  1. Not playing anything, just modded 2 in the last 3 days. Anyone want to buy a TSOP modded 1.4? lol
  2. Uh, I bought a couple new fans on Ebay for a few dollars. lol I don't bother with warranties when I can fix it myself. I replaced the keyboard on my laptop, which is still under warranty.
  3. Wow, that's odd. You should be able to uninstall them like any program from Add/Remove Programs.
  4. Daemon Tools has no problem with mixed mode images whatsoever. It's programs requiring direct access to the disc to read CDDA tracks as proper audio tracks that have a problem when they aren't on a physical medium that can be translated directly by Windows itself. On XP, you need a set of ASPI drivers installed for this to be possible. I've yet to play a Sega CD, Playstation or PCE-CD game that this isn't a problem with, if ASPI drivers are not installed. Install this, and it should fix the problem. ASPI_2K_XP.rar
  5. Like I said, leave it on for guests and bots. Then it doesn't affect search engine stuff. You could always even create another member account for people who wish to have it on.
  6. Who still uses the highly inferior Xsnes9X? ZSNEXbox is much better.
  7. Yay........cell shaded titties. NOT! If it wasn't for the fact they put some actual artistic style and REAL shading in with a true model behind it, this game would be a massive POS for being cell shaded. Street Fighter or not, cell shading almost always looks pathetic and half-assed.
  8. Sitting here typing away, as I slowly notice my primary x1650 is corrupting my screen. Reach into the case, then realize the fan on it is dead and it's so hot I could cook an egg in under 30 seconds on the heatsink! Pull the plug, card should be fine........but not until I replace the fan. I swear, every ATi card I have owned or do own, the fans die on them REALLY fast. The 8500 and the 9550's I own, I can tell the bearings in their fans are shot. They grind for the first few minutes on startup in those machines. This one would occasionally do similar, but I'd blow it out and it'd be ok. Now it's dead. I'm sick and flocking tired of the cheap ass fans ATi uses on their cards! I'm going to email them one hell of a pissed off email, and inform them that a customer who currently owns and uses SEVEN of their cards and several in the past, will no longer be purchasing their products..........all because of their corner cutting with cheap as flock fans. Oh but wait, you can't contact them! There's no way without calling them, but I did find this through self help. Really now? Your piss poor fans failing, means I have to buy another card or jump through hoops for an RMA? I don't think so.
  9. This is entirely by design, and how the real hardware works. Coin up the 2nd player and listen, play as 2nd player and listen. Nothing you can do about it, it's how the real game works.
  10. Won't blow my money on any, if I do bother to switch over I'll be 'ing it, and for more reasons than 1 but the simple fact that an OS isn't worth $500......
  11. Not yet, I'm far too busy with other things right now. I'm working on cleaning up my arcade cabinet, and I have another one to go pick up this weekend that needs some work. Not to mention much other non game related stuff.
  12. And I bet most of the NO votes aren't against dropping the filter, your poll was a bit one-sided looking. I voted NO because I think it's unfair to only drop the filter for premium users and up.
  13. Nobody would come to visit me, it's farking cold here! And I doubt anyone would pay my airfare to go somewhere else, so umm yeah..... The closest member to me is Bambi I believe, then Wizard who is like 600km away! I'm going down to the next Playdium/Starburst Auction though (Not the one this Saturday, whatever is next and is warmer!), maybe Bambi would finally like to meet me there?
  14. Easy enough to keep search engines from picking it up. Keep the filter enabled for bots and guests.
  15. Good luck with that, it will take writing an entire new section of code that is linked across modules and a new DB table. I say in that case, just drop the damn filter. We aren't here to babysit, that's a parents responsibility. Now anyone caught being a total douchebag cursing up a storm, we can deal with that on a per user basis. (I haven't had cause to bring out my boomstick lately.......)
  16. I really need to get in on this prefab stick thing. I could build something better and less expensive than all the commercial garbage I see for sale.
  17. General swear words should be uncensored. Certain things that are just over the top is what should be censored. I know IPB has a feature to limit things like "?????????????????????????????????" and turn ALL CAPS posts into properly formated text. I could take a look at the sections of code responsible for that, and maybe come up with something that keeps people from making a post with a whole bunch of cursing in it. ie; restricting the use of a curse word to like 2 times in a post.
  18. He's one of those fighting game freaks. Liking them is one thing, but we have a few here that are like "Not a fighting game? OMFGWTFBBQ no other games exist!" We are supposed to know this stuff.
  19. I'm not all that impressed, but had I never played or own the original I might be. I already found a bug, but have no idea how to report it.......though it probably already has been. You start out with Crash giving you a rundown of the game, go into spectator mode right away and move the cam up to the ceiling. Now go back to being a player, you're in the arena and she's still back in the tutorial area. You have to start a new game. The game difficulty levels are also not different at all. I CANNOT beat crash on the easiest difficulty. In the original Q3 (Which I just fired up) I can go through easy without dying once. GTFO! On the lowest difficulty here, EVERY shot she fires nails you if you don't get behind something.
  20. WTF is emulation? Isn't that something from the 20th century? Face it, emulator developers are a dying breed, as are users who even have interest or comprehension skills to use one. All we have now, are dumb kids (Seems to be defacto standard these days, no offense current kiddies) who can barely muster the brain cells to put a disc in a console properly.
  21. Cycle-per-cycle, the PowerPC would destroy the original xbox's crippled Celeron processor. Errrt! Try again! MAME relies solely on CPU. The Gamecube PPC spanks the crap out of that gimped Celeron, it was limited in every other way though. And MAME isn't solely dependent on CPU. You need a decent amount of RAM to work with for caching ROMs and program code (64MB is VERY limiting here when you look at some of the 90s titles), and a GPU with very little VRAM allows for poor scaling and effects performance (Read some of the documentation on MAMEDEV regarding this). While an ultra high end video card won't do a damn thing for you in MAME versus an old D3D6/7 capable card, using some POS ancient tech with only 1-4MB VRAM is going to seriously hamper your ability to play anything beyond the classics like Frogger and Donkey Kong. I think what you SHOULD say, is MAME is mostly/primarily CPU dependent.
  22. Watch for DLC for SF4, containing new characters. One in particular, Guile Shrimp!
  23. Doesn't suck as bad for them as much as it does for Circuit City employees. What, like 30k people are going to be out of work very very soon. Welcome your new masters, Best Buy the new markup kings!
  24. I don't want to be a jerk, but this news is big old.....weeks old. And EGM has sucked for a good 10 years now, I stopped reading their tripe around the dawn of the N64, when unbiased reviews went out the window in exchange for silver lined pockets for tainted reviews.
