you know I would but there's lots of things stopping me right now. long story short: no decent computer, no time, college coming soon, no original Generals copy etc. but if you can wait till august or september or so then yeah sure bring it. and the tech building thing is silly but we just did it for fun, they're not really buildable or anything and it's a shame to destroy them and constantly recapturing one was a pain in the ass so we just used a "first come first serve" rule

you got a point there. I mean, interesting topics should be discussed as far as they can go. people will sometimes stop responding because they have nothing to say on a topic but then other people respond and they wouldn't start responding again because of indifference and that's how a good topic gets lost. reviving any topic, as long as it's a good one is ok in my book, regardless of it's age. it's better than making a new topic about it anyway

the thing is the lack of defences makes it almost impossible to turtle, and no superweapons with defences allows exactly what you do, turtle your base up and makes it almost impeneratble, so the best way to balance it, is no superweapons and no defences. btw, there's a very simple way to defeat your strategy, in fact your strategy only works if you're playing against an idiot or something.... all i need to do, is build more units (than you) while you're building defences.... then all i really hafta do is make enough of my units reach your power, drop it, and you're finished (usually before you get the chance to build aurora bombers, and even if you do considering the airport is easily destroyed) Gla, Airforce, or china tank would OBLITERATE your strategy. and that's assuming you're playing 50,000 now if you're playing 10,000 get ready to get RAPED. as all i would need to do, is send a few rocket men and a few quads (or tanks, or whatever combination really) get them to your power and/or supply dock, and bye bye you. I'm not really a generals pro but when people have tried that it never worked against a laser general. the defense was simply too strong. and I always have more than enough power plants just in case people try that (usually 7 power plants more than I need). we never played 10k or 50k, we were like 20k or 25k (forgot) and we wouldn't attack tech buildings like oil rigs if they were captured by the enemy. and I start building aurora bombers late game actually, just so I can get enough time to build up my base and some helicopters to take care of your annoying infantry

That's the only damn reason i want to play WoW, but i can't afford the subscription crap.. 15 bucks a month is kinda stupid to me. anywho, any C&C game you can hold back a rusher if you're experienced enough.... you gotta be creative with the rushes.... for example, me and my friends, we play c&C generals: zero hour with the following rules: no super weapons No defences random armies. so one game, i get airforce gen, and everyone is building up quads to defend against my commanche rush, so i prepare my commanche rush, and at the same time build some humvees and attack with both as well as a few stealth fighters and raptors.... they were prepared for an airal invasion, not a ground one, so they got pounded, since my humvees helped destroy their quads. WoW is not such a great lore source in my opinion. Sure it adds bits and pieces there but it doesn't add to the universe all that much especially since, all these new events that are happening (patches and stuff) don't really impact the world too much. you beat a boss, but it's not going to change crap. boss will still be there for someone else. and the heavily lore-infused quests are for top raiding guilds too which is a minus... take it from me, I've been playing for 3 years almost.... I'd agree with no super weapons but the no defense part seems kinda crap. I mean, defense is crucial in generals... hell I know it's alot of fun when I see people trying to get into a base that I build to be impenetrable and they can't, all the while I build up my forces and attack when they least expect it hehe... hell, if you play laser general all you do is build laser defenses and aurora bombers.... when you have some awesome defense and about 12 bombers, pop the map reveal power, send bombers to bomb each and every builder, main HQ and vehicle factory and you have an instant-win... kinda overpowered if you think about it... @K'dash: yeah whatever but all I have to do is pop up some snipers or buzzers and your suicide dudes go bye bye... you still need to build warmechs, tripods and planetary assault carriers to win. infantry will never do jack crap... the only real bad infantry are the zone troopers, shock troopers and fanatics which can be countered as well...

well it will be reactivated. just not as fast as we'd like, but in the mean time go emulate something (you own ofc).

Well actually the game is based on DirectX9 The development team stated that they're considering adding in DirectX10 support as well, but nothing concrete as of yet.

I was wondering the same thing on Rocky Balboa! Hey you gotta hand it to him, he's still kickin' and hasn't gone in retirement just because he's turned a few gray hairs here and there. I mean, look at Sean Connery, can that man act or what?! Most men his age would be all around the world traveling before their final bell tolls. Not this guy, he kept us entertained for a log longer. If Silvester wants to do that, kudos to him.

Neo-Geo Battle Coliseum being a very good example of that. Hell yes, I sooo agree! Bringing back World Heroes fighters was one of the most awesome moves they could have done. I expect more from SNK tho and in NGBC 2 I want the entire cast of Aggressors of Dark Kombat remade (hell they've already done Fuuma, Kisarah, and a small sprite of Joe Kusanagi) as well as the entire cast from Samurai Master's (hell, they're 10 characters in total )

great thread imo. although you guys have to agree that the majority of us would opt for a SNK title as their favorite game on the Neo Geo because let's face it, they and ADK ruled the system hehe. I'm a SNK fanboy at heart so I can't really say which are my favorites but among KoFs for the Neo Geo, 98, 2k and 2k2 in that order. Last Blade 2 and Garou are golden. SvC is also silvery-golden and treats the Capcom characters really well. Samurai Spirits Zero Special is also my favorite ever Samurai Spirits, too bad it doesn't have all of the characters but oh well.... My favorite ADK game would be Ninja Master's. I'm so damn glad SNK owns their copyrights now and we're going to start seeing characters remade from them hehe!
