PS2's drive failures are quite common.......doesn't matter if you bought it yesterday. A burnt disc that has errors will NOT be responsible for harming your drive, period. Sounds to me like you just have a quirky drive, and if it's working again maybe the quirk came and went. For your sake, hopefully forever.

RIght at this VERY moment, whoever is DJ 'ing and wanted to know how the cross-over of voice/music is........it was PERFECT, sounded just like a real radio station DJ talking over the music as they started playing it. Keep those settings for that situation! You need to lower your mic volume just a tad though, your voice is VERY loud overall even at a low volume. Edit: You turned it down! Put it back! Edit: nm, you put it back hehe

Not for me there isn't. There's a space for it, but nothing ever appears there. I've noticed that too, but it only seems to happen when a page loads rather quickly. For pages you haven't visited before, or if you've cleared your cache, you will notice it. What annoys me is that links will not work on a page until it has finished loading. Pisses me right off if I know where I am going, but have to wait till the current page is done loading.

I much prefer RockNESx over those others, but all are very accurate emulators. My preference is due to the graphics options and rom browser. Nesticle although, is a very INaccurate emulator. Good for playing roms on a 486, but as far as accurate emulation goes, it's VERY inaccurate.

All the Goodxxx dats, and other programs that check your console roms are derived from the command line based Goodxxx programs. If you scan something with GoodSNES (The real tools not some flockin dat or other scanner) it's the way it should be, not incorrect. There are also TOSEC sets for some consoles too, but they are generally lacking certain files that can be found in the Goodxxx sets. The real deal Goodxxx scanners are where these people who write dats for Romcenter etc get their values from, so if you scan rom(s) with the actual Good Tools, and it comes up with something different, it's your OTHER scanner that is wrong, not GoodSNES for instance. Nuff said

Scrolling works perfectly fine for me........smooth as butter and I have no added extensions. And you want something that shows how much of a page has loaded? There is already a bar at the bottom right when you load a page, that fills up as more of the page loads, then goes away once the page is done loading. Am I missing something here? What more could you want regarding that?

I don't usually show anyone a pic of myself, for the simple reason that I HATE CAMERAS! Well and the fact that I never had a picture of me taken since I was 16, but my GF managed to snap one off without me knowing she was going to do it, and I don't think it looks all that bad considering I hate having my picture taken........ I don't know much in regards to anime either.......so I pretty much have only heard of the ones that were mentioned. NEITHER! All the dats floating around for those rom utils are based soley on CRC values alone, and are incorrect. Use GoodSNES (The REAL, command line based one) or you'll be sitting with an incorrect rom set.

There is only one problem with the idea of a radio station for this website, the Shoutcast software cannot be installed and configured over the net, it has to be done locally on the server that will be running it. Gamecop doesn't have hands on access to this site's webserver, so if this was to be done it would have to be done by someone here who can host it 24/7 on a T1 or better connection. Thanks for the test though, shows just how easy it can be done. Now which one of you is going to offer running a server and present the idea to Gamecop?

Use Daemon Tools to mount it. MDS is like a cue sheet for MDF files. MDF = Media Descriptor Format (FantomCD image format)

Board specs Plain and simple........GENERIC END USER JUNK! This puppy has integrated graphics, meaning you can't plop your own video card in there. It's only got 3 PCI slots (Though depending on your needs this may not be a problem) Integrated audio, though you can disable it, is always some cheap CRAP and even disabling it can prove to be difficult sometimes (Often it just doesn't seem to want to disable fully, or insists on causing other issues when you do) Plus, Intel boards although very stable and good boards, don't give you much control over what you can do with your system. Wanna overclock? FORGET ABOUT IT! I recommend this board, or a similar variant depending on your needs.

Let's just say I talked forum layout over with Gamecop a couple times, and there are some ideas for changes when he switches the site over to IPB 2.0 He doesn't wanna do anything major while still running 1.3 from what I got out of the conversation. And why break a good thing, when you have plenty of potential to have it broken FOR you by the IPB team anyway?
