Don't kid yourself, I just fixed a co-workers computer, and put a fresh install of Windows 2000 on it for him. The ONLY website I went to, was the Windows Update site and MSN.com (Default homepage when you open the browser). I wound up fighting with 4 trojans and about 40 different pieces of spyware to regain control of the PC (ALL the resources were eaten up). Normally before even going online, I'd get NAV installed so this sort of thing doesn't happen, but I was doing this at 1am and not thinking too well. Proof that Windows, just simply connected to the internet, is extremely vulnerable.

Thats because PC gamers are far more understanding (?) when a game has bugs that need sorted out. Most console gamers out there are oblivious to the idea of patches and simply want their games to work. Mind you it should be like that, the development is for one solid platform that the developer knows about entirely, there should be no bugs present in a console game. PC games however can be run on a wide array of hardware, far more likely for bugs to be present......with the developer being unaware in some cases.

Wrong, this is a rip from the Prodigy TC converted to DVD format. Far too many people do this, and it's utterly stupid. There aren't many DVD players out there that don't play VCD/SVCD........so these tools are just making the movie larger in size than it needs to be. There is also one of these done from the Hydro CAM, who the hell converts a CAM to a bigass DVD image? I'll never understand why it's done.

any comment on that Cinder? anyway quicktime alternative sounds sweet hope it works. No, not really. The first time I used it when it was still a relatively new thing.....the browser plugins for both formats refused to work. Works fine now though.

Ask and ye shall recieve. Two new rips, both TCs. Doom.TC.XviD-ASTEROiDS Doom.TC.SVCD-PRODiGY They are both much higher quality than the rest, but as for which one is better, they both look about the same. Ratings however are putting the PRODiGY rip out infront, which makes sense as it's SVCD, but that doesn't mean the XviD by ASTEROiDS is worse either.

Download Quicktime Alternative, just like the Real Alternative codecs....but for QT.

I'd highly suggest you ditch Real Player entirely and get ahold of Real Alternative. The Real Alternative codecs allow you to play RealMedia in other media players. Real Player is and always has been, buggy, a resource hog and full of junk you don't (Or at least shouldn't) want on your PC.

you could simply find a torrent. Thats if you really wanna see it. As of this moment, all 3 available rips SUCK ASS. Oh and 2 of the 3 come from the first source, a CAM by HyDRO. One is an XviD by some spanish site (The quality is absolutely disgusting......I've NEVER EVER seen an encode this bad. Honestly, it's blockier than a lego castle) The other is also an XviD encode by Misfits, which is marked as a TS (Is not, it's a re-encode from the Hydro CAM as well). This thing looked like it was encoded well from the cam, just too bad the idiot who did it didn't interleave it properly and used improper VBR values for the audio (Anyone who uses VBR is a fuxing tool anyway) and it's unwatcheable because it stutters due to the lack of proper interleaving. The name MISFITS really fits this group, I've yet to see a proper friggin encode done by them. The original and only other source is the original cam, your best bet if you want to see it..........but it's VERY VERY dark (Turn the brightness up on your TV big time) Wait another week or so for a proper TS/TC or DVD Screener rip.

I've never had problems with Windows either, and what Cinder said pretty much goes... except the very last comment. But whatever. What may I ask is that? The part where I said everything Windows ships with, including windows itself? I'm not being argumentative, but if all of your Windows games worked in Linux, would you not ditch Windows? I know I would, thats the ONLY reason I even use Windows.

Resets are quite common on the NES, SNES and even the N64. Get yourself a cleaning kit (a DIY solution with rubbing alcohol etc may work, but not well). There is the possibility that the battery is causing the reset problem however. When you do get it to run, is your save data gone? (If there is any? I don't remember with this game) My Super Metroid cart did this and every time it happened, my saved games were gone........the battery was pooched.

You obviously don't know too much about what you speak of then. When you "uninstall" either, the shortcuts and system references are simply removed. BOTH are still 100% present on your system unless you use a 3rd party method/tool to remove them. The same goes with Windows Messenger, it's not gone when you select to remove it in the Add/Remove Programs thing for Windows Software. And you must have IE to use the Windows Update site. Tell me that doesn't make what should be a simple application, a necessary system function? A browser should not function this way, or a website.......everything Windows ships with sucks, including Windows itself.

WMP is in the same boat as IE and all of Microsofts garbage. JUNK that doesn't get the job done right and is intertwined with the OS far too much. No application should should be interwoven into an OS........ever.

Should we start putting big bright orange stickers on peoples bumpers that say "Caution - Do not run/jump infront of"? Why don't they just make these idiots happy and put "Does not contain any ingredients suitable for human consumption" on the back of their packaging? Really? When are people going to STFU about things like this? Softmodding doesn't guarantee that you don't have to open the Xbox though, the only way not to is if you have a game that is exploitable. I don't, I hotswapped my hard drive to softmod my Xbox.

Hey........I'm an isolated freak, but I'm still married and have a 6 month old daughter. Actually I'd go beyond calling myself an isolated freak. I tend to dislike most of the world due to their lack of brains, can't carry on an intelligent conversation with 99% ofthe people I meet, therefore I'd rather not bother with them.

If you have Burnout 3, don't waste your money on Burnout Revenge. It's a good game, but you are trying to decide what to buy here right? Why buy this if you've played 3? Ninja Gaiden Black...........this is just Ninja Gaiden with the Hurricane packs and a new play mode (All of which you have to unlock). If you already have this game, don't buy it unless you have more money than brains. Shaolin Monks is fun, but I wouldn't pay money for it........period. Painkiller, I've got this for PC. Decent game, but not at the top of my list in the games you mentioned. Infact, 2nd to last. That leaves Serious Sam II and Farcry Instincts. My money would be placed on Farcry Instincts simply for the fact it's a better game than Serious Sam II. Serious Sam II is however pretty damn fun, but it's just not as good as Farcry Instincts, it's pure "Shoot sh!t" which if it weren't for the comedy/fun factor......would get boring REALLY FAST.
