted that all of the staffs in the game will indeed fill all of the empty boxes seen in the start of the game. When switching weapons, the weapon actually changes when you attack in game, the visual change is present, instead of the basic attribute and statistical change. The armor is the same way, but the body armor of the character does not change, like the weapons do. With only one character being played with the entire game, you feel as if you've actually done something, and the fact that one troublesome young boy can withstand an arduous journey, filled with enigmatic monsters and vicious creatures, is quite badass. Although sometimes people follow you through dungeons, you do all of the fighting. The main dungeons in this game are decently sized, it's not difficult to get lost. There is an unsurprising amount of backtracking in dungeons, because this is necessary to complete puzzles. There are more puzzles in this game than you can count on your hands and feet. The puzzles can sometimes be hard to solve, and they will have you trying to figure out how the developers were thinking while making the puzzles, and creating the solutions to them. Some are really misleading, and reading plays a large role in this game, just like any other RPG. You would be hurt, if you happened to miss any text rolling across the screen. Every word requires attention being paid to. No puzzles in this game are dead giveaways. Sometimes in dungeons, visual puzzles are present, and the background is all too consistent to find any type of indication on a wall or anything. Most puzzles will have you visiting the internet for some assistance. When leveling up, your health increases the most out of all your other basic stats. You can obtain magic, and they can be used and are stored in a Magic Box. The game tells you when using a magic spell is pointless. There are various items that replenish health, and other key items. Key items are strongly important in this game, some missions will not let you pass without them. Grinding does the trick here though, some rooms in dungeons provide many enemies to defeat, killing them over and over guarantees massive EXP. Bosses become a joke because of this. As far as the navigation goes, there is a massive map, and it is the earth's map. Some continents are actually named after the earth's continents, and of course the contents of the continents are not identical to earth's at all. Sailing on a boat, is a great way to find this out. You cannot fight on the world map, only in dungeons. Each town is composed of many people who have something to say, and about two or three side quests waiting to be unveiled and completed. Ark, the main character, is not a silent protagonist thankfully, and has some emotional plot twists with women. A portion of the main storyline involves saving women and what have you. There are countless amounts of towns and areas in this game. Some areas are barren wastelands, and at most times contain rare items. They are all scattered across the world, random areas that only consist of items, no enemies, no people present. Swimming is here, as well as flying, and boating. Each continent has a harbor where you can dock your ship, and the plane you use can be landed on a long strip of road. The world is undoubtedly massive, the entire earth's map is at your disposal. The monsters are obscure and awkward, these include mutant flowers that spit poison, zombies, zombie fish, bats, wolves, mutant trees, etc. But after massive grinding, nothing will be able to touch you mostly. Only things like poison, make a large threat. The dialog, from the people, is varied. Different towns have different types of vocabulary standards. Ark doesn't talk unless the conversations is involved with the main storyline. For a 16-bit console, the music is rather larger-than-life. The goldy audio from this game is baffling. They consist of wondrous corridors, the large dungeons spew off music that just puts you into a adventurous, curious, and wondrous mood. The music remarkably matches the concept of a person sitting in a room alone with the lights off, and the television screen glaring into you his/her eyes. You will find yourself pausing the game, or standing in idleness, just to listen to the most epic and profound composition made by a Japanese composer. Nothing else can be said about the music, there aren't many sound effects to note, but they don't cause problems. The look of the game is nothing short of Chrono Trigger. I recommend you download this game, this is a game that I heard about on the internet. Gameplay - 7 Graphics - 9 Sound - 10 Story - 8 Overall - 8.5
  8. After watching some of the E3 highlights on G4TV, I noticed that the gameplay becomes repetitive. The fighting system reminds me of the one from Armageddon where the air combat looked stupid. They have this, along with pointless and gameplay disturbing sequences that take the joy out of a regular fight. I think that the stage destruction has been taken a bit too far, it seems that you can knock a person down a cliff or to another area more than 5 times in one single fight, and the mid air combat seems dull and uninspired. The combos look more awkward than fluid, and they aren't anything like the combo system we had in MK 3 persay. This game will most likely suck, along with the previous installments. What they should have done, was make some sort of a sequel to Shaolin Monks, which actually was a worthy installment into the MK series, and make the storyline focus on the MK 3 video game. They could had also made an entire new upgrade to MK Trilogy, add more of the characters from MK II and 1, upgrade the graphics to look even better than the Arcade port of UMK3, add a nice leader and score board, and put it on XBLA, and PSN. That would be nicer than this game, I couldn't imagine paying $10 for this game, let alone $60.
