Mods are added by manually altering the PHP code in the respective files needed for the mod. It really depends on the mod and it's author though. Some of the better mods have "installers" that will do some or most of the work for you. For the most part though, you at least require minor editing to be done by hand. IPB isn't like PHPNuke for instance, PHPNuke is just a backend that requires modules to be anything. IPB is message board software, all the extras are just that...extras. I'd be willing to bet the IPB team is working towards something more like PHPNuke though.

Codec packs are teh ghey......I have yet to encounter one that does proper checks for already installed codecs and leaves em alone instead of overwriting them with older ones in most cases! I had one pack screw over my MP3 and DivX codecs as well as f**k my Directshow up so badly I couldn't get it working again. You're damn lazy if you can't install standalone codecs for what you need. I repeat, codec packs are TEH GHEY!

Don't you mean "Phantomware"? Hehehe!

I don't know what the above replies were in regards to, but thats ONE archive.......open only the first file and extract. I didn't read the first page of this thread though, so maybe I'm missing something. Nevermind, I read it. BOTH of you simply need to open Winrar and navigate to te first file and extract, or do "Open With" on it and select winrar. Theres NO "combining", it's just a multipart archive. Extract ONLY the first one. Renaming is a waste of time btw, you can work with them the way they are.

Use a beta version of what is already full of holes? ARE YOU NUTS!?

Oh I know it is. I don't speak Quebecois french either, which I think is terrible French in general. Thats VERY poor Parisian French.
-
Loosely translated, their French is HORRIBLE! I would be ashamed to speak the language so poorly.

Having some minor problems (NOOB)

Probably a lack of an updated Direct X......Pete's D3D plugin requires at least DX8 I believe. -
making a remote control out of an nes pad

Neat, but not something I'd really find useful. I don't own any piece of electronics that would only be of use with that little # of buttons.......MAYBE my TV, but I only ever use my TV remote for turning on the TV, nothing else. My multi remote is lost somewhere in the house atm, or I wouldn't even have my TV remote out. -
Ok I haven't tried the OGL2 plugin, I'll give it a shot as well. Image So the above screen displays properly for you? Edit: Same results with OGL2 plugin........grrrr
-
Sure is, could you maybe tell me your system specs and video plugin+config? I think it's 'tarded that not a single bios displays correctly for me.
-
I never said it didn't work, but the Playstation logo screen doesn't display properly. Maybe I need to update my graphics plugin......I don't think I have the latest of Pete's plugin(s) Edit: Nope, still doesn't work properly with either of Pete's latest plugins. OpenGL or D3D. Also tried with Pete's software plugin and Next3D 1.05..........no dice.
-
Ah cool. Too bad none of them display correctly though. Here's what I get in ePSXe when using -slowboot (Keep in mind ALL of these bios' function fine otherwise) SCPH1000 - freezes at SCE startup logo SCPH1001 - SCPH5000 - ePSXe crashes SCPH101 - SCPH7502 - Besides SCPH5000, they all display the SCE diamond logo animation just fine.

If 300% of a real Playstation is what you're looking for, then I guess so. No more stuttering FMV though, but also no sound. lol
-
Yes it does work, and quite well for a standalone emulator (No plugins) I tried it with Crono Trigger, the only game I had laying around in Bin/Cue format. I especially liked the fact it boots through the bios like a REAL Playstation does, something ePSXe doesn't.....it skips the bios, I really hate that about ePSXe. It stutters pretty badly during FMV sequences though.

That was highly uncalled for Cominus.......but yeah right, like more than 30% of the female population in Texas has any teeth let alone the body for a bikini.
-
I wouldn't waste your time with it unless you don't have a BBA and wish to make backups of your own originals. Right now there is no bios for it besides the regular Viper bios. None of the Extreme features (ONE...the USB backup roofles) is available, it's just like owning a regular Viper. A Qoob Pro is cheaper than the Extreme, and the Extreme is a copycat of the Qoob Pro but with USB backup (Again, not yet functional because theres no Extreme bios). The Qoob SX is similar to the regular Viper......but again, cheaper. I reccommend either Qoob chip based on your needs. If you really only care for booting backups and NOTHING else, get yourself a XenoGC.
-
XenoGC is a different type of mod that fits to the DVD drive PCB. And there are 2 models of the Qoob, the SX and the Pro. http://www.qoobchip.com Theres also the Ripper GC chip, stay away from it as well as Ninjamod.......both are cheapmods that suck ass. Screw Resident Evil 1 remake, at least for starters. If you want a Resident Evil game in the style of old, get RE Zero. New story to go through. Don't forget Metroid Prime 1/2 if you're into them.

If you want to get technical, the Virtual Boy used scaleable vector graphics. The drawing method provides stereoscopic effect capabilities, further enhancing the 3D effects. To be classified as a 3D system, it must be capable of rendering polygons in hardware. Something the Virtual Boy is not capable of.

No, I mean Nintendo of Europe was obviously kept out of the loop here. If they knew but were told not to say, they would have declined to comment.....not outright refuted the idea. PAL gamers are almost always the last to get anything.......including news. lol
-
NOE "confirmed" theres no redesign. Just goes to show you how much anyone gives a damn about the European gamers out there.........nobody (Fux PAL lol)

I didn't even need to read it........though maybe I should have cause my question may be wrong. Does a 50% tax on games mean a $400 Xbox 360 would be $600 after tax? Or is this tax on software only. If so, thats RETARDED! FYI I didn't read it all for 2 reasons. #1 "50% tax on games" says enough on it's own #2 I'm not from Texas let alone the US, so why would I really care? lol
-
Not surprising, they're milking the sh!t out of EVERYTHING they can. Mega Man Anniversary Collection, Mega Man X Collection......all these Street Fighter and other stuff. It's not a bad thing though if you really want it. I think the Mega Man collections are ok, the X collection I was kinda disappointed in though. They put far more effort into the Anniverary Collection.

What is her other half then? "Canadian" isn't an Ethnicity unless you're a native. lol Regardless, she's the ONLY asian I've seen put up in this thread that deserves a second look. The rest of em, poor taste........very poor taste.

Kinda makes me glad, maybe we won't see biased previews/reviews from E3 just cause geek-boy drooled the most at Game/Company "X"'s booth babes. Sex sells for sure, but it's unnecessary for an entertainment expo that isn't selling sex, IE a Porno Expo.
