Why NO IDEAS board in the ds emulation
Sybarite Paladin AxL replied to cky2k's topic in Suggestions Box [/feedback]
And this is when my role comes in where I kick him in the nuts and make him drown himself in a puddle of his own mucus? Just wondering... I like to screw around too. I just try not to act like an idiot when I do it. -
Michael Jackson is Coming back
Sybarite Paladin AxL replied to GodPigeon's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
hey The Warp created Chaos Space Marines. I'm pretty sure he's gonna do some 360 degrees style change or whatever and get something good going. I couldn't care less about all those accusations because I take a neutral standpoint. Good music requires compromises and people who make good music require respect and admiration. So there... -Chammon! -
Teh inkman iz bakc!!! BoW DoWn!!!! Respect dude Nice havin you 'round again. Yes please, more randomguy, less talk.

The three next-gen consoles.
Sybarite Paladin AxL replied to Lucandrake's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
Local games magazine. apparently Gears of War was always planned to arrive on the PC but there were some "technological differences" and Mark Rein stated that it would take at least a year for the conversion to arrive. Apparently they must have somehow overcome those differences. edit: checkie http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/618/618712p1.html -
Damn, should post more, didn't even notice we were down. Welcome back up.

3.30 update is out
Sybarite Paladin AxL replied to Sultan's topic in Hacking and Homebrew News [/hax]
doubt there's a risk in upgrading to 3.30. unless you're not careful like mooney was. -
God bless Apple. My 80GB iPod has seriously been keeping me sane throughout this transitory period in my life. And mine's quite bulky anyway. I compared it to a 60GB version and they were nigh identical. So it could probably take a bullet for me, but I'd rather get shot then ruin a great tool.

The three next-gen consoles.
Sybarite Paladin AxL replied to Lucandrake's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
Meh I only want a Wii now. It's awesome and it gives exactly what I need: SOME GOOD GAMES WITH GOOD GAMEPLAY.... XBOX 360 - can go die in a corner now that Gears of War is coming to the PC, it's just like XBOX, all filler now... Even the good XBOX games get released on PC and stuff, like Fable and Jade Empire and I think it's gonna suffer the same fate. I'm not paying for some online service the PS3 offers for free. I predict that not one good game will be XBOX-only by the end of it's run. And I flocking hate Micro$oft for forcing us to upgrade to their crappy, DRM-ridden Vista just because they won't give WinXP DirectX 10 for games like the Halo 2 port. Your operating system is for communists, go die now.... PS3 - On the other hand Sony can go die as well... You crap on your fans, they take a diarrhea on you back. That's what you get for being complete assholes. Lower the price, stick back the emotion engine chip into the european consoles you pieces of crap so I can enjoy my good old PS2 games and lower the goddamn price. No one wants your bullshit right now. F-ucking seriously. Stop shooting yourselves in the goddamn foot like you did with the PSP... If Sony doesn't get their crap soon they'll be out of the console war for good. On the other hand even though it's had a desastrous start, I do believe it will eventually surpass the 360 with alot better games. I'm with Dragonkeeper on this one, my PC, PS2, PSP and NDS is all I freakin need right now. WITH WINDOWS XP, as in NOT VISTA. -
Another mildly amusing time-burner game. Same in concept with the WarCraft 3 Tower Defense-type maps. Freeze Tower + Siege Tower = instant win. No fun at all...

corrections in your romaji kemochi kimochii - also means feeling, but when used as an exclamation it means you're feeling good Combawa - Konban wa Inmo kanuo = ninbu kanjou (correct me on kanjou magnis) konnichi wa arigatou offcarse = of course donig = doing I have no knowledge of kanji, hira or kata but since I'm very receptive to languages and expresions and stuff and I can understand basic context thanks to anime. k`dash = retard. I wanted to learn Jap from the second I set fingers on King of Fighters, at that time for the sole reason of understanding what they said. of course, it expanded over time @Agozer: you "read" hentai manga?

