Played it, hated it 100%. Don't flame me for my opinion, it's mine to have and I thought I'd just toss it on the pile.

Isn't it possible to just toss any Xbox DVD drive in that you want? I'm lead to believe I'm one of the luckier Xbox owners with a Philips drive, I haven't had any problems reading ANY media thus far. I'd swap that mofo out with a Philips. As for the comment regarding it not being anything to do with the X3 bios that those games had problems. I'm willing to bet it was, they have released builds before that caused certain games to malfunction/not function at all. As I said though, this was quite awhile ago.........been many months since I had my X3 in.

James Bond - Everything Or Nothing would lock up at the 2nd level (Where you start off driving) as soon as you went over the edge of some part. Doesn't do it softmodded...... There were some general issues of occasional dirty disc errors and such with other games that don't happen softmodded either. It is however a different Xbox now, but it's the EXACT same model down to the drives in it. A 1.6 with a Philips DVD drive if I remember right.......theres also been several X3 bios updates since I last had it in too, who knows, I'll get around to re-installing the X3 at some point.

The culprits all seem to point to the system bus with what processes cannot be started. My guess would be that theres a problem with the north bridge. Maybe it's overheating, maybe it's dying.......but either way, if the chipset is goofing off, the laptop is pretty much bunk and dumpster material unless you can get your hands on a replacement motherboard.

I wouldn't have won anyway.....but man doesn't it suck to be an Admin sometimes.

It's backwards compatible with them but I don't think they'll be the same ROMs that are available over the Internet. It won't be free either. Are you serious ! that flocking sucks. but im sure that people will create a way to hack it to play roms ect.. i wonder how the new systems will be modded The same way every system with anti-piracy measures enacted are. It was a long ass time before anyone even figured out how to stream games over to the Cube, look how long it took for a mod to come out too. Personally I never thought it would happen at all. You have to admit that the Gamecube's protection was quite the beast, but I was amazed at the ease of burning a game to disc and it just working. I think the next gen will go the same. PS3 will be as easily cracked as the PS2, Sony knows it means hardware sales....... Xbox 360 WILL be harder to mod than the original Xbox, you can be sure of that one since MS is still cracking down on whoever they can get their hands on. The Revolution will be just as big a beast as Gamecube though, if not moreso.........Nintendo is an avid hater of even modding for the uses of homebrew, and they believe piracy to be the plague. This however hurts hardware sales for them, they just can't seem to realize that.

I went with NDURE instead of UXE (Yes it's UXE now), I couldn't understand how to make a go of softmodding at first and it was easier to work with. Reason why I was a bit more confused than most would be, I was hot swapping my hard drive to my PC, no mem card crap......wtf is the point in owning a memory card when the Xbox has a hard drive? And you need a specific game and a way to get the hacked save onto the memory card........what a pain in the ass. Now I'm not so sure if I am going to install my X3 again when the pinheader/rebuild PCB gets here. I don't do Xbox Live, and ALL my games work perfectly, whereas I had a couple issues with some games with my X3 installed.

Well, my PSX is already in storage. Replaced by the awesome ePSXe. All the cart systems I own/owned I either sold or they (Such as my SNES) are put away because emulators have made them inconvienent to use. I think I'll basically keep everything out until it is emulated to near perfection or at least very well, such as the case with ePSXe. I've had a goal for a long time now though, and that is to own EVERY standalone optical media based system there is. Systems like Sega CD are not only NOT standalone, they would be far too inconvienent to own, due to the fact I'd require a Genesis to go with it........which no, I do not own. So far I'm only missing these to my knowledge: Panasonic 3DO (I had one when it came out, sold it........cost too much for games!) Philips CDi Bandai Playdia Apple Pippin I'd appreciate it if anyone could add a rarity to my list, don't bother naming anything common like PS2 or Xbox for example.......own em. To answer the original question.......none. Once they're emulated well enough, they're getting boxed up and put away.

And that is what 99% of these little retards are like. Lets drop thousands into a used car we had GIVEN to us or paid less than a grand for, and sit in coffee shop parking lots and pound our subwoofers all night. I had lots of problems with the little bastards across the street where I used to live. Dealt with by taking a trip across the street with crowbar in hand. None of them seem to realize they DO look like circus acts.

Didn't someone post this quite some time ago? I remember reading about this in a news post here or possibly somewhere else like at least 3 months ago. What I really mean by this, is that I'm surprised it's still going on and theres been nobody who has stepped up and completed this already.

Yeah, every piece of hardware is going to be "key and sandbox" crap. If the software doesn't accept your hardware, you're SOL. Same goes the other way around. It's going to be like having one big ass security dongle for a PC.

Yeah, the only problem with that is nobody friggin cares. It's not like Blu-ray is going to take over the DVD standard, Sony may think so but it ain't gonna happen. Your avg consumer doesn't care, and your avg consumer that will buy a video game console isn't on the "up and up" when it comes to technology, they just want to play the pretty looking new games. It's us here........and other places, that have more insight into these things. 70% of people buying these systems aren't interested in the technical side, and 50% of that 70% I bet don't own a PC or at the very least, don't make a habit of being on it long enough to come places like here or other gaming sites.

Am I off target here, or isn't this built using the Microsoft XDK? That would make it something we shouldn't be offering for download here, could get us in trouble.

If it's more than $150 the price of an Xbox 360, I'd be willing to lay bets that Sony gets stomped this time around. Alot of gamers out there tend to #1 Go for what comes out first #2 Go for what is relatively cheaper if 2 systems come out near eachother #3 Gag at systems that cost more than $400.......I know I do

Well it used to work by putting a copy in your "Outbox" folder until the other person recieved it, then it would get put in your "Sent" box, unless you specified otherwise in your settings. You can't even change PM settings in 2.0, so you'd have to check that box EVERY time. They sure did change it enough in 2.0.......

I have some military experience, mind you no full out combat experience. I'm military bred, especially in my mindset. Have been since I was little. I don't believe it would affect me that heavily. Thats not to say it wouldn't affect me, it just wouldn't drive me crazy.
