  1. Sounds like it's for Xbox, so it shall be moved to the Xbox emulation forum.
  2. You can try this tutorial to share your PC's broadband connection, but you MUST have a Dreamcast modem that is internally powered. An externally powered one requires a live phone line, and will not work. (They have 4 pins inside the jack, internal powered ones will have 2 pins) If you can't do the above, you need a legit dialup ISP. NetZero and other free ones that require ad software won't work, and neither will an AOL connection either.
  3. I use Super Eagle of Super2xsai. Scanlines in emulators are WAY overdone, no TV (or arcade monitor) shows scanlines as much as the filters that emulators have do. I also prefer my graphics to look smoother than the original if possible, scanlines aren't bad on the real thing cause you don't even notice em, but the filters used to simulate them on your PC monitor are HORRIBLY overdone and look disgustingly UNreal.
  4. I do, but please.........why is it always reported in the southern US or Mexico, by fat toothless rednecks or crazy Mexican people? (Both groups being ones who live in rural areas) I blame it on Inbreeding, drinking too much and being dropped on their heads as children too often. If aliens were going to visit Earth, they wouldn't let themselves be seen AT ALL if they didn't want to. And they certainly would be intelligent enough to avoid being detected by your avg redneck. Personally I don't think any aliens have ever been here in the time of humans, if at all. They have either already came before we came into existance, haven't found us yet or don't even have the technological means to do so yet. If they were able and knew about us now, they would be more intelligent than us and have FAR superior technology that got them here, and would make their presence known in some way.
  5. Firefox And IE is NOT a browser, it's an "HTML Renderer", by W3C standards. IE is TEH SUCK and so is Microsoft.
  6. Avg for me is 4am - 6am, but sometimes I find myself not sleeping AT ALL. I used to stay up for days straight all the time a couple years ago, only sleeping on the weekend really. Sleep is for the weak!
  7. After wondering how I would keep track of my pinball roms and tables, I decided I'd do a little digging through VPForums and came up with VPLauncher, a nice, yet simple little utility to keep track of your tables. It even has flyers and screenshot support in the GUI. As for auditing my roms? Well PinMAME uses the MAME core, so why not use Romcenter (or ClrMAMEPro if you like it instead) and have it create a DAT file using PinMAME's EXE? It worked like a charm and I was able to clean up my pinball roms. You MUST use PinMAMEW though, NOT Visual PinMAME, to generate the DAT file. Visual PinMAME works a little differently and uses a DLL for it's core instead of an EXE. Hope this helps anyone who has been wondering how to keep a handle on their tables and roms. P.S. I'm starting work on my own table. I can't tell you it's theme, it's never been done before.
  8. I never throw away retail music CDs, and I never burn music I've downloaded. There isn't enough music I like to justify wasting a CD-R on. I don't care for mix discs, and I don't download full albums from an artist, if I like a full album I buy it.
  9. The Playboy Mansion, in 3D. Why? DUH!
  10. You will need ROOT account access on the server as well as SSH access to the server in order to do this. If you don't know what either 1 is, scrap the idea entirely. If you are working from a Windows workstation, PuTTY is one of the best SSH clients for Windows, as well as being FREE.
  11. That only happens when Virtualdub corrects bad byterate values in an MP3 audio stream (Caused by the person encoding the movie, with a poor encoder, using VBR or a non standard bitrate value) Just go into Vdub, Options > Preferences, under the AVI tab select "Do not correct MPEG Layer III audio streams"
  12. The first two are important to an RPG, but you ARE playing a role of a character through a plot and story, thus an RPG without a good story is not a very good RPG. HOWEVER, it also depends on the type of RPG. Hack 'n Slash RPG's don't require a good story, but if they lack in the battle system department they won't go anywhere and will suck. As for cutscenes, flock cut scenes........they have nothing to do with the game, they just add a little flavour (or if overused, annoy the crap out of you)
  13. People who can't spell properly (It's OFTEN GryphonKlaw http://www.dictionary.com ) People who use bad grammar (Ebonics and Engrish are LAME!) People who are niave and then refuse to accept being told how it is/the truth. I hate n00bs! There is a difference between a NEWB and a n00b, and I think we all know what it is!
