EmulForums ZSnes Super Mario Kart Tournament
ken_cinder replied to ken_cinder's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
Zzzzzzzzzzzzz "Plane 544 to base. We are going down!" Crash and burn. I am still serious about this. If you're interested, post! If you're a guest viewing this, register......and post! Once we have a full roster of 8 people, match times can be decided upon. Cmon! Sign yo butt up! -
Timmah knows, and Timmah wasn't responsible for them going down in the first place. Don't give that over-rated twit anymore credit than he deserves. All he has is a website thats been up since what? 96? Emulation has been around longer than he has known how to code HTML. (Again.......he's over-rated, and others have pumped his evil image for him)

I thought VF2 and VC2 were model 1? Manx TT is good.......but i had no clue what hardware it ran on.
-
Huh? I think you have the wrong system. This is THE first model two emulator, and I don't know of any M2 games ported to PC. You won't find Virtual On, Sonic Fighters, Virtua Striker, Dynamite Baseball, Last Bronx, Indy 500 or Super GT 24h on the PC........
-
Well...... It's here. Sega Model 2 emulation. Nebula Model 2 test. It's only a first run at it (a test), but so far so good. I downloaded Virtual On, and besides some texture garbage it runs well. Speed is good. There is no sound yet. But this is a VERY good start. Roms and emulator can be found here. http://emulazione.multiplayer.it/emureview...del2/model2.htm Be advised however, it is not in english.

3 10/100 Linksys Fast Ethernet NIC's 1 5 port 10/100 Linksys Fast Ethernet Hub 1 80GB 7200rpm Western Digital hard drive Misc odd and ends. I've got a network of PC's in my house to maintain, upgrades are on the constant, moreso at the lower levels.

A sticky in each platform/systems section would be good. That way you could just post somewhere that has translations for a specific game, on a certain system.

H@A is not about arcade or consules, it's about...
ken_cinder replied to someboddy's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
Yep Current Affairs is 90% spam, and every other section is comprised of some spam. I said I was simply not going to go there anymore, but I do (so rarely though, I post maybe once a day now.....if that)because sometimes I have questions I know I can get a perfect answer from someone on there. And I like helping on there too. -
Well if they don't plan on releasing another version, I would love to see the source released. I would take a crack at adding netplay support. (My coding skills aren't great, and I've never done coding on anything emulation related before. But you gotta start somewhere right?)
-
I have Command & Conquer, Doom and Warcraft 2 on here right now. They run fine. The only thing I have problems running is anything utilizing DOS4GW.EXE (Such as Nesticle. But I canned that extremely innacurate emu long ago anyway) I've tried some really old dos games that I've found lying around on CD's here (You know like PC gamer discs where they give you some super old game in its full version), and they run way too fast, unless you change the way it utilizes memory.
-
Ah you must be talking really really really OLD dos games for speed issues then. That I can see, but exactly what was ever good in dos that was THAT old? I can play Doom on here just fine, anything older than that for PC dos, I don't even care to see. Cause before that, PC's sucked.......and Atari ruled.
-
I seriously don't get whats up with people saying DOS programs don't work in XP. There isn't a thing I can't run in DOS on here. (At least that I've encountered)

