  1. 3DO licensed the tech out, it's like the Panasonic Gamecube. The Goldstar model is like the Panasonic FZ-1, only built cheaper thus it cost $100 less than the FZ-1 when it came out ($399 versus $499, the FZ-1 cost $699 when it first came out). The disc tray was flimsy compared to the FZ1 and it's power cable is hardwired, and the shell was thinner and easier to damage. Other than that, it's pretty much the same inside. Both are front loading, the Panasonic FZ-10 is a top loader that is built like crap. And James, I have a couple 3rd party 3 button pads I can GIVE you if you'll pay shipping. I can't remember the last time I turned my FZ-1 on, and I have 3 or 4 controllers. P.S. The 3DO is like the Dreamcast when it comes to games.
  2. I'm playing Planetside again, an MMOFPS. Been playing again for about 3 weeks on a trial and just paid for 3 months a few days ago. ($40) I've long gotten sick of grinding MMORPGs with no real value in them, even the free ones. I've found once you get into Planetside and start playing with a squad and making friends, it's REALLY fun and you don't much concern yourself with leveling and gaining points.
  3. Too bad it's so poorly optimized on PC, that it runs like a turtle on lithium. I couldn't hit more than 24 fps with everything turned down and 640x480........something VERY wrong there.
  4. Given that it would appear the "Fore" games were not new games, just versions of existing GT games with the above features, I can't see the MAME team even bothering with them. None of the features in the "Fore" games can be implemented in an emulator without some sort of online database (The MAME team doesn't care for online multiplayer to begin with, so I can't see this either).
  5. I was about to say that myself. There are still people running single cores, playing the latest games..........albeit not as well as dual/quad users. Your specs are little better than mine, you'll be fine. It's all in how you use your hardware, not entirely in what you have. Just keep things clean, don't have processes running you don't need, keep your hard drive defragged and even with 3GB of physical RAM allocate 1-2GB of FIXED (Don't let windows manage, FORCE a size) swap space (Preferably on another hard drive)
  6. Let's not forget, Midway was responsible for publishing UT3, and Epic is working with them to release an expansion. They're not going anywhere, this is pure speculation by PCMag. It's already public knowledge well before this thread's creation (And PCMag's mag actually hitting shelves) that they canceled licensing for NBA Ballers and other NBA titles. This frees up money (Geez, PCMag sure contradicts themselves in the same article now don't they?) and they aren't losing money on games that don't sell (NBA ballers games did VERY poorly).
  7. I have yet to see more than 2 JP only releases since the 16 bit days, that I could give a rats ass about. They can keep all their "Been there, done that a million times" shmups, cloned RPGs and their dating sims TYVM.
  8. I've been playing Planetside for the last week and a half, EVERY day. Older MMOFPS, I just can't seem to stop playing.
  9. October 21st, 0c and it's snowing like a SOB here! Most of it isn't staying on the ground, but some is and it's slushy and white everywhere. I can't recall the last time it snowed this early, where it wasn't just flurries that melted before they could take hold on the ground. Snow anywhere else?
  10. Don't think it comes any other way now. If you want the "player" you have to download the Shockwave player. Every time I hit the flash page, it automatically tries to install the FF plugin.
  11. Good call! ALL women like that.........they just don't know it yet!
  12. Can you guys bottle that stuff up and send it here? It's already getting too cold here, I don't want winter to come!
  13. You tell em to STFU Shoma, real men don't know these words. I have alligator/He-Man skin, wtf is this "epidermis"?
  14. And some people say buying sports games is dumb.... How many iterations of fighting games will people buy, over and over and over? King of Fighters 4040!
  15. De Caprio is a damn good actor aside from a few of his gay roles. He did an amazing job in The Departed Just ignore him, he has that sexually insecure-hate other guys cause they steal his womenz, thing going on with guys like De Caprio.
  16. Very much real, but I've always wondered why one would even bother with a helmet. Helmet ain't gonna save you from an impact with the ground from hundreds/thousands of feet up! I've been skydiving and skysurfing, and for some reason I don't think I'd have the balls to do this.
  17. It's not an X360 dash, it's a skin for XBMC. As for what KOF game, couldn't tell you, I hate KOF.
  18. Yeah but it's not the average Joe's responsibility, OEMs like Dell should have class action suits filed against them for selling hardware that doesn't meet the standards of an OS they provide on said hardware. If I paid a premium for a computer that is just supposed to work, it better damn well work and not be gimped. It's like buying a new car, with a used engine under the hood. Would that fly? Nope!
  19. Mike Tyson has a tat on his face. Gay is thus proven fact.
  20. He's arguing semantics, and it's making him look fool. Oh and nobody lays down a bike on purpose? Yeah, cause it's a great idea to hit the side of a car when you don't have enough room to stop, rather than toss the bike at it and get off the damn thing!
  21. I recall Major Nelson saying something to the effect, of being able to switch between the original style dash and the new one, months ago.
  22. Whatchoo talkin bout Willis? I moved it to the news forum like an hour ago.
  23. Given it's a Pentium 3, you are probably running PC133 SDRAM, which you can find for almost nothing these days. A RAM upgrade is very much needed for you if you can't afford a new rig, 128MB didn't cut it then. Crack the case open and see how many free/total ram slots you have. If you've got 128MB and 3 empty slots, find yourself another 3x128MB sticks. 512MB is a good place to start, 1GB would be good (Take the 128MB stick out and pop 4x256MB sticks in). Anything beyond that, you will need to know for sure the board supports it, many desktop boards from the P3 era, didn't support over 256MB modules unless they were high end boards. Some boards only even have 2 slots, supporting 512MB total (Or 1GB, depends on chipset). One Gigabyte board I had was like this.
  24. Wow, thanks for the useless loose interpretation of our posts. We, especially I, am well aware of what you said.........infact, it's pretty much what I said!