  14. I owned an Atari ST, and I've never even seen an Amiga, EVER. I was using my Atari ST up until Pentium CPUs came around. It was a better machine than a 486 PC by far. I also owned an Atari Falcon, which (by looking at specs and screenies of Amiga stuff), Amiga has got NOTHING on. I'd still like to check out an Amiga some day, but there is 0 justification in me buying one. And I don't enjoy emulated computers, it just doesn't feel the same.
  15. You are totally correct on that one. Ask mosts bands and they will tell you that they don't get hardly anything from the sales of CD's. They make their money doing concerts and selling stuff like shirts and other paraphenelia.
  16. 2D is at it's end.......I'm a BIG hater of 2D fighting games because of their repetitious nature over the last 3 years. 3D doesn't have a whole lot to offer yet (Just a handful of some decent games) but it has WAY more potential to go further. 2D fighters are at a DEAD END, just accept it.
  17. Atomiswave is a low budget Dreamcast in a box.........so no, you didn't say anything even relevant to my idea. Your statement indicates a console LESS powerful than Dreamcast.
  18. Sega would be stupid to partner with Microsoft.......the Xbox 2 WILL lose money just like the first one, and people in Japan do NOT like Xbox very much. I can see them partnering with Nintendo, do NONE of you know about TRIFORCE arcade hardware? (Sega, Nintendo and Namco) Another idea would make you SNK freaks piss your pants: Sega is majority owned by Sammy (Over 50% stock), Neo Geo has gone Atomiswave........AND the AES/NGCD systems sold VERY well to the "niche" market they had (small, but did well for a niche market!). Did you ever think that Sammy may be backing Sega on a new console, that has the SNK/Playmore design teams developing for it? I did...... P.S. YOU PEOPLE NEED TO LEARN HOW TO FLOCKIN SPELL! I'VE SEEN 4 OF YOU SPELL THE WORD "BOUGHT" AS "BAUGHT" MANY TIMES IN MANY THREADS!!
  19. I wouldn't buy ANY CD's if I couldn't find out what the rest of the tracks on it were like before buying one. I've spent money in the past on albums that ended up being utter CRAP, save for 1 or 2 singles that made it onto the radio and I will never do it again. What the industry doesn't realize, is they need to stop pushing a band with 1 or 2 songs, and then stuffing the rest of their album with songs that suck big donkey nuts. It's pissing alot of buyers off, and they resort to outright piracy, or they will pirate a whole album first, to make sure they wouldn't be getting F**CKED by buying it without hearing all of it first. And secondly, CD prices are WAY too high. The avg CD price here in Canada is between $15 and $18, and that is just way too much, especially when 90% of bands have only 1 or 2 good songs on their album, and 10 other CRAP songs. And most albums have an avg of 10-12 songs......what a f*cking rip-off, a good band should have an album with at least 18 tracks, and more than 75% being songs that don't make you want to pull out your hair and make your ears bleed. Today's music industry spits out SHOVELWARE music, and they wonder why piracy is rampant. CLUE IN RIAA, YOU DUMB F*CKS!
  20. You'd also need a signal board to convert the signal to one that would be compatible through USB. I'm ordering in a dozen SNES pads and bare serial leads, that I'm going to wire up directly for serial port plugin, and will be selling them in my store. But that will be a couple weeks before they come in.
  21. I live in Canada, where the equivalent of the RIAA was PIMP SLAPPED by the courts and told they can't force ISPs to divulge information or anything of the sort. I feared not 6 months ago, I fear not now.
  22. I'm listening to the tap drip, and the crickets chirp outside......all while cleaning my gun and making some explosives. Cause I'm a caaarazeee redneck serial killer who lives in a trailer somewhere out in the woods. Hey....you didn't say it had to be music.
  23. Yes, you have to add a poll within 24 hours, otherwise the option is taken away. I can't stand fighting games, so I voted "GO TO HELL IT SUCKS" hehe
  24. 007 - The World is Not Enough for Gameboy Color
  25. I live in Canada, where (during the summer) we see 30 degrees Celcius all the time, but in the spring? Hell no. It's still nice and cool here atm. I used to work in a factory that had 4 ovens pumping 350 degree temperatures all the time, and when we went for break during the summer, 30 degrees felt like it was air conditioned outside.
