  1. That's why your # pad is different from everybody elses. Play it some more, the equation decides which wire to cut, and it's not always the red one.
  2. I always love seeing people do stupid stuff that causes them to get hurt. If you're gonna do something stupid, you asked for it.
  3. Except tht quite a few DC++ hubs are very keen on banning anyone who uses Netlimiter. But whatever. And you catch someone using it how? It's a seperate program......you can't detect it or prove someone is using it.
  4. Alot of the problem with anything eating up bandwidth, is not what it appears to be. If you've got a 3mbit/512kbit connection, you'll surely notice when all of your upload is in use, your download speed is so slow it's disgusting. I use Netlimiter so that an app like DC++ doesn't eat up 100% of my upload, otherwise my download speeds are so slow, that it takes 5 minutes to load a webpage. He shouldn't realize anything is up unless you limit so heavily that he winds up in the position you were. It's because his stuff is eating up all the upstream that your downstream suffers really bad. Limit it some, and it'll balance out.
  5. http://www.netlimiter.com Install that on his machine, set the overall download and upload speeds to 50% of what you know to be the maximum. Then follow this to hide the Netlimiter icon, as Netlimiter doesn't have the option to do so. This works under XP, as well as 2k I believe. If he's running any other version of Windows, I don't know how to hide the icon without 3rd party tools.
  6. Usually Super 2x Sai, I'd much rather an older game be made to look better. Theres nothing "nostalgic" about scanlines, especially on a PC monitor where they look horribly overkill compared to a real TV, where you can barely notice them.
  7. Read here. But also realize, you aren't the only one with this problem. Try burning it instead.
  8. 1st try, I got to the part where you choose which wire to cut. Cut red and it blew up. I had 10 minutes left. (The keypad part is easy, the switches part is a little harder.......but think in multiples and arrange them correctly, DO NOT take the time to actually sit and do the math, work on the fly) I rather enjoy stuff like this. Edit: Finished it with 13.5 minutes remaining the second time around, didn't see the equation written on the back of the bomb the first time. FF0000 = Red 000000 = Black Do the math, whichever matches "Cut xxxxx" is the one you cut. That was too easy..........
  9. Nusumenai what genre doesn't have standardized controls? Games wouldn't sell very well to the average gamer if every game had drastically different controls. If you're under the impression that YOUR favourite games are any different, then you're sorely mistaken and really need to take a second look at them. EVERY genre has a standard, and every game within it. The only thing that sets one apart from another, is subtle differences. Get over it........
  10. How the hell do all these fast food joints survive in the US to beome large enough to afford TV advertisement on a regular basis? Beyond the major chains I know up here in Canada, I see commercials on TV for 30-40 other places like the ones just mentioned. Like Holy Sheep man.......does everyone down there eat fast food every day or something? Those places wouldn't be able to grow large enough for that up here.
  11. Current Affairs is there for a reason. For anything not emulation related. How many times must it be stressed this is an EMULATION site? Are we to have 100 forums with 800 subforums so that everything from the kitchen sink to "Yo Mamma" can be discussed in it's own area? And no, don't confuse my response with that of an angry one. I just don't understand why these requests are made when it's quite clear what the purpose of this site is.
  12. When you speak of food poisoning, it reminds me of what happened to me last year. Got home from work REALLY late, so I decided to go to the grocery store (Open 24hrs) and grab a chicken wrap. Not even 2 hours after I eat it, I'm feeling extremely sick, and my stomach is so sore I can barely stand up. I wound up lying on my bathroom floor for a half hour, in alot of pain, just trying to soak up the coolness of the floor to feel better. Finally managed to drag myself up the stairs (literally) and into bed, where I passed out and woke up the next morning feeling like I had been run over by a truck.
  13. Maybe it was caused by that burger from McDonalds? You should sue.......
  14. Mmmm extra crispy chicken head. Have you not tried one? They're great!
  15. Unfortunately the stereotype stems from the fact that in the US, it's loudmouthed idiots who seem to get the most "air-time" for voicing their opinions etc. Up here we tend to keep our idiots quiet by just plain beating them into being quiet........so it appears we are nice and less outspoken. Don't be fooled! I'm one of the idiots, they just haven't caught me yet!
  16. Even with it being a little dark, you can clearly see that it's VERY pink in the center. Not only that, it looks a little burnt on the outside. Obviously the grill was turned up far too high, you'd think with a place like McDonalds (Where they employ 90% students with half a brain) they'd have grills that only had an ON/OFF switch and always ran at the right temperature. It's not like they cook many different things afterall........ Oh and BTW, McDonalds has been ass for like 10 years now..........I can't eat anything from there without feeling like I'm going to puke 10 minutes later. Wendy's all the way for fast food!
  17. Man if only I didn't hate portable stuff (I tend to break EVERY portable piece of equipment I've ever owned) I'd get me a red DS.
  18. If the emulator for KI 2 you speak of is a port from U64Emu, then you're wrong......it IS possible. U64Emu has hardware acceleration, it just obviously isn't used in the Xbox port right now. That obviously could change. It could change with ANY piece of software that is dependant on the CPU, because the programmer could add hardware support if they wanted to. Never say never, just because MAME for instance uses heavily CPU based software rendering, doesn't mean it cannot have hardware acceleration implemented. It can, they just don't want to.
  19. Are you sure it's not called Articulator? Teeheehee Re-Noobed!
  20. And the Quake 3 port currently in the works.......
  21. Theres a Basic version and a Full version of this emulator..........full version is $35 blech Feature//Basic Version//Full Version ROM Image//Yes//Yes Disc Image//Yes//Yes Keyboard input//Yes/Yes Sound Card//Yes//Yes Region Select//USA//Configurable Aspect//Pixel//Configurable Audio Sample Rate//22050//Configurable Render//Software//Configurable Speed Control//On//Configurable Graphical User Interface//No//Yes gzip support//No//Yes zip support//No//Yes Backup RAM//No//Yes Configurable ROM extensions//No//Yes CD-ROM support//No//NT/2000/XP Only Screen Shot//No//Yes Joystick support//No//Yes Volume Control//No//Yes Rotate Screen//No//Yes Over Scan//No//Yes Full Screen Mode//No//Yes Screen size change//No//Yes Configurable Input//No//Yes The ammount of features lacking from the Basic version, makes me give this thing a big fat "LAME" sticker of disapproval. I wouldn't even be able to tell if this was something I'd want to pay for because of it. Mind you I'll never pay for an emulator, donations are one thing.......charging for emulators is another, and is something I highly disapprove of.
  22. Hardware ? Do you mean software. My mother board has no DRM hardware. No, this is on the hardware level. Don't you remember reading about all this hooey and how they were doing this to take a shot at Linux? Read this for a little more insight into what I'm referring to. After you're done, you'll agree like any other informed consumer........that hardware DRM is VERY bad.
  23. Someone care to elaborate now that it's been removed? I know Shelby is an aftermarket tuner like Saleen, hence it's not a "Ford Shelby Mustang", it's one or the other. Something besides this fact that was prevalent?
  24. You can't swap out the data track with another one if you rip to those formats, thats why I suggested ISO+MP3/WAV
