04, hell I've been running IPB default since the start. I HATE the default skin when you aren't logged in. Dark skins don't work well unless you have a moderate color for text. The bright on dark is not only hard on the eyes, but hard to read after a bit.

Problems with CPS3 Emulator 1.0a
ken_cinder replied to Sevil Nahte's topic in Arcade Emulators [/pc/arcade]
128MB of RAM is probably insufficient on it's own to cause problems. Never used this emulator though, so I don't know it's methods and loading process, but you are requiring to load all the roms and a disc image for CPS3 games right? I'd bet you simply don't have enough free RAM (And maybe swap space on HDD) for everything to load. -
Yamaha’s Exoskeleton Motorcycle: The Deus Ex Machina
ken_cinder replied to Krosigrim's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
You can quote the game all you like, but even Eidos cannot copyright the words "Deus Ex Machina" as they literally mean something and aren't a "name". They can copyright it for a video game, but only a video game. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deus_ex_machina Yamaha can likewise copyright it for their purpose, but nothing more (ie; Eidos couldn't sue Yamaha over it) -
I put a pic up in that Exoskeleton bike thread of the EXACT bike I'll be getting, provided the insurance quote I got online is true. (It was actually high compared to what I got when I actually called them for the first bike)
-
I get a payout for the value of the bike (It's only a few months old, with just over 4000km on it) according to it's appraised value. Since it's financed, all the money will be signed over to Honda Finance, I wash my hands of it and walk away. I may wind up still owing a few hundred on it (Interest and slight less value on bike due to use)
-
Figured I'd give an update for anyone interested. I got a call today, to let me know what was going on. Seems my bike didn't get off anywhere near as easy as I did. It's a write-off, repairs will cost more than the value of the bike. Guess I'm getting a new bike next spring.

It just won’t die: Windows XP gets another six months

I don't use any 1 click job AV editing software on Windows, so it's a non issue for me. AVIDemux is great on Linux, and does more than my favorite Windows app Virtualdub. I like to get my hands dirty, which is why I approve of Linux..........if you prefer to stay out of the proverbial "kitchen" then Linux is not for you. If you look, you will find equivalent or better software in most cases. The one thing I've found to be seriously lacking, are IM programs. Sure there are many, that support the major protocols, but they just plain suck! They're either lacking in the features department, but get the basic job done solidly........or the other way around. -

Only have the one car, and I prefer she use it. She has to take my daughter to daycare and drive to work, I work almost an hour drive away. It's why I bought the bike, much cheaper (Overall) than owning a second car. During the winter I just go in to work with my dad or a friend. An no nipple surfing! I don't wear a wife beater, shorts and a pair of sandals while riding! lol -

Not even close buddy, I threw it and myself down the center of my own lane. Sucked, but I didn't have much choice given circumstances. Shop gave me a quote of $2300 in repairs, tried to get me to avoid going through my insurance (I expected this, they're in this to make money after all), but since I'm at 0 fault no way! Other guy does have a valid insurance policy, just waiting on my claims adjuster to hear from his insurance so we can go ahead with repairs without me paying my $250 deductible. Going to ride it again next year, do the next level of my licensing (m2, valid for 5 years, take full M) and then sell it and buy this.......something that doesn't weigh barely more than I do and can plant itself better on the road. My bike is 280lbs with a full tank of gas! Weighs 421lbs dry, is wider and has power to get me out of troubles path (Something my 125R seriously lacks). Not sure about insurance though, might cost me too much, in which case I'll be buying the GT250R. -

Installing things IS easier on Linux, provided you use packages. Hell even compiling yourself is but a command away, as long as makefiles are provided. Not sure if you can use Illustrator or Photoshop in WINE, but GIMP can do everything Photochop can and more.......so I think that's a non issue. The ONLY reason I haven't switched to Linux, is games. Everything else is better on Linux, PERIOD. -

Yeah, good luck with that. My bike is barely wider than I am, this thing looks to be 2/3 the width of a small car. I'd ride circles around this thing. But can your bike drive under a truck? No, and neither can this thing. -
New sega hanheld coming next year!
ken_cinder replied to fumanchu's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
Sega has already commented on this, it's mainly a media player. It's primary focus is NOT gaming, just a side benefit like a phone with java support. -
Private Messaging was disabled yesterday thanks to our little spambot problem, remember? And as far as USB is concerned, the Xbox uses a custom USB interface. Theres an extra wire I believe, or one missing......and it's protocol is slightly altered. You can make drivers for PC to work with Xbox controllers, but not easily the other way around. Easiest way is to hack an Xbox pad by soldering wires to all the buttons, and wire an interface (Like a DB9 connector). Following the link in my sig for more info on this sort of thing.

Don't suppose you'd care to elaborate on this? I know the NES isn't exactly a complicated piece of kit when it comes to sound, but it doesn't output Midi. It functions on pulse/triangle waves, noise and D-PCM signals. P.S. Why not try borrowing the audio system source from FakeNES? It's in C, and easily (Relatively speaking) converted to VB (Hell there are online tools that will do it for you, at least in VB.NET)

I'll stick with my actual motorcycle thank you, that thing looks stupid and it sure as hell is too wide to be as nimble as a sport bike. -
Don't take what your manager did personally, it's up to them to take the heat if they went against policy. You can't, you're a lowly plebe. I've done certain things where I work, for my workers that goes against policy........because they can't. You did the right thing, and if your manager didn't give you $hit for it, who cares? The way some customers treat service staff makes me sick, I've actually smacked a total stranger in the back of the head before, for talking to a girl behind the counter like she was a piece of crap. Could you imagine what I would do to someone if I was the one behind the counter? I've seen the crap some people pull, I'd wind up pulling someone over the counter and kicking their @$$.

Binary for 0.2.1, still trying to find source. olafnes_v0.2.1.7z I gave Metroid a spin in it, and yeah the sound needs work, but it's not bad. Sounds like it just isn't being properly translated by the emulator........like a midi version of a song you'd find on a CD.

The Pandora team is taking preorders!

Overpriced, I bought a new laptop for $600 that puts it to shame. LAST YEAR! Sure, can't fit in my pocket.......but that's what a backpack is for. -
Pretty sure this is JKKDark. The first IP I couldn't resolve for some reason, the second offense came from an ISP in Germany. Coincidence? I think not. I'm not locking this either the thread still serves a purpose, just ignore/report to moderator button and don't post asking for removal, we can't possibly read all posts. Use the report button if you want it noticed........just wait a few minutes though, we may notice it on our own.

No, infiltrator is a chopper game that looks like the first video you posted........only not as colorful lol There are no NES screenies here, but the only difference from what I saw in a little screenie, was a lesser color palette on the NES. http://www.mobygames.com/game/infiltrator/screenshots

Was it Infiltrator?

Links on site for olafnes not working, binary or source for either version. Would like to have a look at both please.

I would so buy one of those, but my wife would turn me inside out and feed me my own nuts for wasting that much money on something with no real use. Besides, 1500 pieces won't make it rare. That's a considerable number of pieces for something that is only $425.

I was, my house purchase closed May 1st. Not saying it's cause of my wife, just saying I wouldn't like it if she told me out of nowhere "Yeah I'm going to meet this guy I know on the internet tomorrow/on the weekend." in order to do so to fit a constrained timeframe. Know what I'm saying?
