  1. I'd be willing to bet they've intentionally screwed the system up because they've already given away too many of them. Bastards.......
  2. Can't be anything to do with my browser, I just tried it in IE as well. It's just not accepting the code that IT gave me.
  3. It won't accept the code it gave me, it keeps saying my code "is not in a valid code. Please try again." WTF!
  4. Guess I'll have to add them in when I get a chance. So much to do, so little time. Wish I could get some news posters on the site, I'm so busy with other stuff I have hardly any time to do it.
  5. Using the same users database as my main site would require too much editing, not to mention an entirely seperate database has to be used, as alot of tables the tracker requires, clash with tables already used by the forum/store. (Categories etc) Thus I had to host up another database myself, just for the tracker. That, and the data fields found in the tracker's "users" table, have alot of fields that are simply not the same as the fields in the "users" table the forum uses. This leads to even more editing.
  6. I've finished setting up a PHP based Bit Torrent tracker for my website, which is accesible from the links that are now up in the menus. The tracker is open to anyone wishing to put up a torrent for share. The only stipulation is it must be gaming material. Abandonware, classic games, PC, console, arcade, whatever. You are responsible for any material you post, but as long as you are comfortable posting it, post whatever you want. It doesn't matter exactly what you put on the tracker, as long as it's gaming related. (ie: no movies or music, unless they are something like a video clip for/from a game or a game soundtrack etc) At the moment there are only 4 categories available, don't mind that for now, just put your torrent in whichever category you feel is more appropriate. I'll get around to adding more categories, on a very detailed level at a later time. You must register first in order to post/download torrents. Go on! Make use of the tracker, it's up there for everyones use and members from this site are very much welcome to make use of it! Tracker
  7. 45 (getting there) with 55 total positive feedback. No neutrals, no negatives! I want my blue star too!
  8. The last (and ONLY) time I installed a codec pack, it screwed up 3 existing codecs, and when I uninstalled it I even lost codecs I had installed on my own that it had apparently overwritten. I even lost all my frickin MP3 codecs, and was left unable to even play music let alone a movie that had MP3 audio. Stick to individual codecs, packs are junk.
  9. Always capture to uncompressed frames if you have the space available, and then re-encode with something like Virtualdub to your desired end result format (DivX for example) NEVER capture straight to a compressed format. Not only is it a slow process, but you end up with a crap video right off the bat. Multiple passes are required when encoding to something like DivX in order to have decent quality video. I hate seeing all the music videos and tv shows people have captured that look like utter crap, cause they capture straight to a compressed format and it comes out blocky.
  10. I've never been one to follow the latest trends of clothing, I'd rather have 3 pairs of pants for the same price someone spends on 1. But when it comes to my shoes, I have to have a nice pair and something that someone else wouldn't usually buy. Right now I have a pair of silver/red/black Nike Air Bohemians (90% silver, friends call em "Moon boots") and a pair of Nike Air Max something-or-others that look like spandex shoes that spiderman would wear. (They are covered in an ice blue plastic webbing) My next pair to find MUST be a pair that is mainly lime green, or neon green. You think women take a log time shopping for shoes, it takes me a good hour in ONE store to find what I want, cause I won't leave the store with some plain looking crap everyone else is wearing. I want people to see my feet from 5 miles away. Usually spend about $150 CAD on a pair of shoes, but I have spent upwards of $190
  11. Corn Pops, Corn Flakes and Rice Crispies (Sugar rots your teeth and makes you fat kiddies) Oh and this stuff. w00t!
  12. Set up the systems language to be in English. Boot the emu without a game and it's one of the buttons in the CD Player screen, it will take you to a menu and one of the menu items is for setting the language. (I'd look for you, but my Saturn is actually disassembled right now, I've been playing around with it) You'll find it, eventually.
  13. Pretty much EVERY sound card has a volume control for midi playback, something or someone has dropped the volume to 0 or muted the volume for midi. Check your soundcards mixer controls.