What age will you grow out of gaming?
Sybarite Paladin AxL replied to Alpha's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
As long as I can create a good environment for myself without a good income I'll always keep playing games. I plan to collect everything I can, and play as much as I can. It's up to life to show me how much of that goal I can achieve. As long as the soul is willing to have fun, I will. -
who else here owns 2 next gen systems.
Sybarite Paladin AxL replied to solidius23's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
I'm gonna get a Wii cuz it's cheap and a PS3 when it's gonna get a price cut, which it will. PS3 = XBOX360 with better games and better gfx. XBOX360 = crap. -
BitComet 0.84 released
Sybarite Paladin AxL replied to Robert's topic in Gaming and Tech News [/gtech]
Although the official BitComet website has claimed and currently claims that BitComet is, "Clean and free, without any adware or spyware," [1] the current stable release (version 0.70) through version 0.62, all originally showed a single advertisement when using the video preview functionality. Although the advertisement is removable and is now automatically removed within a period of about 24 to 48 hours, BitComet was at the time still considered adware since the ad was automatically displayed without the consent of the user. When the client is downloaded from the archives, of the official website, the ad will still appear, until the client connects to the BitComet servers and the ad is removed. The reason the ad is no longer present in versions past 0.70 is because BitComet recieved a major rewrite. This included the replacement of the bundled video previewer created by leechvideo.com, with BitComet's own previewer, which does not currently contain ads. quoted from Wikipedia. I use uTorrent too. Say no to bloatware. -
Why you shouldn't touch Vista
Sybarite Paladin AxL replied to Robert's topic in Nerd's Chatter [/nerds]
Personally I wouldn't upgrade to Vista from a gaming point of view. And I'm not that radical to simply ditch it and switch to consoles only. I'm pretty sure things will quiet down, supers-trimmed versions of Vista will start surfacing with all its advantages and none of its drawbacks, a DX10 version for XP will surface and we'll all be laughing at Micro$oft's incompetence. -
I own both WoW and GW. WoW is highly addictive and supports a vibrant world. The same could be said about Guild Wars BUT there is a huge drawback to the no-monthly fee thingy. First off, Guilds Wars is only half-MMORPG as I'd like to point out. It is more of a regular RPG induced with online steroids. Let me explain: the "lore/story/rpg" part of the game is quite frankly singleplayer for the most part. When you enter a specific zone other then cities, that zone has been loaded for you and you only. You CANNOT meet other players at all when in that specific zone. The only way to do this is to head to cities and form a party. While in a party a zone will be loaded for the all the players currently in the party instead of just yourself. As you can expect this severely cuts the "populated world" feeling. The very big advantage to this though is that you are not playing on a specific server when playing Guild Wars. A city is divided into "online districts" and you are placed in the closest district available to you bandwidth wise. What's the advantage in that you ask? The answer is: The International District. When entering this district you can meet anyone playing Guild Wars from any part of the world. ANY! This means I could play with Drakey no problemo even though I live in Europe. Other then that Guild Wars has a superb storyline without having the advantage of a previously well-established world like WoW has. The music is very good and is composed by award winner Jeremy Soule. I am pretty much a GW noob as WoW takes up most of my time and when I do have some spare time I devote it to my PSP, and will probably split it with my future black NDS lite. Regarding WoW I can say it's well worth it as I've played it since launch. However there is great misbalance among the classes in this game and if you're planning on having fun I would advise against playing as a Paladin, I myself having leveled 2 to level 60 (the previous maximum before the addon hit). The reason is there is simply no fun to be had with a plate-wearing 2handed hammer wielding PRIEST. The 2 most overpowered classes currently are Warlocks, capable of turning each and every other class to dust with ease, and the Shamans, which contrary to the popular belief that Shamans are healers and offensive magic casters, will actually come swinging 2 axes at you wearing the second best armor class in the game, tearing you apart in less then 5 seconds. Warriors are treaded like crap and the game has been given the monicker by fans "World of Castercraft" due to the obvious superiority of magical classes. The game is also balanced around getting the best items you can, instead of learning your class and bettering yourself with what you have. A complete noobcake wearing epic equipment will tear the best of players down in under seconds. You can blame all this on Tom Chilton a.k.a. Kalgan, the lead game designer. He's also the one who screwed the Ultima Online expansion. However World of Warcraft is the best MMORPG currently available according to its huge community base and biggest sales of all time. While it does not have 300 skills per class like Guild Wars has (which I find overwhelming however it does tip the scales more towards skill then equipment) each class is relatively enjoyable, some more then others as I have said. However I do have the urge to buy the 2 Guild Wars addons but I cannot find the time to play them currently as I have a very full year. Regarding regular RPGs the recent Oblivion seems like a great choice as well as Gothic 3 despite rumors that it wasn't as good as its prequels. Also the upcoming Drakensang looks highly promising. Quick edit: I recently bought both Fallout and Fallout 2 for the price of 5$. BARGAIN! Fallout 3 currently has no future as it's not being produced by anyone and I forgot where the license lost itself. Another good action RPG which was on XBOX will be released for the PC with improvements, namely Jade Empire. Can't wait.

For some reason I keep coming back to this thread. It's bugging me. I would really really like to know more about Vampiria so please keep us updated Olaf with every little detail. I can't wait! (my secret wish is for Vampiria to run on PSPs too, hahaha, but we know that's never gonna happen) Does he plan to make it available for download after it's finished? -

Why you shouldn't touch Vista
Sybarite Paladin AxL replied to Robert's topic in Nerd's Chatter [/nerds]
Say hello to digital communism It was to be expected and they blame it on piracy but of course we all know that the real reason is: to maximize revenues by minimizing your rights so that they can sell them back to you. Same thing would go for DRM. They'll design software to enhance your video quality so they can sell it to you and so on. Personally if worse comes to pass I'll have to switch to Linux. Also it is best to not update your Windows XP in the near future, and if you absolutely must, scan them for potential Vista "features". As Gamecop so elloquently put it, the only person who will be controlling my PC will be me. -
