Yeah I'm about 1hr drive/90-10km north of Toronto. This is a pic 5 minutes ago. I've shoveled 5 times since to keep things clear, and my car was cleared at 8:30 this morning. It was still warm enough to have snow melt off it, a few inches. There is 6" or so on there now. Point of reference, I'm 6'3"...that snowbank is just taller than me now.

This was nice to wake up to this morning at 6am...the snow on the van was only from 10pm last night, ignoring the 4-5 inches or so prior that I already shoveled a few times up till 2am! My little Hyundai was buried alive, I could see that one mirror peeking out and a bit of the front quarter panel. If you didn't know better, it looked like there was another minivan under the snow on it. I hate winter...we're supposed to get another 36cm in the next 8 hours. Double that over the next 24. Who else has some snow sucks pictures of recent where they are?

I appreciate classic American Muscle cars, it's the new garbage that people seem to think is shit hot I can't stand. Newer Corvette? ASS...all power, greasy bacon fat handling on the road just like the Viper. The new iterations of the Charger? Fucking please. The Mustang has sucked for a long time... If that's the best they can throw out, I'm not impressed. Japan has the "Muscle" these days, with cars that may not have a huge engine under the hood, but can out-handle the above cars by FAR where their HP means fuck all. My fav cars in no particular order? 1968 Dodge Charger 2000 Mazda RX-7 Type RB Lamborghini Countach (Stuff it Diablo)

Nope, sure ain't. When I put my car back on the road, perfectly good parts had gone bad from sitting. I had to replace a wheel cylinder(Rear driver brakes) and a hub assembly (Rear passenger wheel bearing). Funny thing...took me 10 minutes total to do both, parts $110. Parts a bit more at mechanic, but over $275 in labor...an hour to change that wheel bearing that took me (I shit you not) FIVE minutes! Quote was well over $400. In all fairness, the quote was book...but is obviously based on pressed bearings, which mine are not! Learn to fix your own shit people, save yourself LOTS of money!

You guys don't pay a sur-tax on blank media though, we do here...and it keeps entities such as the RIAA(Or CAD equivalent) from opening their yaps even. $5 50s of blank DVDs? Budget brands? There's plenty of those here, but I won't use cheap never heard of media, it's always been junk when I have. I buy Maxell or the Staples discs, as I know they're CMC MAG discs (Only 3-4 actual manufacturers of blank media in the world).

What I'd like to know is why Optical Media is still so expensive in comparison. A friggin hard drive that's 20x the size of a DVD, costs less than half the amount per-GB. A 50 pack of DVD-Rs here? Average price not on sale is around $30-$35 in stores. Say what? 300GB or so in optical media, for the price of a ~600GB hard drive?

There is no story to MK...sure they have snippets about each character at the end of the game etc, but there is no "Story". It's like complaining about the Street Fighter movie, on any level other than poor acting/choreography, there is no merit to the complaints regarding story etc. People hated the Double Dragon movie for anything beyond poor acting? Why? It's based on a game with a minimalist backstory... The last MK movie, I thought Sub Zero was POORLY acted...OVER-acted.

Figures...I buy those drives, and the 2TB drives go on sale for $69.99 a couple days later. FUCKERS!

I have a FREE hosting account I got awhile ago, I barely use it. I could certainly hook you up with a sub-domain and some space. There are limits on filesize though, so you won't be able to put up any files meant for downloading. I think it's like a 1-2MB limit on filesize. It also supports PHP/ has 1 MySQL database, which you could use if need be, as I'm not making use of it. Beats the average Free account you get these days.

Hey your damn holiday netted me a deal on 1.5Tb hard drives. Seagate's, not those shitty WD Blue or Green drives, I'll never touch another WD drive again in my life...look forward to seeing them go bankrupt, since they're going "Cheap China" on all their drives now. $60 a piece. Like what? I know a fair bit about cars, motorcycles and other small engine vehicles. And Electronics. Beyond that...not much. I can ARC and MIG weld, can't do TIG. Hmm does one even need to know anything beyond cars/motorcycles/electronics and welding? Pro-Tip - Welding a gas tank full of gas is easy. Run a hose from your exhaust with the car running into the gas tank...and weld away. Well, in theory...and I've seen it done, but I wouldn't do it!

It won't without it running, have it running when you boost the other car. Even if it's the same size battery the other car would have, you'll wind up with a reverse voltage drop across all of the electrical in the donor car.

You may boost it just fine, without the battery if it's carbureted and has no electronics controlling any of the fuel or ignition system. You won't have any lights or accessories mind you, but once the engine is running the battery does NOTHING in that department and serves only to provide power to the cars mechanical components and charge the battery. If there's any sort of sense circuit for the battery, which would indicate electronic components SOMEWHERE, this won't work. The other car running when doing so is PLENTY, you're drawing off the other cars battery as well as it's alternator. Just an FYI while I'm at it, NEVER boost a small vehicle (ATV, Motorcycle etc) with the donor car running, the amperage from the alternator WILL destroy the charging circuit in the smaller vehicle.

WRONG! Gas goes bad in a few months, and it varnishes metal components like carburetors, this process starts within a few weeks. Easy to plug a pin sized hole with this varnish, which is what the size of holes in carb needles are, starving the engine of fuel in the process. Hell the oxidization alone over time can EAT A HOLE in your gas tank if left long enough. Try leaving a motorcycle or snowmobile sitting for 6+ months with gas in it, and get it started...you won't without Carb cleaner blown through the air intake and a bit of ether in the gas tank. If you have fuel injection (especially electronic, where the computer will compensate) this is less of an issue, but you better burn it all off and fill with a fresh tank of gas and dump injector cleaner in there. Any time you are going to leave gas sit in the tank for more than a couple weeks, throw some Stabil in the tank.

Phucking phone junkies... I wish I could buy a phone with nothing more than PHONE and TEXT capabilities, with a QWERTY keyboard. No internet browser, no other useless overpriced Data Plan required crap. If you need a phone to tell you were the nearest restaurant or Starbucks is, you're a tool. Weather? Look up in the sky meatstick! I have a Blackberry, only because it was the cheapest phone I could find with the above. I've outright disabled Data services, NOTHING is allowed to connect to the internet.

I wouldn't go that far, playing through at such an early level was HARD. I died many times before finding tactics that worked.

I had 100% condition Power Armor on, and a companion. I laid a bunch of plasma mines down around the walkway and cliff, then sat back and shot him with Gauss Rifle knocking his sword out of his hands. Took a bunch of chems and yes used probably 15~ Stimpaks. Helps to set your companion to wait far back with a sniper rifle and set them to be aggressive. What'd I do when the General came in after? I RAN! Robots smoked their asses, and then I came back out. lol

Anyone else wind up finishing alot of quests without even knowing about them to begin with? I took out all those Super Mutants on Black Mountain, completing a Quest I didn't even have. There were 3 or 4 others where the same thing happened. The quest you get, to get the Power Armor was FUCKING NUTS. The only way I could beat that family of Arms Dealers was to go in and run to the back, Stealth Boy on then and lay a trail of mines down up the stairs to the back hall. Then when those ran out I just started heaving grenades down the hall. I had a hard time beating Legate too, I finished the game at only Level 7 or 8.

Finished it once. NCR? GTFO! Legion? GTFO! I went with Yes Man and the robots. I'll play through again, taking my time to explore everything. Not sure if I'll try and please everyone, or piss everyone off...but I ain't balancing anything either way. I'll probably get me some Power Armor again from the Brotherhood by playing nice, and then all bets are off.
