  1. Why do I keep hearing "No necromancer" or "They've replaced Necromancer with Witch Doctor"? Where is your proof, when only 2 classes have been shown, and there are to be five like in the previous game? Maybe that stupid Amazon will bite it? Ya think of that? There are no MALE Amazon's, but there can be females in all the other classes.
  2. $250 for a stick, with a touchscreen meant for ONE game? That's laughable along with all the other prefab sticks out there. Buy a damn 360 controller, make your own passthrough and arcade controller and be done with it for under $100, and deal with using the second analog stick to cover the touchscreen controls. Every single prefab arcade stick I've ever seen is disgustingly (And I mean literally puke worthy) overpriced.
  3. I never thought about the length before release, I figured (Without actually thinking about it) late this year/early next year. Given how much material is actually available, I'd say late 09 at the earliest. Guess I might pick up a retail D2 then.
  4. So BK, how about I join you in D3 then instead?
  5. Not one word about the N64 game(s), I enjoyed them, even if they were a faux-pas to die-hard castlvania idiots that are holier than thou and are 35 living in their parents basement.
  6. That may have been true then but doesn't that video suggest Carmack has changed his mind enough that he would be willing to release an id software game on the PS3 next year? Sure, but you can bet your ass ID won't be the ones porting it. They didn't even port Doom 3 to the original Xbox. Vicarious Visions did. It's quite possible they won't even do the 360 port, but if he's speaking about it directly, maybe they will. And it WILL be a port, theres no way in hell it wouldn't come out on PC. ID is a PC software house first and foremost.
  7. Abolutely not, especially in the anti-aliasing department, something the Dreamcast was VERY good at. There's really only 1 (Or rather 2) game to compare directly, and that's Powerstone Collection on the PSP, to the 2 Powerstone games on Dreamcast........there is no comparison. Then you could compare the visual quality of the Metal Gear games on PSP, to my favorite similar type game on the Dreamcast, Headhunter. Again, there is no comparison, Headhunter is a FAR better looking game. From a simple "numbers" comparison, it's just not possible anyway. But not for the reasons that you would think. PSP Specs CPU - MIPS R4000-based; clocked from 1 to 333 MHz GPU - (UNK?) 2 MB onboard VRAM running at 166 MHz RAM - 32 MB main RAM and 4 MB embedded DRAM. Dreamcast Specs CPU - 200 MHz Hitachi SH4 RISC GPU - 100 MHz PowerVR2 CLX2 8MB RAM - 16MB with 2MB dedicated to the sound processor Now, while the Dreamcast looks less powerful on paper, it's processors have a larger instruction set and superior capabilities. It's GPU also, while lower clocked, boasts 4X as much ram and greater capabilities than that of the PSP. Just remember for next console generation, while Sony and Microsoft (And hopefully Nintendo, sadly) are boasting about their systems on paper........paper specs mean NOTHING. I just gave you proof, right?
  8. The lack of love for the PS3, would be due to the fact that Carmack expressed his disdain for the multi-core architecture in the 360 back before it's launch, he certainly can't have any love for a bastardized multi-core Cell (1 core with what is it, 6 SPUs? SPUs are the equivalent of a math co-processor on early x86 CPUs. They've got to be a pain in the ass, ala Sega Saturn when multiple main processors would have made people say WTF). Only fanboys rant about any given system, REAL gamers own them all if they can afford to. All the systems have their drawbacks, but even though I want one, I can see why so many devs are having problems harnessing it's full power........it's an advanced Sega Saturn of the 21st century, with a Sony logo on it. Only unlike the Saturn, we've seen the first 2 years of sub-par development (Sony's fault for not fawning all over 3rd party devs with as much help as they possibly can) from 3rd party devs, but 1st party studios delivering decent first go titles. The next year SHOULD be good for titles on the PS3, provided Sony continues to support their devs well enough, especially new ones.
  9. Does this mean the best hackers in the world are Chinese or that Chinese gamers are more careless than American ones? Does this mean Chinese gamers use more cracked software than people in other countries? No it means Chinese MMOs, like Silkroad for instance, are larger targets for these hackers. Games like WoW are larger commercial projects, with a higher regard for security. How good do you think it would look if thousands of people started having their WoW accounts hacked? I'll guarantee you the WoW client checks for known exploits at startup.
  10. You and the others have it wrong. I have both games, and in Black the default difficulty is toned down a touch thanks to complaints as such. And the added Ninja Dog difficulty, although not much different in difficulty via the gameplay, is littered with pickups/powerups compared to normal. If this game wasn't hard to master, it wouldn't be such a good game. I hate easy games I can play for a half hour, then put a blindfold on and complete. Actually spend some time TRYING to play it, and you'll find it to be too easy in places on Normal. What the hell happened to love for games that actually challenged you? Oh wait, I know.......the post 16bit era born children are here.
