Chankast Alpha Emulator Compatibilty List
ken_cinder replied to Alpha's topic in DreamCast & Saturn Emulators [/pc/dc+saturn]
18 Wheeler American Pro Trucker - Hangs at Sega™ screen. 4x4 Evolution - Crashes (MMU not supported) 4 Wheel Thunder - Hangs after selecting a vehicle Aerowings - Game works, but can't see menu (Must navigate blindly) and in-game screen is black except for the HUD. Sound is almost perfect. Game technically unplayable. Airforce Delta - Chankast crashes when starting a mission. P.S. "Bleamcast Blue Beta".......there is NO difference between any of these discs besides the color of their label. Period. So you might want to just label it as "Bleemcast Beta" Will test more when I have time. -
Chankast Alpha Emulator Compatibilty List
ken_cinder replied to Alpha's topic in DreamCast & Saturn Emulators [/pc/dc+saturn]
Stunt GP works, but has some pretty bad graphical errors, sound doesn't work in the menus, but sound works so-so in game. Headhunter (Which you already have up there) works perfectly fine for me, no sound problems unlike what is stated. -
Chankast Dreamcast Emulator Is Now Downloadable!
ken_cinder replied to Alpha's topic in Emulator Releases [/emu]
Games have to be self booting to work, keep that in mind. If the game isn't self booting and/or doesn't support VGA, it won't work in the emulator. -
Thanks for the tip! I thought it might be possible... =( Are your first 4 "keys" under joystick garbled too? Actually due to the config not showing in XP, and having to configure under 2k and copy files over........I have no Joystick option in my config, so I wouldn't know. But that's because I simply haven't gone through the trouble of installing my controllers in 2k, as I don't use 2k unless I really really need to.

Chankast Dreamcast Emulator Is Now Downloadable!
ken_cinder replied to Alpha's topic in Emulator Releases [/emu]
Complaining about the first ALPHA release not running full speed on your SEVERELY outdated PC will get you where? I have a P4 1.4Ghz (On an Asus P4T mobo) running 512MB of PC800 RDRAM (Whups DDRs ass any day of the week but costs 2x as much) and a Radeon 8500, I'm certainly not complaining that an ALPHA release of a Dreamcast emulator only gets me 35-40 frames per second(!) -

It is NOT your motherboard. It's your processor. A Pentium 3 CPU or better (or equivalent) is required, as older processors do not support SSE. As for the d3d9.dll error........INSTALL DIRECTX 9 fools! -
Yeah I figured that out awhile ago. I had to configure my controls in 2k and copy things over to my XP partition. The control config is terrible, it's ass backwards. Double click a key and then select a button. That and it should store your controls in a config file local to the emulator (in the same folder)

Game Problem
ken_cinder replied to 1InuYasha's topic in DreamCast & Saturn Emulators [/pc/dc+saturn]
Half Life doesn't work because the memory routine is not supported. You get "MMU Not Supported" for an error. This is the first release of the emulator, I don't suggest you expect even half of the games you have to run. Certainly not every game. Emulators don't instantly run every game in existance. -
/me wonders why everyone calls IRC, "mIRC" IRC is the protocol.......mIRC is a program! Sides, IRC is teh suck.

Free Dvd Movie When You Order A Large Pizza!
ken_cinder replied to Alpha's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
No Papa Johns here, too bad. Pizza hut is selling greasy disgusting pizza (their pizza sucks) with cheesy movies (Pardon the pun) -
The "Xbox 2" is going to be running a PowerPC architecture. How could is possibly run Windows games for instance, without some sort of emulation?

Cds And Dvds Not So Immortal After All
ken_cinder replied to Alpha's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
And the moral of the story is? Don't buy cheap media. I have discs I burnt like 5 years ago that are still in absolute perfect working order. -
Nintendo Ds And Sony's Psp Rumoured To Be..
ken_cinder replied to Alpha's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
Sony is kidding themselves if they think they can take on Nintendo in the handheld market with a piece of hardware that costs more and has nothing coming before it to be proving ground. All I really care about, is that the DS will drive the price of a GBA into the basement and I can buy one for my brother if he still wants one by then. -
Not quite yet, but they're coming in my next order. I just recently started things up and only have some mod chips in stock atm I'm doing this all out of my own pocket, as I don't want to take any loans out to start this up. Thus I'm going to have to build stock slowly
-
Unfortunately, if he's bought a Model 1 Saturn like he stated (Oval buttons) he probably cannot chip it. 99% of model 1 Saturns have 20 pin ribbon cables between the CDROM drive and the motherboard, and there are only 21 pin mods in production. Open up your Saturn and count the pins on the ribbon cable. You may have gotten lucky and scored a 21 pin Model 1 Saturn. But there is a slim to none chance on that.

I'm locking this thread because it's completely lost it's opinion value and gone way off track into sporadic arguements, and I forsee it only going further downhill. *Smashes thread with a hammer* -
How To Install Win 98/linux Over Xp?
ken_cinder replied to alexis's topic in Nerd's Chatter [/nerds]
Yeah, it's possible but not recommended, as you could confuse yourself and mix up files in your Program Files and documents folders for instance. As for HAVING to have Win 98 on your primary partition, I will say again, no you don't. [boot loader] timeout=15 default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS [operating systems] multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /KERNEL=kernel1.exe multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT="Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional" That is my BOOT.INI, and it could be altered to support 98 on say my E drive for instance by doing this. [boot loader] timeout=15 default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS [operating systems] multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /KERNEL=kernel1.exe multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT="Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional" multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(3)\Windows="Microsoft Windows 98 SE" You only have to do what anything tells you you have to, if you don't know what you are doing. -

ken_cinder replied to alexis's topic in Nerd's Chatter [/nerds]
Incorrect, you can install them on whatever partition you want. It's the order you install them that matters. If you install XP, then 2k for instance, this will overwrite the boot loader with an older version and XP won't boot. As for Partition Magic erroring out, look up the error code. It's most often due to a severely fragmented drive etc that errors occur though. Scandisk and defrag before altering partitions. -
Combat flight sim......IL-2 Sturmovik if you like WWII styled ones. For modern, I have only played a couple and Lock On - Modern Air Combat is one of them, and I didn't like it. The controls are terrible (And I'm using a flight stick), the gameplay is too linear and it's overall just not that great of a game, far from the insane hype it was getting till it was released.

*No relation to any other posts, was too lazy to read* I have my wisdom teeth half way in on the bottom, 1 on either side. They have been that way for the past 5 years and haven't moved a bit. They cause me no pain, but they sure do trap pieces of food pretty good and make me exhaust my tongue getting little bits of food out of em. Very annoying when eating something like steak for instance. I sure hope they just stay put and don't grow in farther, if they do I hope even more that they don't cuse me any pain. I did have a tooth pulled when I was 12, that had grown in behind another tooth. That was very painful.

Me so sick of polls with only option to vote for opposite ends of the question. I prefer to sit on the sidelines on this one with an "I DON'T GIVE A F**K AND NEITHER SHOULD YOU!" Why should you care? It affects you not. Then there is the religious aspect. I myself think ALL religions are a f**king joke, but I don't care to question if they are right or wrong, or ask others if they are ok with em. Note the above......"I DON'T GIVE A F**K" about other people's religious beliefs either. On a closing note, this thread was started based on someone's insecurity, nothing more. If people were secure in their own beliefs, they wouldn't question the beliefs of others. Nuff said!
