  1. This is a response from x3sphere on exophase.com where I posted your problem. "The only way he can fix it is by getting the modchip installed (UP or the upcoming PSP-Devolution). Proceeding with the installation when the SHA-1 value of the DXAR was different was a very bad idea, and a guaranteed brick. Most likely he had a fake ms if he was getting a non valid DXAR every time."
  2. I've been searching around and haven't found anything conclusive on GBA emulation, any ideas? I'm running OE B, and soon OE C.
  3. Yep, it worked for my second PSP which is a TA-082 and came with a 2.71 FW.
  4. hey dragonkeeper, could I please also have a data.dxar file from you? my first PSP has problems with making one and I'd sure as hell wouldn't like to have a bricked PSP. you can find my MSN or whatever mediums you like on my profile
  5. well of course hip hop is not canocally dead in its full sense. it would mean no one actually listens to it or creates it any more at all. which is really not bound to happen in the near future. I'm simply stating that for someone who hates MTV like myself, there's no other way of hearing or your average every day hip hop artists, unless they're really really good. and considering MTV shows all the crap and good stuff mixed together, it's hard to tell which is good or not. and 80% is crap I'm trying to start a fight here. no, rock music is not about sad people. you just stereotyped right there. it gets worse because you stereotyped a cathegory. rock music is about a hightened state of mind, bettering your soul as you go on with the harmony of various instruments into melodical bliss. (no, I'm not emo) You tackled rock music when you said all rockers hate it period... for one thing... where as hip hop is a genre in its entirety, you can't stereotype rock music simply because comparing hip hop to rock is like saying this ant is as big as this ant farm. rock music is a not a genre but a very big collection of genres and subgenres and spinoffs. simple as that. even if you were to say rock music is about satanism, it wouldn't say anything other that you lack basic musical culture and you use stereotypes. I never fully stereotyped hip hop and never will, and I don't hate it as I listen to it from time to time. and because someone came from the bottom and now is rich doesn't necesarilly mean he's suddenly become popular, loved by all and the biggest baddest one around that everyone should inherently respect, just because he managed to get out of poverty? you don't see people signing about how they got out of poverty by learning, staying in school, leading and honest, productive life. nope. I promise to stop this when I see a hip hop artist signing about his problems as a lawyer. instead all you see is former convicts, drug-dealers and pimps and so on, most of which just use that image to make money. simply put, there's no message, no feeling. period. I'm not saying anything about Papoose because I haven't heard of him really. but here in Europe there's less following and feedback. there is however a growing community of rather sad people who think that the only values in life are the ones they see on MTV. no, you are not worth as much as you own. you are worth as much as you know. The Parasites, a group of rappers in my country have a message. Like anti-censorship, bashing government corruption, and anti-flock of sheep effect. here's a link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parazitii
  6. I'd just like to shamelesly bump this thread with a "thank you" for Mooney who helped me downgrade my second, dreaded TA-082 PSP.
  7. quoted from exophase.com New Castlevania for PSP Revealed! Posted by x3sphere on 02-02-2007 at 04:51 AM A few days ago we reported some rumors that a Dracula X remake would be coming to the PSP. Well, turns out its true - on Symphony of the Night's 10th anniversary will mark the release of Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles, a full-fledged remake of Rondo in 3D (but with 2D gameplay). Castlevania fans are probably already feeling ecstatic with this bit of news, but the goodness doesn't stop there. Chronicles will also include the original Rondo of Blood that was never released in the US before on the Turbo-Duo, AND the original PlayStation classic -- Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. Well I don't think Castlevania fans could really ask for much more Chronicles will hit the US Fall 2007, giving Konami plenty of time to polish this grand collection. unquote This and this alone would have made me buy a PSP, if I didn't own 2 already. And the Final Fantasies of course Then there's the fact that I'm playing PSX heaven on my PSP and Neo Geo emulation . I love it!
  8. It doesn't have anything to do with downgrading L.S.D. Mooney's been a godsend when it came to downgrading my 2 PSPs and they're both running on Dark_Alex's custom 3.03 OE B Firmware just fine. I'm glad I didn't upgrade to OE C just yet tho. I hope you can fix your PSP Mooney.
