#1 2020 Super Baseball #2 Metal Slug #3 Fatal Fury 2 #4 Wind Jammers #5 Super Spy This thread is almost a year old, and I missed it entirely.....

Hehe, yeah. I hate to say it, but I have 0 intention of buying any games for the console. I have 66 Neo Geo CD games on my hard drive right now, I play em with NeoCD SDL emulator.

If you have another computer you can always slap the hard drive in it and copy over the saved.eml files that are on the hard drive. Or take the hard drive to a friends and do the same thing. I'm not sure where Outlook saves emails to (I don't save emails to my hard drive) but I know the have.eml extensions, so doing the above and doing a search for *.eml should locate them for you so you can back them up. P.S. Don't forget that in doing the above, you will need to set the jumpers on your hard drive to SLAVE so that the drive isn't fighting with the drive on the other PC, for ownership of the MASTER access of the bus.

Thank you Emsley! Not everyone shares the same view of 2D fighters that all of you do. I like 2D fighting games..........the older ones, back when 2D fighters weren't the same thing over and over and had a new year tacked onto the end. I'm not meek and afraid to share a negative opinion of something like most people, if I think it.......I'm gonna say it.

Two big thumbs.......DOWN This stupidity needs to stop. There have been more than enough releases of the same game for every year. Just.......plain........stupid. And don't look at me like that.........someone needs to say it, and I did. 2D fighters need to DIE. They are played out.

Are we supposed to contribute things we're sick of too? If so, I'm sick of seeing all these SVC Chaos threads going and going like the energizer bunny. I'm sick of 2D fighting games.........

Everyone's opinion is theirs....... But I found this to be a terrible looking and playing game. It bored me right from the start and made it's way off my hard drive in only 20 minutes. (Glad I never bought it) I give it a 3 out of 10.

Well I'll be damned. I just checked it again and it seems something HAS gone wrong with the file. Must have been WinRAR's fault while archiving, because I converted the CDI to an NRG, burnt it and it played fine. Then I packed it up in a rar. I just opened it and loaded it in Nero and I get "Error: This is not a valid Nero image file" What's even more odd is plenty of people have downloaded it from me on Direct Connect and never complained, so maybe the archive has been corrupted at some point while sitting on my hard drive. If you use Direct Connect, an get on the Classic Sega hub (classicsega.homeunix.com) there are plenty of people who have the game shared.

How do I remove the statistical text?
ken_cinder replied to liminal's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
Read the readme.txt that comes with MUGEN. In there under "Hotkeys" is all the info for enabling/disabling debugging info/menu's etc, and other stuff. -
Pfft, this place only kicks ass because I'm here! j/k

The game never shipped with multiplayer support. However a patch was released after awhile to support multiplayer. (PC only) I own this game, and I did try out the multiplayer once it came 'round. IMO the multiplayer gets a little boring (Due to the maps for the most part) and the network code implemented is laggy (I lagged on a LAN for crying out loud). However since the game runs on the Unreal engine, by now there are probably quite a few users mods and maps etc...and maybe they've cleaned up the network code since the first few patches supporting multiplayer. P.S. This game is now 4 years old, so you should probably have a machine more than capable of running it. And it hasn't been undergoing any support work (patches etc) in quite some time.

I converted and burnt this exact image myself..........so it can't be corrupt. Make sure you're using a version of Nero that is at least 5.5.8.0 or newer, but DO NOT use Nero 6 as it is crap for burning multi-session discs.

.....I don't want an AES. I'm collecting every CD based console I can. And as far as I know, there is no difference in the games, but CDDA audio on the Neo CD is certainly better than chip based DSP audio. btw thanks for the info Baseley, looks like I'm gonna end up buying one off Ebay. All these websites with units for sale want too much for them.

First off I'd like to know...... #1 If I buy a Japanese system, will it play US and/or European games as well? #2 Will it play backups un-modded or will I need to modify it? Secondly, is there anywhere besides Ebay that deals in hardware like this that is in North America? (Canada specifically would be even nicer as shipping on a system from Japan is killer) I've been looking on Ebay and the prices for systems aren't too bad, but if I can find someone who specializes in these kind of systems that I MAY be able to get one brand new off of, or possibly get a better deal from, it would be nice.

Here it is....... Ikaruga self booting Nero Image File for Dreamcast. What's really funny is I posted this EXACTLY one hour after my last post. I'm a man of my word.......I said 1 hour.

Mame.dk is gone.......forever, well at least that seems to be the concensus as the word was that they lost EVERYTHING in a crash. Best place to get roms? P2P programs IMO Websites + roms = Thing of the past
-
Since I'm such a nice guy, I'm currently uploading a self booting copy of Ikaruga to my webspace for you. Check back in about an hour for a link to it. It's taking a LONG time to upload for some reason (5.5kb/s when my upload maxes out at 32kb/s), but I know the downstream speeds for you to download will be pretty quick as I've pulled stuff off it myself for backup reasons. I'm guessing the server allocates only a small part of it's bandwidth for incoming transfers, and most of it for outgoing transfers. Anyway..........will update post with a link when it's done upping.

how do i put GBC game on gba flash card
ken_cinder replied to Doogkie's topic in Other Emulators [/pc/other]
You'll need a Gameboy emulator for Gameboy Advance, get one from here. I'm not sure if any of them support Gameboy Color at the moment however. As for getting the roms on, the emulators should come with instructions on how to use them. I don't own a GBA so I can't help you any more than I have. The GBA doesn't play GB/GBC games straight off a flash card, the only other way to play them is with retail carts and a GB Bridge adapter for your GBA. -
There is a difference between "active" and "spammed to @#%^" This forum IS active, there are posts every day, it is not a spamfest of pointless threads like alot of "active" forums.....well, at least not as much, though I think 90% of the threads in Current Affairs are just that, SPAM.

When you load a game with ePSXe, the dos box will init the disc read and say something like "NTSC Disc Detected" or vice versa for PAL. Run games in ePSXe first and check out the dos box that runs in the background for region information. Also I'm pretty sure that PSX games have either their disc label (The name you see for the disc in windows explorer) or a file on the disc containing something like SLUS_008.09 (That number is Ehrgeiz US/NTSC) to show the region. Obviously US is well.........US, though I don't know what other regions would be, I don't have any non US NTSC games.

I have a copy of Magic Engine retail........don't think it's the very latest version though. (0.98 is the latest isn't it? I have 0.96) And I think HuGo is better than Yame (But to each his own)

Samus rocks! Nothing beats a female star in a video game, because it's not all that common even today. Not to mention she's just the best Nintendo character there is.
