This is normal, Visual Pinmame creates linked COM objects which are seen as a possible threat by Norton AV. I'm running Norton AV 2k4 and I've never had it occur with that, make sure whatever version you are running, that it's fully updated, if you still see it then place it on the ignore list. As for working roms, follow the links in my tutorial.

Most Detailed 'Leaked' Xbox 2 Spec Emerges - Must
ken_cinder replied to i l l m a t i c's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
This? Again? The CPU specs are total BULLSHAT, 3.5Ghz+ x3? And they WILL be PowerPC CPUs as has been REALLY stated by Microsoft already.........3.5ghz PPC CPUs don't exist right now! And that would be hella costly to use a brand new technology in a console..........like a $3000-$5000 Xbox 2. Don't believe anything you read unless it comes straight from the horses mouth, not the horses ass. -
Corporate Edition is just Pro, but requires no registration/validation BS. Tis what I (and pretty much anyone who has a downloaded copy) have.
-
No good for SP1, beta key.....denied.

Look at the link posted earlier, not only are those feature differences present but you have far less control over your system in general. XP Home just plain sucks unless you can barely turn a PC on. *cough* !orP fo ypoc a etariP

You know what I meant it was just a typo.......don't get picky with me foo

3000k, divided by 8......and there you have it! (btw 1mbit = 1024kbits, so if you have a 3mbps cable connection it's actually 3072k) In short, 384kbps per machine (But that will always vary due to many things).

What do you need to play doom 3
ken_cinder replied to PLasticSlug's topic in Nerd's Chatter [/nerds]
What the hell is this Texture Swamping? Texture Swapping in and out of video ram is a huge burden on performance. I need a new PC anyway, Doom 3 is only playable at low detail for me. -
If you take a look, the seller cancelled almost all the bids, as they were people screwing around. I've already got my copy

Hell if I know, I got my first Atari computer when I was 3 or 4. Don't think I could say I WANTED one at that age.

Fav Fighting Game Company!
ken_cinder replied to Sybarite Paladin AxL's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
Since this thread has been dragged back from the dead........ Whichever one dies first, unless one of them turns the genre around and stops the steady stream of shovelware rehashes. -
I'd come back as a woman and be EXTREMELY promiscuous. Hey, I'm a guy of course I'm gonna say that's what I'd do.

More Half-Life 2 theft details emerge
ken_cinder replied to Alpha's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
You and I don't lose money when our desktops crash.........when someone is able to steal source code for a commercial product due to a vulnerability in an M$ Operating System running on a server, I think the company that had the theft occur, should sue the pants off Microsoft. Then again, it's Valve's own problem, only a moron runs a corporate server using Windows. -
Model 1,2,3 Emulation...........
ken_cinder replied to Dynamo's topic in Arcade Emulators [/pc/arcade]
Moved to Regular Arcade Emulation forum, these aren't consoles Model 1 emulation has been around for a long time now, with Modeler, I'm not sure if any games have been done in MAME yet as I stopped following MAME over a year ago (Too many updates too often) Model 2 emulation has been working for quite awhile now with the Nebula Model 2 emulator. Model 3 emulation is underway with an emulator called Supermodel, but this is not available to the public right now. Information on the 3 platforms and their board revisions, as well as links to emulators for them, can be found at System 16. -
More Half-Life 2 theft details emerge
ken_cinder replied to Alpha's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
Just more proof Windows is so frickin insecure.......why can't Valve sue Microsoft too? -
I like anything FUN, I don't have any real bias towards any genre as long as I can find a game in it that entertains me. The only genre I'm impartial to is fighting games, I feel that genre has started going downhill in the past 3 or 4 years and I don't play newer ones. The genres I lean towards more...... FPS Action/Adventure Platformers RTS

Good Tools' Directory Structure [Fixed]
ken_cinder replied to Daeval's topic in Other Emulators [/pc/other]
You have Goodinfo.cfg in the same directory as GoodNES.exe? You are working with the Goodinfo.cfg that came with the original release? (Open it and make sure everything is in place) You aren't using the GoodWindows GUI (Don't use that thing, it's lax) -
I suggest you simply do it now. If you didn't catch his snide response to my accusation of not only packing, but obfuscating it as well. It was nothing more than a "No sh!t Sherlock!". He just can't seem to wrap his thick skull around the problems with this. It's not the fact he may have hacked it, it's not even really the fact of it being illegal to begin with (We all know there are plenty of hacks floating around), but to claim something for your own and slap a whole new name on it? What a god damn slap in the face to the Giri Giri team. I spent nearly 3 hours last night tearing executables apart, comparing code, doing hex dumps and comparing those, and more. As far as I can tell, he's done nothing more than pack the EXE and obfuscate the code contained within. I can't tell if he's done any real alterations to anything, because of the obfuscation! (Why obfuscate the code? Who knows, he ran off right after I asked him to tell us why he has something to hide) In the end, this should not be supported by any emulation site that has any respect for what emulation is all about. It boils down to nothing but that. Keith chooses to not allow it based on legal reasons, very good ones infact. And even if he there wre none, who is anyone to tell someone how to run their website? If anyone tried to dictate to me how to run mine, I'd show them the door. This "hack" is worse than any hack around, simply due to the fact of it being claimed as their own. I don't think I should say any more, I'm starting to get a little steamed about the entire thing.

I've only got 120GB across 2 disks, but I've got 13 partitions and 3 Operating Systems on here. So bite me

By default in XP, the guest account is turned off. Thus requiring you to login with a user/pass matching an account on the PC you wish to access. If you want annonymous access, turn the guest account on. Otherwise enter your username and password for any of the accounts on the PC you wish to access. Even if you only have one account and it logs on automatically, you still have a username/password assigned to those accounts.
