If you downloaded ePSXe from the official website (Like you should have) the directories are already created for you in the zip file. But anyway, since they don't exist for you....... folder "sstates" = Save State folder folder "memcards" = Mem card folder

You won't find "raw rips" of any Dreamcast game that is larger than that of a normal CD. Something is downsampled (IF the group is good, like Echelon) or ripped out entirely (Bad like Kalisto in some cases). You seem to fail to realize that GD-ROM is a 1GB disc.

music quality in downloaded games
ken_cinder replied to Vchat20's topic in DreamCast & Saturn Emulators [/pc/dc+saturn]
IJTF_Cinder coughs and says "You get what you pay for" Though my rips of those games don't have crappy music, I can't tell there is some sort of quality loss..........bad rip? -
I don't believe anyone else has ever referenced this anywhere, OR posted a video of it. But on my new (Very new, I still need me some artwork) website, I've thrown up a video of said trick. More info here.

1964 v.0.9.9 ..the story about a swindle!!
ken_cinder replied to cloud79's topic in N64 Emulators [/pc/n64]
I might add to this the fact that you shouldn't use the Daedelus plugins for anything but the rare occassion when they DO work better. The Daedulus plugins in many cases, cause more problems with games. This plugin isn't 100% compatible with the plugin system used by 1964 and PJ64 in the first place, so I don't see why everyone raves that it's so great (It screws up nearly every game I've tried them with) Oh, and stay away from non official RDBs for PJ64. They break games while claiming to make others run better. Idiots who think they know how the RDBs should work...........should stop mucking with em to begin with. Thats my "10 cents" for today on N64 emulation. -
Awww! I missed all the fun! I love it when lamers and n00bs come and cause trouble, cause I get to make them look like complete idiots!

1964 v.0.9.9 ..the story about a swindle!!
ken_cinder replied to cloud79's topic in N64 Emulators [/pc/n64]
1964 does not claim to run all games perfectly. If you read this anywhere, you read it from a source that has nothing to do with the actual creation of the emulator. Take at face value, ONLY what you read from an emulators official site, in this case HERE That said, Project 64 is STILL better IMHO, and the authors of any emulator owe you NOTHING, as you aren't paying them to do this, and they do it of their own free will, on their spare time. "Playable" does not = Perfect Results vary and opinion on how "playable" a game is, is just that. Opinion. P.S. 1964 is not a new emulator by any means. It's been around for years. -
This place sure has blown the f*ck up since I first started coming here. I remember being the only one on the forum, VERY often. Now there is someone else on here any time I come to read posts. I first met Gamecop and Magnis over at Arcade@Home, and came here when he started this up. It's done gone blown up now! So many people............

I'm interested in seeing some user made tables for Visual Pinball, from the users of this forum. I'll put the effort into creating my own if others are interested in doing this too. Then we could have our own custom pinball tables collection for 1Emulation.com Don't be shy, even if you think you can't make a good table, give it a shot. I've never made one before either, but the editor is pretty simple.

When I got this error, I exited Mugen and changed the VESA mode in my configuration and it fixed the problem. Try using the configurator and change the VESA mode to a different type, or manually edit the INI file if you're more comfortable doing it by hand. Then launch Mugen again. Trial and error process.

stays on intalizing sound screen
ken_cinder replied to dan_fan_000's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
Don't create duplicate topics. We all see the other one regarding this issue. Someone will help if they can. The rest of this don't have this issue, so it's difficult for us to help. Topic closed - Please refer to the original issue and don't make more duplicate topics. -
Make sure your video drivers are up to date. (The ones off the CD that come with any video card are not up to date) Don't be running P2P apps in the background while you play games. (If you have alot of connections, it takes a hit on CPU cycles). Don't be running things you don't need in the background, at all. Realize that the minimum requirements listed for a game, will not run the game acceptably, it will simply just barely run and probably not to your liking. So keep this in mind if you plan to not follow the aforementioned tips. P.S. A new video card on an older system will perform poorly compared to a new PC. Any less than 256mb of ram isn't a good thing with today's newer hardware and software. If you have 256mb or less, consider adding more. 512mb is a good place to be when it comes to RAM.

I have finally started my own hub!
ken_cinder replied to ken_cinder's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
I've never used Shareazza, but you are best off getting an actual Direct Connect client. Just for the fact of things like description tags etc, and compatibility. You could always try Shareazza though if it supports Direct Connect. -
I've started my own hub finally, after what some have said is something that is "long overdue" for me. °"•º»Retrogaming Universe«º•"° dchub://retrogaming.homeunix.com The hub focuses on classic gaming, thus games are a required share. (Roms, ISOs, whatever) The min share is: 1GB Max hubs are: 5 Min slots: 2 Max slots: 12 Hub:slot ratio is 1:1 I'm very laid back, as long as you share something relative to the hub I don't care what you share ontop of it, as long as it's not kiddy porn! Everyone is welcome!

Your older version of MAME that ran the game was not an official release of the emulator, thus you would need to upgrade with another non official release. Try gettin a newer version from the same place you got 0.77.

Looks to be called "Mugen Megamix" and can be found here. Click on the "My work" link on the left of the site, and at the bottom of that page you'll find the downloads for the conversion.

Wrong forum, thread moved. Please post things in the appropriate forum where applicable. -
My girlfriend has supposedly not gotten my my main Christmas present yet, and I'm 99.9% positive I know what it is. A DVD+/-RW drive for my PC. As for what I'd buy myself. I don't have money left to buy myself anything on boxing day (Only selfish ppl do IMO) I buy my family members alot of nice things because I like to, thus I have no money for me on boxing day.

Dreamcast Online
ken_cinder replied to SinisterHiryu's topic in DreamCast & Saturn Emulators [/pc/dc+saturn]
Shibathedog is correct. Alot of non central-server based games are still very much playable. Seganet however is gone for the Dreamcast, and the Phantasy Star Online servers with it. Which really sucks, as I own a retail copy of PSO and I never have played it online. -
Everything you need to know about using Direct Connect can be found here. Hubs are "servers" on Direct Connect, that you connect to with other users to share files and chat.

Hate to be a meanie, but this is an emulation forum. There are plenty of places to find and download music, such as P2P programs (Kazaa, eMule, Direct Conenct, WinMX.......etc etc etc etc) If we let you request MP3's, soon enough we'll have everyone in here requesting anynthing and everything (Chaos) Topic closed

I've had the flu 3 times in the last 2 months, odd because I never get sick more than once or twice a year. I also have some kind of eye infection right now that has my right eye swollen half shut.
