Assault weapons ban expires tonight in the U.S.
ken_cinder replied to Sturmvogel's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
No civilian should be allowed to own ANY firearm for any means other than hunting. That "Right to bear arms" is BS, and your laws are quite retarded in the US......no wonder crimes involving firearms are so high in the US. Crazy Americans. P.S. I was in the army, and I'll reiterate, NO CIVILIAN SHOULD OWN FIREARMS -
Congrats GryphonKlaw and Agozer !

What do you guys (gals) look like?
ken_cinder replied to Fatal Rose's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
I posted a picture of me awhile ago. You're WAY off. -
Sweet! But sadly it ain't big enough for me to really go wow. I'd wolf that down no problem. 2 Classic Triple burgers (including 2 orders of Biggie fries and a biggie drink) are no match for me. Make one that I couldn't even get my hands around, then gimme a call.

Idiocy on eBay makes me smile...
ken_cinder replied to AntiWinner22's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
no u dont. u get a bad comment on ur seller's/buyer's profile, and i think u get penalized by ebay or sumthin. but yeah, u dont have to pay, but i didnt say the consquences were good either hahaha Non paying bidders get more than a negative comment on their feedback. You CAN be suspended from Ebay indefinitely if it's serious enough, or if you just so happen to get a staff member of Ebay reviewing things who has had a bad day. Not to mention, someone like me, would fill your email inbox with spam galore from advertising and porn websites, just for screwing around. Ebay is for people who want to buy stuff, not for people who turn around and go "Oops! I found a better price" or "Oops I can't afford it now" -
What I bought comes with a few flat pieces I may be able to make use of. If not, I'll jsut buy some. As for buying Technics Lego, buy it for me........using those would cost a fortune to build a PC case, alot more than buying a real PC case from a good brand name mfg. Technics is out of the question, so was Lego brand lego really......for the amount I need, Lego brand costs too damn much.
-
Cost me over $100 to get enough pieces of mainly 2x4 blocks if they are Lego brand. Trust me, I went to the online Lego store. As for everything being sold on Ebay, it's all messes of Lego flags, wheels and junk, or pre-designed sets (When did everyone lose their imagination? Lego is coming out with too much pre-set design lego kits these days, ,and not enough big ass buckets of plain blocks) As for it melting, do your fans melt in your case? Does the fan on your CPU or GPU melt? (Though some are metal fans, not all are) It's not like the temperatures inside a PC case get that high even WITHOUT any fans. lol
-
Now where is the fun in that? Or the imagination?
-
Nuh uh! This case will consist of NOTHING but Lego, including all fastening of parts. And of course the PC components. But no screws, no tape, no crazy glue, no chewing gum!
-
A tower, with the motherboard vertically just like in a normal case. Yeah, you're probably wondering "How he hell are you gonna keep the motherboard in place?" You'll see........
-
I fully intend to buy some clear blocks/1x1 cylinders to put LEDs in, if there aren't any in that big lot I just bought (I don't see any, but that doesn't mean there aren't any)
-
I wasn't kidding when I said I was gonna build a PC case out of Lego! I just won an auction on Ebay for 14 POUNDS of Lego for a mere $9.99 USD, what a steal. (Well, Mega Bloks and Best Lock, same diff) http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIt...item=5918695703 Let the creation begin! I'll be back during the course of building this with pictures, and pictures of it when it is finished!

Set your multipliers by the jumpers on the board! Don't go with that Jumper-less settings in the bios crap, no matter how easy it is. Annoying things like this can happen.
-
One of these days i'm going to build a lego computer case. Need another expansion bay? Just build it in! Holy shiznit........dude, I'm building my next PC with a Lego case. What an awesome idea.

Some of us aren't of the personality to talk about absolutely nothing! I'm a quiet person, and I don't care to take part in conversation unless it's intelectually stimulating. (Topics about which video game character is better, is NOT intelectually stimulating, it's the topics I read when I need to be put to sleep)

a question for all the working stiffs here.
ken_cinder replied to solidius23's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
No job is worth going bananas over......... I left a job I had for nearly 5 years, making approx 52k a year, due to it being to stressful. I had been promoted to Supervisor of an entire section of the plant at 18 years old. I got sick of dealing with idiots (idiots who were sometimes twice my age or more), lack of managerial skills (the people in the office never know how to do their job right, anywhere you work IMO) and I got sick of putting in 110% effort while others put in MAYBE 50% and never got any real respect for it. I said I was quitting, and that I'd train someone to take over for me. What I got was a slap in the face and told I had 2 weeks to be gone. 3 days before that time came, I had the manager groveling at my feet for me to stay. No way buddy. It's scary to quit/lose your job when you really need the money, but I managed, even though now I can't go blowing money on whatever I want. On the upside, I started the store on my site and I wouldn't have done that if I was still working where I am (It's taking off slowly mind you), I have a job now that has differing hours and I get to meet new people every day, and sometimes I get days off in the middle of the week. The pay isn't as great, but the freedom is better. Weigh the pros and cons, and try to ignore the fear associated with leaving your job...........you'll decide what is right for you. -
FLV2SWF.......then SWF2AVI Voila! (I can't help you with using these however, I've never used em)

should i buy 64MB GUILLEMOT HERCULES 3D PROPHET 40
ken_cinder replied to Corn99's topic in Nerd's Chatter [/nerds]
A PCI (PCI!!!) 7000 for $44? Flock that shiznit! You got ripped off. I'd pay like $5 for it, hell I wouldn't take it for free. -
Tis not free now. It's $18.99 a year, but offers 3GB of space with a 20MB file attachment limit. Not too shabby, but I'll never utilize 1GB.......let alone 3.
-
As long as it was cheap for POP/SMTP access, I'd probably pay for it. Still 1GB of space, with standard access (POP/SMTP) for say, $12.95 a year at MOST.
-
Don't know much about them. But I'm technically inclined. First off, you would need drivers written specifically for it, as it isn't designed for PC. Secondly, how does one know it functions as a camera, and not just a motion detector? Even if it does function as a camera, it would probably offer worse quality than any cam made for use on a PC.
-
I know it's not now, but nothing that starts out free from a major player on the internet, stays free. Eventually it will be a pay service. j00 need my email address to give me an invite? Ok......but please don't hurt it.
-
I'll take one, I've been wanting to check Gmail out for awhile now. How can giving away all these free invites be good for Google? When the time rolls around for them to start charging for the service, alot of people will already have accounts they got for free. It's never a good idea to ask someone already using your service, to suddenly start paying. (The proof is in the puddin', lots of services have failed going this route, and handing out too many freebies)

ok I'm a complete DC emu n00b.
ken_cinder replied to Iori Yagami's topic in DreamCast & Saturn Emulators [/pc/dc+saturn]
Yes, you can find Utopia and use it. Play Asia, Lik Sang (Shipping costs are usually more than Play Asia, with items selling for the same prices) and Ebay. Yes there are Genesis emulators for Dreamcast, they aren't all that great. And none support Sega CD games right now. Get the Sega Smash Pack, it has a Sonic game on it. For emulators, try DCEmulation There is, and it only supports smaller, older NG games. No chance in hell of getting this game to run right now. I hope that covers it....... -
From what I read, the game has to be coded to support it. So only new/changed games will work with it. None of the current games will instantly support multiplayer.