  9. thug-a-cation teach you to write like that? seriously. and before you start tackling rock music with hear-say and stereotypes know that today's rap and hip hop is a joke. and I'm talking about the crap routine "guns, money, girls". Seriously, who gives a crap about some black guy who's living the high-life on people's money who are dumb enough to buy the same thing over and over again? The real hip hop died with 2pac, end of story. That's what it was all about. Black people's problems and stuff. Satanism and rock music? don't make me laugh, before hip hop and rap even existed as a concept, old school rock music was the music young minds would listen to. satanism-themed music is just a sub-genre of a sub-genre of rock music that was ripe and ready to somehow become the "stereotype" image for haters to come and attach it to... being able to learn and play an instrument > being able to have your voice recorded and fine-tuned in a studio. on a sidenote, great desktop picture, drake...
  10. actually it was the other way around. 2D characters on 3D backgrounds. but don't diss 2D back, in those days it had alot more personality than alot of high-powered games you see today.
  11. You actually looked at her face? Yeah her ass is wow
  12. I don't really care about 360. I think it's bullshit with nothing of value on it, just like it's predecessor. I hope it dies... as for Wii, there's going to be tons of RPG sequels that are going to make it awesome, the super backwards compatibility is way cool and combine it with an accessible price and you've got yourself a very strong competitor for console of the year. PS3 on the other hand I don't really have any idea. That controller looks horrible to be honest. But the reason I'm getting it is because I'm such a Final Fantasy fanboy and I couldn't bare to stay away from Final Fantasy 13/14/etc. and alot of other awesome games series. OFC I'd always search for a way to play "backups" on it.
  13. Or you could do like me, upgrade to 2.71 then downgrade back to 1.50 then use the latest devhook to emulate the firmwares for your game. It offers the best compatibility and also the risk of bricking is 0 if you do everything right. I wouldn't rush into it tho. Also make sure your PSP is not of TA-082 hardware. If it is, you cannot downgrade, sorry. You can check if it is by reading what it says on the right side of the inside of your UMD drive. edit: here's a picture http://www.modchipstore.com/support/images/ta82spot.jpg
  14. Hellz ya mofos! I been pimpin now. Happy birthday to Ranma-fan and bendermike. I'm an adult now, party was great last night . Booz and girls all around. Real tonguefest and some of the other stuff too All you girls best be watchin out, cuz I'm gonna catch ya and do the nasteh
  15. How can you rip a game from a system it doesn't work on? I don't get it.
  16. what do you mean PCB dumps? games ripped from the cabinet board?
  17. Both. Wii is the king of good rumors, and PS3 for Final Fantasy. I won't buy either at launch, so I can avoid the type of problems that might come with the first versions (see joke console xbox 360). While I lack the money to buy either currently, or the NDS Lite for that matter, I just want them both really bad. I certainly look forward to stuff like backwards compatibility on both consoles, or methods of playing "backups" and emulators.
  18. Ok so what you're telling me is that all the MVS games out there have an AES mode encrypted in them? And technically I could change the bios of the machine and play AES mode on a cabinet?
  19. The difference is there is NO snes one . Final Fantasy III was only for NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) and was never remade or ported to any other system. And now it has been reworked for the Nintendo DS. This is not some updated version with new gfx tho, Final Fantasy 3 DS has alot of new stuff, greatly differing from the original . However the Final Fantasy 3 that was released in the US is actually Final Fantasy 6 in Japan.
  20. speakin of mem sticks, which is the biggest one currently available?
  21. Well I just played it a bit, and the controls aren't hard at all. They're remarkably easy if you know Disgaea anyway. you're right about the game tutorials, but there's always trial and error. I think I'll play it alot these next weeks.
  22. But what I really mean is, since MVS romsets contain AES mode that means they're not perfect MVS dumps, right? I read somewhere a long time ago that MVS romsets should not contain AES mode.
  23. Are Neo Geo MVS roms supposed to contain the AES version too?