  14. No, but talking about how the world is full of sh!t, terrorist kill people etc. etc. gets tiresome after a while....even more so if politics is involved. Well some of us like to talk about such things and there is nothing you can do about it. My advice to those that don't like these threads: when you see a topic started by random guy that sounds remotely politcal or about the real world, no need to visit it. You got it BUB! Sounds good. Stay the flock out of my threads unless you have anything constructive to add And seriously, some of you guys are the most apolitical fellows I've ever met - how can you be an adult of or nearing voting age in this day and age WITHOUT being extremely pissed off about the current state of world diplomacy? Calling topics about politics 'spam' is just rediculous! No wonder so few Americans vote, if that's the attitude the majority of its citizens take! You have one chance every 3 years to make a difference, to TRULY have your say in the democratic process, you'd have to be INSANE not to take it! Vote, you fools, vote! Unless you want a moron like Bush in charge again! ...And why was the Paul Johnson thread closed? Posting pictures about it is in bad taste, I agree, but that was important news! There's a difference between censorship to keep things pg-13 and censorship of important news and events. And anyway, it seems like half the threads that poor Emsley makes get closed. He's admin too, why don't people respect his authorit-ah? well I will say this. I was riding with some of my familiy and my uncle was talking with a friend and it turns out that some of his friends at the armory just got orders to go to iraq and the only reason that my uncle didn't get orders was that he wasn't on duty. So anyways chances are that my uncle is going to go too and that he will be called to go in too but maybe later but he wants to go with his crew becuase he a "track mechanic"(guys that work on tanks and stuff) and you know how americans love to break down tank in iraq. So any ways my granda was like why? tell them to flock off that you dont want to go that you want to stay, and he's like no "I can't I have to go, it's nice when your country provides all these nice things for you and good money but when they need you it's not right to abandon them, and besides we need the war" and my grandma's like why and he says "money, the war makes the money circulate, soldiers need food, clothes, medical stuff and people need jobs so who's going to get that stuff for the soldiers?" yeah war maybe stupid but it's a natural part of life, I dont see you yelling at the romans for slaughtering the greeks, war has it's prices and it's rewards, so get over it. Hmm...interesting - I remember when we had our first discussions about the Iraq war - correct me if I'm wrong but were you not one of the few people arguing that the economic cost of the war would far outweigh any gains bush got from oil? Anyway, regardless of whether that's true or not, if you love a country, that doesn't mean you should get involved with any immoral scuffle the current leader gets you involved with. In fact, if your uncle TRULY loved the country, he should be concerned not with fighting this war, but with STOPPING the war, so that the US can salvage at least a small modicum of their international reputation, before the rest of the world starts hating America as much as bin Laden does. Just thought I'd carry the previous quote-fest on cause I wanna! btw, the next time you encounter a moron, send em here.
  15. I just got my shipment in today. Dreamcast S-video and AV cables, Dreamcast Controller extension cables, Saturn S-video and AV cables, Saturn mod chips, Gamecube S-Video cables, Genesis AV cables, GBA 4 player link cables. And I still have plenty of CR2032 batteries in stock for Saturn/Dreamcast VMU etc.
  16. Something tells me the "Community Service" he does involves wearing pantyhose and yelling "Hey baby, wanna take me for a ride!?"
  17. Emachines ARE crap, and they aren't the best solution for someone with a lack of funds. The best solution PERIOD is to build your own, you can build something BETTER and CHEAPER than an Emachine. And nobody who calls themself a gamer would ever buy an Emachine unless they are crazy, you might as well buy another used PC that is 5 years old, cause the parts used in Emachines are about the equivalent to a PC that was built 5 years ago using top of the line parts.
  18. Don't get me started on that joke gaming console (Can we say "A flop before it even hit shelves?") btw my PLC at work used an Embedded Windows CE, it was the operating system that housed all the programs required to keep my line operating correctly. Embedded OS just means contained on a chip, what OS is contained on that chip can be ANYTHING that will fit and has the means to function from it.
  19. Wrong, an Embedded OS is simply an Operating System on a chip. iq_132 is correct, stripped Windows 2k kernel.
  20. You have been misinformed somehow. There is a thread relating to mods not working with 64 pin Saturns on SegaXtreme, but it's only if you do the A+B method that it doesn't work. This has had enough people wondering if a mod chip will work on their 64 pin Saturn, simple answer.........Yes, if you don't try to take the shortcut way around by doing the A+B method (I don't recommend this EVER anyway, the chip isn't designed to work like that, some people just got lucky) The other thing some people experience their chips not working because of, is a certain model that merely requires bridging a gap on the other side of the mod chip.
  21. Don't have a PS2 and I haven't ever heard of this game.PS2 sucks
  22. Ham, Pineapple (who said pineapple is mushy? You need to be buying your pizza from a place that doesn't use ingredients that are a year old. Pineapple is a coarse, tough fruit. lol) and Green Olives. Alot of pizza places make the mistake of calling a pizza with just Ham and Pineapple "Hawaiian", this is not true. A "Hawaiian pizza consists of those AND green olives dammit! Where them hula girls at!?
  23. It's been said that late model Dreamcasts don't work with the Mil-data (Data/Data) selfboot method, there is none that simply don't read backups. Besides, most every selfboot backup is Audio/Data anyway, and even if your DC won't do Mil-Data, just use a bootdisc (None of them are Mil-Data format)
  24. Yes I ship worldwide, infact I just sent an order to Australia on Monday. Just a mod chip with shipping is $16.99 USD. If you are in need of any cables or anything else you see on my website and wish to order something else as well, I suggest you wait a week or so, as I placed an order with one of my suppliers for a bunch of cables and more mod chips. They should be here within 7-10 days (I hope)