  9. I was playing Crisis Core: Final Fantasy for the PSP, but the playthrough became discontinued because I died and had to start all over from the beginning. Terranigma, and as well as Lufia 2 has also been discontinued, for them being dull and having repetitive puzzles one after another.

  12. It doesn't really matter though, it isn't like the game is now an Xbox 360 exclusive.
  13. The joy of the game mostly arises from having many zombies on screen and doing some major ass kicking in various ways, if they lower the zombie count to make up for the Wii's poo poo hardware, then some of the joy will be lost from the original port.
  14. I rented Crisis Core from Blockbusters the day before. I've been on the game like white on rice for the past 2 days. The PSP battery has been draining frequently due to my long standing hours of gameplay. The horror of being killed once is in existence because I do not have a Memory Stick, so the only way I can play and continue on with the story, is if I put the PSP on sleep mode, and come back and resume from wherever I left off. I've gotten to the part where Genesis and Angeal have gained their wings, and I had to fight an enormous Summon monster on top of a flaming building. I almost died in that match. If I would have died I would have had to start the game from the beginning, that would be horrible. It already happened once but luckily I wasn't very far in the game at the time. The graphics in this game baffle me, they are literally PS2 graphics on a smaller scale. I'm surprised at the quality of the FMV movies, and the dialog can sometimes be found humorous. Zack Fair overall reminds me of Tidus, him and Tidus share many similarities, with the major one being their personalities. Being socially outgoing, and having no trouble with the women. The fighting system is fine, but I don't like the randomized leveling system much. Not that I really need to level frequently, it's just that I would like to have control over it. It happens every once and awhile, and the time frame between each level is coincidentally sufficient. The Limit Breaks help big time, but sometimes I get LVL 5 Limit Breaks with only one monster left to kill. This can be useless at times. Other than that, I value the Materia system overall, and the interface and menus are well organized. The shopping is quick and assessable, but the dungeon crawling can get somewhat repetitive. Not too repetitive though, the entertaining cut scenes make up for it, I enjoy the acting and dialog. But yeah, it's a fine game, I would rather play it on the PS2 though. But then again, taking the PSP anywhere I go comes in handy. Well, those are my thoughts basically.
  15. What do you mean? That basically, and with hundreds of zombies on screen at one time, there's no question that the Wii has a large possibility of consistent lag.

  17. any differences between the xbox arcade port and the one available on MAME? I don't think so, and the Xbox isn't capable of running the Arcade port of MK3 smoothly on the MAME emulator. But on the PC, it's no different.
  18. I downloaded the Mortal Kombat Arcade Pack for the Xbox, and man, the Arcade original of MK3 is so enjoying. I'm getting better and better, I'm learning many different combos, I've mastered Sub-Zero's combo, Sheeva's and Kung Lao's as well. I've been playing on the highest difficulty level, and with infinite lives, I can attempt to defeat an enemy as many times as my heart desires. I learned many of the AI bugs that I can exploit and abuse to use to my advantage. The graphics are great, the characters are well detailed, the sound is miraculous without a doubt, and the ending credits are so much different from console ports, it gave me that gratification of me actually being the Mortal Kombat champion. I've been playing this game for hours, and the character animations are so vivid, I love playing the Arcade port on my Xbox.
