WinRAR. It can create RAR (The best compression ratio) and ZIP files. I occasionally use WinZIP if I need to span ZIP files across floppy's (WinRAR can't do this with anything but RAR files for some odd reason), which I need to do with older computers I may deal with, like this 486 laptop I've got sitting here that I've been doing work for someone on. (Don't ask) You forgot #3 in the big name archiving tools btw. WinACE. As for 7zip, I've tested it, and read reviews. It's a buggy archiving tool and I don't recommend anyone use it. It's compression ratio is higher than WinRAR, but it's compression algorithym is unstable and can lead to corrupt packs more often than any other archiving tool.

I'm a bit shy and I don't much like dancing. I'll get up if my GF wants me to, but for the most part I'll stay seated and drink instead. Everyone tells me I dance great, but that still doesn't make me not shy to get up there in the first place.

I use Maxell silver discs, bought by 50 disc spindles. Never had a problem with any discs though.

Nice smackhead comment there........I'm from Canada. It doesn't happen every day here, it happens WAY more "every day" as you put it, in the US. And FYI, we're alot tougher on crime up here than you think. Why do you think our crime rates are ALOT lower than that of the US? Oh and I'd only murder someone in self defense, so I'd hang around and confess.

I would have an Afterburner II hydraulic cabinet (You know, the ones that move) That game rocks........and it's the only reason I'll go to an arcade anymore. If an arcade doesn't have one, I won't go...........seeing as even the arcade has taken on the same "fad" as consoles these days (Most games are shovelware ****) I do however already own a CPS1a cabinet that I'm refurbishing ATM, Double Dragon and Bubble Bobble Jamma PCB's. So I'm content.

I was a little lost........seeing as I still used the original server URL (Direct URL) Lost some of my posts, but meh. I didn't realize you were having to foot the bill for running this place. I think you should put up a paypal link on the front page..........you know, for donations. So much is offered here when it comes to helping people new to emulation, and I can only imagine how much bandwidth is used with everything related to this site (The hub, the files served up and this forum) You should at least consider putting up a paypal donation link, so that if someone wants to........they can. (But they don't have to)

Wouldn't the fact he has to feed on things for their blood (eat em raw) to survive, tie in with the fact that Solid was scratched by Vamp in MGS2? That's what I've heard. BUT.........I have seen the trailer video for MGS3, and it does flash dates from the 1960's (So I'm a bit stumped)

That's an easy one for me. It would totally be Super Metroid..........the best game ever.

Ant traps and RAID!

I had emulators for my early Atari systems that ran music formats not native to those platforms. If they are considered Emu's or not is beyond me.........but one would think so, because of the fact that at the time.......things were not cross-platform like they are with todays PC's.

Yeah.......like what about me? I rarely post unless I can help someone. But I come and look over everything and read alot of posts. Should I be denied access? I've been here for awhile too.

Guess the Game Thread Version 1.3
ken_cinder replied to DreamCastLover's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
I'm gonna guess "Burning Rangers" -
Gens also runs perfect for me in XP. You don't happen to be running XP Home *cough* XP Homo *cough* are you?
-
Let me just clarify something. ISO = 1 track ONLY BIN (+CUE) = Multiple tracks and sessions possible. Merely changing the extension doesn't work all the time, only with a single track image, and not with all programs. A burning app that relies on header info will fuxor the burn if it is expecting particular header formats. IE if it's an audio CD you cannot convert it to ISO. Or a game with more than one track, session etc (CDDA Audio or secondary data tracks)

How much have you payed in all for video games?
ken_cinder replied to Alpha's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
Way too much to tally up. I own approx 300 retail PC games alone. (Possibly alot more) 30 N64 games, 20 someodd PSX games...........etc etc. Thousands of dollars easily. -
I'm a hot ticket item on Direct Connect it seems. I'm just about to pack all my computer crap up now, I'm moving. But I'll be back sometime next week. Drop me a line on the hub when you see me, and I'll give you a slot to get it if you don't manage to squeeze in.

Simply put........project 64 is #1 for speed and quality. You could try 1964 but for the most part, it's not as good. Everything depends on your PC and the plugins you use. As with anything emulation, you must try and see for yourself.
-
Planet Emu has a complete set of roms for ZiNc.
-
House of the Dead and DOA may be emulated, but a release has not been put out yet with them included. You will have to wait for it and the roms. Direct Connect is your best option for finding the currently supported roms. Alot of people have them.
-
List plugins (Video, Audio, CDROM) used. ePSXe version and your PC specs and I will try and help you as best as I can from there. Before you reply, the best thing is to make sure your drivers for EVERYTHING in your PC are updated to the most current available public release drivers. DO NOT use beta drivers. Leave beta drivers for wierdo's and ppl looking to screw things up on themselves. lol
