  1. You burn them like you would any other disc image, theres nothing special to do.
  2. Yes there is. There are 2 main versions of the Saturn however, and it only works with one, the Model 2. The model 2 (in 99% of cases) has round buttons on the system, the model 1 has oval buttons. The model 2 has 21 pins on the ribbon cable from the motherboard to the cdrom (Where the chip is placed) and the model 1 has 20, making them incompatible. There was at a time, chips for M1's, but nobody makes em anymore. You can buy one from http://www.jandaman.com/games.mvc?p=satmod&Category_code=SAT We have another forum member too who I believe sells Saurn mods, I just can't remember who it was. Hopefully he'll speak up because I think he sells em a little cheaper.
  3. http://www.onlineconsoles.com and my Dreamcast is pot tweaked to read CD-RWs, and theres a utility for working with VMUs. So besides Quake 3, which I have for PC (And now Xbox since the first release of the Xbox port came out), really whats left to be bothered with?
  4. Yes, they're listed on drives labels. THings like motherboards you'd need to look in the manual/safety panflet though. Judging by what he listed though, 2 SATA drives and a DVD+RW......250w might not be enough. Really depends on the draw from the drives though, the motherboard will draw a consistent ammount of power regardless of the number of expansion cards in it. And a P4 3.06Ghz draws a fair bit of juice, personally....I wouldn't even be running that setup with just a single hard drive on it's own, without at least a 350w PSU. Suffice it to say, I think you should try and find another PSU and hook it up externally to power the 6600. All you need is the lowest wattage one you can find, but theres a catch here, you can't use an ATX PSU, you MUST find an AT one. Why you might ask? Well you can't turn on an ATX PSU without it being hooked up to a motherboard (At least not without alot of hassle). An AT one however, you just flip the switch on. Find a really old computer with an AT PSU, and use that. btw, if you're buying a PCI-Express version of the card, you're SOL. You'll need to replace the PSU in your PC, as only the AGP version gets it's extra power from a secondary connection. The PCI-E version is supplied all of it's power from the PCI-E 16x slot.
  5. You could always just hook up another PSU externally and sit it ontop of the case or hide it behind. Just because the card says you should have a 300w PSU, doesn't mean it requires 300w itself....it doesn't. Your PSU may be able to provide it enough power if you don't have many components in there to begin with. What have you got in there? If you've only got one hard drive and one optical drive + motherboard with a couple expansion cards, 250w should be just fine to provide enough power to that hungry graphics card. What you can do is look at the power consumption of each device, add em all up and if they exceed 250w, you know you need more power for sure.
  6. Line voltage simulator. Yeah, if you care to be bothered. I would if there was more use for internet on my Dreamcast, but there just isn't.
  7. The only reason they'd have their own drivers would be because they're using a 3rd party proprietary board, and simply buy the GPU from ATi....like all these 3rd party mfg's do (Sapphire etc). It can be a bad idea to not use the proprietary drivers, if the card is made quite differently from a retail ATi card.....but for the most part, it's not an issue. I'd never buy a computer from a store, ever. Build or die. Computers are retard-proof these days, and color coded. Any moron can put one together from parts.
  8. I've still got mine softmodded this way (I haven't had time to install my X3 yet, and the softmod gives me incentive to be lazy as well, but I'll get around to it) and I cannot boot my Xbox at all with the drive unlocked, doesn't matter if I'm booting the softmod or the retail dash. Get an error. P.S. For the people who are "wary" of softmodding, softmodding isn't dangerous one bit if you have half a brain. Flashing your TSOP (The onboard bios....you can't do so on a 1.6 btw) is whats dangerous. If anything goes wrong, your Xbox is done for unless you feel like ripping the TSOP out and putting it in a programmer to re-flash it.
  9. I tried that awhile back, and unless your Dreamcast modem provides line power, you're SOL. Easy way to tell is 2 pins in the jack = externally powered, 4 = internally powered (Ground + 3v) So if you can't get it working, make sure you check on that. I spent like an hour messing with it and wondering why I couldn't get it working, I knew what I was doing....... btw, most Dreamcast dialup modems from what I have learned, are powered externally from a live line.
  10. Neither do I as well. What does a commercial game have to do with homebrew implentations? Nothing.....
  11. You're gonna have to wait until someone comes along that can help you better. I've only ever used Chankast just to check it out, as I own the real thing.
  12. I own a Dreamcast, thus I don't bother with Chankast. But here's what I got from a webpage.
  13. No, thats all there is to it. My previous ISP used to provide binary newsgroup access locally, then they changed it to Giganews.......which is a great service, provided you have binary access! They had no binaries anymore.....suckage! Current ISP offers the same thing, but it's internal. So 100% speed, but also no binaries.........useless.
  14. No rom requests, period. Read the Board Rules
  15. Although I don't use IE for anything but Windows Update, I do this whenever I have new bookmarks in Firefox. I export em and import them into IE, just because I like having my "Favourites" in the Start Menu. Have you noticed however, that in doing so.......IE never imports the "Mozilla Firefox" folder properly? It imports the folder, but none of the shortcuts.
  16. http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewforum.php?f=38 More specifically, within seconds of looking in the 2nd sticky there......you can find http://kb.mozillazine.org/Lost_bookmarks
  17. HK has always specialized more in speakers. Little tip when it comes to audio equipment (And really anything actually), don't buy an amp from a speaker manufacturer, buy one from someone who specializes in amps. Not that I think their amps are bad, but if you're gonna shell out alot of money for an amp....buy one from a company who has their main focus in that section.
  18. Your needs should be outlined in making this kind of decision.......not just wanting to know what people favour. You obviously don't need a Mac, or you'd know it already and wouldn't be asking. Otherwise, outline your major uses to get honest opinions and not fanboyism...........
  19. Being able to program in assembly is not a neccessity to writing an emulator. Understanding assembly, especially for a specific machine, will certainly aid in ones understanding of the machine in question though. Assembly is nothing more than human readable machine language. Binary representation using symbols. Thus, understanding the assembly language of a given machine, would give you more insight into how the machine actually works. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Assembly_Language If I am not making sense or something, forgive me......I just had 4 impacted wisdom teeth removed Thursday afternoon and I'm heavily medicated right now lol
  20. Sounds strikingly similar to Geist for Gamecube......
  21. *Stabs D&D dorks with folded Magic: The Gathering cards* For teh win!
  22. Brakken of http://www.pxn-os.com/, aslo found on Maxconsole's forums? Your insight into all things Gamecube has been very helpful to me and others. Did you sign up just to take a pot shot at PS2NFO? I say good show, I hate that site and their rat bastard staff. PS2NFO sucks!
  23. Thats because Quicktime is a resource whore and Apple's formats seem to be twice as large on average, meaning twice as much data throughput. I was glad when IGN started putting out WMV in addition to MOV, there was a time when they had MPEG clips and then nothing but MOV........arrrr lower quality and larger filesize, I found that odd.
  24. Didn't leave with anyone obviously, you're on the computer......and I'd bet the Yoshimitsu costume kinda wierded any potentials out. (I think it's cool though, wouldn't mind seeing it)
  25. Even with my hatred for Microsoft (There are numerous reasons, and if one needs to ask why one hates Microsoft....one needs to get off the internet RIGHT NOW!) I'd much prefer WMA/V over RM......by a longshot.