  11. Nothing more than appeasement to the US government Robert, we have MANY laws here in Canada that have never once been enforced. This one will be no different, if it is.....it will be used in cases of mass infringement, such as the people who sell pirated movies (I know of several that sell hundreds of movies a week for like $5-$7 a pop).
  12. Hmm I would, as I love the game.......but I obtained it by no so pay money means. What precisely entails "online play"? Are there items not found offline? New areas? Basically, WHY should I play online? I may buy the game if it's worth doing so.
  13. The same 24 year old homeless guy? Wanna bet the pact makers did more than just share a messed up pact?
  14. Uh looks to me like it's set up for a network boot from a server. Set the BIOS to defaults and try again.
  15. Pics or it didn't happen! Oh wait, she's 52. No pics please!
  16. HD Playback is NOT built in per-say. You need to be running crap like Windows Media Player or other garbage for streaming. You can't simply access a shared folder ala SAMBA and presto. What's DLC and Live got to do with a "Complete Crack"? Nothing. You couldn't play on Live with the original Xbox if you were modded, and DLC was often locked to a specific system by matching keys with the hardware like the hard drive is. Nothing new here. As for the original Xbox handling most MAME stuff and what's wrong, are you guys f**king kidding me? There is SO much on MAME the original Xbox can't handle it's not funny. The latest MAME builds on Xbox are missing TONS of games in the core support that I enjoy. Not all of us play 2d fighting games ala CPS*/Neo Geo you know..... I won't pay for all my games, so yes I want my "backups, but I also want to have a more capable system running "XBMC". I use my Xbox for XBMC all the time, and can't remember the last time I played a game on it.
  17. Umm how about the playback of HD content? The first Xbox couldn't even play the Halo 3 720p teaser that was out BEFORE the 360 was even released. And you lost out on Live with a modded Xbox too, unless you disabled your mod. And if your hard drive was checked and not stock (Or at least appearing so) the same thing would happen. N64 emulation could be loads better, and even things like SNES emulation. Try running certain SNES games on any of the SNES emulators with certain filters, they can be quite the source of slowdown. Then there is MAME, WTF..... Every console in existance that has needed to be, has been cracked. Hell every piece of hardware in existance, given enough interest has been and will be cracked.
  18. I don't use it, I don't play games from the HD.
  19. I've been looking, and I'm starting to think you're kinda screwed here unless you're running Windows 95/98/ME. Which I assume you are not. I can't find even any Win 2000 drivers for this card. You COULD try the drivers found here - http://www.mirage-mmc.com/ftp/Video_Card.html They can be opened with WinRAR, however the one I downloaded was corrupt (Could be any reason, give them a try.......maybe one will work)
  20. Needs exciting emulation news! No news, no good! Me not post much!
  21. No, I mean IDE. Independence Day Exploit. I have several reasons why I wouldn't be bothered using a HD for games besides not caring about laser wear (Mine is still working perfectly, and my PS2 is like 5 years old). One being that per GB, blank DVDs are dozens of times cheaper than a HD. I also don't play many games at the same time, I'll play an entire game over the course of weeks before switching to another. Kinda doesn't make sense to bother with a hard drive in this case, but I do have one in there with homebrew and emulators etc. Pretty funny, since that drive just died......and the DVD laser is still working flawlessly. Same deal with my Xbox, 40GB hard drive with only those kind of things on it.
  22. I can't for sure say how others do it, but I bought a PS2 Action Replay MAX and used it to get the IDE on my memory card. With that already in place, I simply ran the Free McBoot installer and popped uLaunchELF into the BOOT folder Free McBoot creates (BOOT.ELF your loader must be named). I'm not sure how to do it otherwise, but theres got to be instructions on that forum linked to in the first post. Yes you can use HDLoader to run games off the HD, but quite frankly I find that silly. You'll easily fill that 160GB drive with several A titles that utilize a DVD9 for instance. And dumping to the HD is pretty friggin slow. You'd be best off putting oft played titles on there, and running others from disc.
  23. Tested and working perfectly. I can now put my PSX exploit trigger disc away. AND disc access works just fine on my PS2, I put my uLaunchELF on there as the bootloader, and proceeded to run Cogswap, and fired up a backup just fine.
  24. I attached it in my post. Not sure what restrictions for size you have with attachments, but it's only 212kb.