Where can I find WWF Wrestlemania 2000?
ken_cinder replied to fast benny's topic in N64 Emulators [/pc/n64]
You can get it on P2P programs such as Kazaa. If need be, IM me on AIM or Yahoo and I will send you it. -
EmulForums ZSnes Super Mario Kart Tournament
ken_cinder replied to ken_cinder's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
If needed I can host a game if two 56kers are paired together, as it may help allieviate lag symptoms. I'll just set my controller to 3rd one and watch as the two race! -
Ok first the rules (Lets get those outta the way) #1: No practice once the two competitors have connected. Practice beforehand. #2: Everyone needs the same rom (I believe only the name must match, not the actual headers etc). We will be using Super Mario Kart (U), unzipped and in SMC form. (Trust me, it works better unzipped...sometimes refuses to work in netplay if rom is zipped) #3: ZSnes version 1.36 to be used, version 1.377 was not an official release, and was subsequently back tracked by the devs. (It was leaked) Get it here http://www.zsnes.com/ #4: Games must be completed, if disconnection occurs.......it does not result in a disqualification. Just do it again. Time's........well we'll have to figure those out. So when you post here signing yourself up, state the current time it is so we can figure things out. Sign-up. First 8 people to sign up get the spots. First come first serve. http://membres.lycos.fr/ijtf/forum_files/S...S%20Tourney.txt ^That is where results of matches, and participants will be shown. I will update it after each match. Opponents will be randomly drawn out of a hat by yours truly. I'm in! How about the rest of you? Time here = 10pm EST Spots #1:IJTF_Cinder #2:solidius23 #3:COCOPUFFS #4: #5: #6: #7: #8:

Emulforums SNES Tourney?
ken_cinder replied to ken_cinder's topic in NES & SNES Emulators [/pc/nes+snes]
I was thinking of it being an 8 player tourney. So we need 8 ppl, and have em get on a chatroom in AIM. All matches don't need to be played in one day. So best times could be arranged for everyone. I think I'll put myself in charge since twas my idea. lol Here's how it'll go. Gotta edit and show you a txt file (It wont appear on here correctly) http://membres.lycos.fr/ijtf/forum_files/S...S%20Tourney.txt -
Emulforums SNES Tourney?
ken_cinder replied to ken_cinder's topic in NES & SNES Emulators [/pc/nes+snes]
The game is run on a P2P architecture. Which means if one lags, the other does too. I play all the time with my buddy who is on 56k (And he only connects at 28800bps) and it rarely lags. So that covers the issue of someone having an advantage. -
Lets organize a tournament for an SNES game. We could set it up on here, listing matches and having someone in charge post results. We need a game though. I think we could start off with something like Super Mario Kart, in 2 player heats, on ZSnes. (We could always hold a second one with another game after) What do you think?
-
Umm Area51 is not that silly game with AeroSmith in it. Area 51 is a shooter with Aliens and stuff in it. And it IS very good. Revolution X is what you are thinking of.
-
It's no secret even on Mame.dk......they just haven't removed that little notice. It's blatently obvious when they are thanking people for uploads in the news table.

What portable system you think will come out next
ken_cinder replied to XXLEnigma's topic in Other Emulators [/pc/other]
With the GBA and the newest incarnation of the Wonderswan ruling the world. None of the major system producers will give it a shot. Microsoft would fail miserably, they don't know the first thing about portable devices, let alone portable gaming devices. Sony already said they won't touch that end of the market. Nintendo will always rule the handhelds market, its etched in stone. As for CD based portables making portable gaming cheaper. Are you out of you're mind? That would make it cost even more. And what would be the use without at least a 64bit portable? Microtechnology is too heat intensive for a 64bit processor in a handheld. (Heck look at laptops, they utilize 32bit architectures and a small but effective cooling solution. A handheld wouldn't be a handheld under these terms). -
Go away! We don't need no steenkin chicken! Oops.......I forgot where I was for a min. Welcome back!
-
It's a peach gamecube not orange (Same diff basically, but still a girly cube lol), and I still have yet to see it anywhere. I bought a Platinum not because it would match my TV etc, but because it just looks cooler! Oh yeah, it does match my stereo though.........that is Platinum. lol And Metroid Prime rox! I'd be playing it more, but I'm frickin sick and I keep napping all the time.

We need netplay plugin support for PJ64! I know.........how and who? I seriously would love to play 3 of my friends in battle mode in Mario Kart 64 over the internet though. The only emu with netplay support were earlier versions of Nemu64, and lets face it........Nemu64 sucks, netplay what games? Almost none worked. Anyone with me? We should find out A: How it can be done? B: Who can we ask about it, if none of us are able to get on it? I'd get involved with its creation, if I could.
